SGBAU Evaluation Process 2020
The final evaluation of the students is based on their individual performance in each subject. This is done by two components, internal assessment and end-semester assessment.
The internal assessment will be based on the marks obtained by students in the test and the performance in seminars, group discussions, industrial visits, viva-voice and fieldwork. The end-semester assessment is based on the marks secured by students in their end semester examination.
On the basis of grades, GPA, SGPA and CGPA will be calculated. The performance of candidates is evaluated in terms of Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) which is an average grade point for a semester and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which is the average grade point for all semesters. SGPA is calculated on the following basis:
Where Ci: Credits in the course i
Gi: Grade points of a course i
S: No. of courses
Similarly, CGPA is calculated on the following basis:
Where Ci: Credits in the course i
Gi: Grade points of a course i
N: No. of courses
The University allots a grade with respect to the obtained marks. The allotment of grades is done on the following basis:
