IUST Awantipora BSc admission is subject to the fulfilment of the preset eligibility and selection criteria. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed Class 12 with the required minimum aggregate. Hence, it can be said that the candidates who have appeared or are appearing for Class 12 exam in the current year can apply for admission. A 'Declaration for Result Awaited Candidates' must be filled by candidates applying before their Class 12 results are declared.

Further, the selection criteria require applicants to have a valid CUET UG score. Hence, aspirants must timely apply for CUET UG. The application window for the exam usually opens around February every year. Candidates must visit the official exam website to stay updated on the latest exam dates.

SKUAST BSc (Hons) admission 2024 is entrance-based for the academic year 2024. For Free seats and Self Financing seats (State Domicile), admissions are through:

• Common Entrance Test through SKUAST-Jammu
• ICAR quota through All India Counselling by ICAR after CUET
• On the nomination of in-service candidates through state government (only free seats)
• VCI quota through NEET and based on the list provided by the VCI through their counselling portal

For Self-Financing seats under NRIs/ NRI Sponsored/ All India Basis/ Wards of Serving Employees Categories, admissions are through the University itself based on merit in SKUAST-J CET and marks obtained in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
