IPMAT Rohtak 2026: Registration, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation

Recently, IIM Rohtak has announced major changes in the IPM admission process and seat intake. The seat intake for the IPM programme has increase to 198 seats which earlier was 165.

Additionally, the weightage of IPMAT Rohtak scores has changed in the final selection process. More weightage is being given to the IPM Aptitude Test. 55 % of weightage is being given to IPMAT Rohtak, 10% each is given to academic performance in Class 12 and Class 10. And PI weightage will be 15%. 

IIM Rohtak will announce the IPMAT Rohtak dates and schedule online. The IPMAT 2026 exam will likely be conducted in the first week of May 2026. The registrations for IIM Rohtak IPMAT 2026 will likely begin in the first week of February 2026. The registration window will likely be open for approximately two months and will close in the month of April 2026.

The IPM Aptitude Test 2026 admission process is completely online, and the schedule will also be announced online on the official website. The IPMAT 2026 exam will be conducted in one shift only (morning shift) like every year. The schedule, along with the exam timings and duration, will be announced soon by IIM Rohtak in a detailed notification for the IPMAT exam.

IPMAT Rohtak registration 2026 will begin in the first week of February 2026. The application process usually goes on for approximately two months. Candidates will be able to fill the IPM Aptitude Test application form online. The IPM Rohtak application form will be available on the official website of IIM Rohtak till April 2026 (expected).

The IPM registration process usually begins with IPM AT form filling. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT Rohtak application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose their preferred test centres while filling the IIM Rohtak IPMAT application form. The difficulty level of the IPMAT Rohtak is subjective. The difficulty level of the IPMAT Rohtak exam is easy to moderate, as the test aims to evaluate a candidate's aptitude required for a management programme. 

Students can prepare well for the exam with strong preparation techniques and consistent practice and revision. They should cover the syllabus, try to understand the exam pattern, type of questions and work on their strengths and weaknesses. Students can prepare for the exam by taking mock tests and solving practice papers at the end of the syllabus coverage. 

The IPM Aptitude Test exam is conducted for two hours or 120 minutes. The exam is conducted every year in the computer-based test mode. There are three sections in the IPMAT question paper, i. e. Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. Each section is to be solved within 40 minutes. Since IPM Aptitude Test is a centre-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section automatically as soon as the time limit gets over. Thus candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in IPM AT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use 40 minutes per section as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must also keep in mind the negative marking in the IPM AT exam. One mark will be deducted from the overall score for each incorrect answer. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded. 

The candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent with a minimum of 60% aggregate for General category students. Students belonging to the SC/ST/PWD (DA) category will be given a concession of 5% in the total aggregate. This means, the candidates belonging to these categories should have a minimum of 55% aggregate to qaulify for the exam. Moreover, the selection process includes IPM Aptitude Test. To qualify for the exam, candidates must check the IPMAT syllabus and preparation strategy.

The minimum eligibility criteria to appear for the IPMAT exam is a score of at least 60% aggregate in both Class 10 and Class 12 or equivalent for the General and NC-OBC categories. The candidate should have scored a minimum of 55% aggregate in Class 10/SSC and Class 12/ HSC or equivalent examination in the case of SC, ST and PWD (DA) categories. 

Also, the candidate should be a maximum of 20 years of age as of July 31, 2026. The candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026.

Yes, students who have completely filled out the IPM AT application form and paid the application fee before the due date can make corrections in the IPM AT application form. However, there is a limit to the number of corrections that can be made. Also, only a few fields are editable after the form submission. • Applicants who have completed the IPM AT application process can make changes in the application form (if any) within the stipulated time.
• To make corrections in the application form, aspirants need to login on to the official website using their login credentials, i.e. Username and Password.
• The application form correction window will be open for a limited time window. 
• Changes and edits can be made only once. Once the form is saved after being edited, the form will be uneditable. Hence, make the corrections carefully.

The IPM Aptitude Test is conducted online in a computer-based test mode. The structure for the IPMAT Rohtak exam is as follows: 

IIM Rohtak conducts the IPM Aptitude Test only once a year. This year, the exam will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. Here are important topics for the exam according to the sections of IPM AT question paper.

Registered candidates will be able to know the details regarding their allotted IPMAT exam centre through the admit card. Important details such as the allotted exam centre name, address and more details will be made available through the IPMAT admit card. Therefore, the candidates will have to download the admit card and check the details carefully. In case of any discepancies, the candidates are advised to contact the authorities immediately.  

The IPMAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the IPMAT exam. IPMAT exam also has a sectional time limit of 40 minutes per section. The candidates need to solve the question paper in 120 minutes and this means that the candidates will have approximately two minutes to solve each question. Candidates must take care of saving their answers at every step as the moment 40 minutes get over, the screen will automatically redirect to the next section. The test will end automatically once 120 minutes of the test are over. The IPMAT exam is conducted in the afternoon shift. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates must make sure that they reach the IPMAT exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the examination in order to complete the frisking formalities at the entry gate. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre 15 minutes before the exam time.

No, digital copy of the IPMAT Rohtak admit card will not be considered valid for the verification purpose at the IPMAT exam centre. Candidates have to carry a coloured printout of the IIM Rohtak IPM admit card 2026 to gain an entry to the exam hall. IPMAT admit card is a very important document which is to be carried to the exam centre along with a recent coloured passport size photograph affixed to it. Along with the IPM 2026 admit card candidates should carry the following items:

1. Original Photo ID proof issued by the Government of India - Original Aadhaar Card/PAN Card/Voters Card/Permanent Driving License Ration Card and Learners Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof

There is no specific dress code for the IPMAT Rohtak exam. However, the students should wear light and comfortable clothes. Students can avoid bold prints, laces, etc. They must also refrain from wearing heavy and bold jewellery, mettalic items that may be considered security risk or distraction during the exam. Candidates should opt for wearing formal closed shoes and avoid slippers or high heels. 

Other things to keep in mind while dressing up for the exam day is, the students should dress up modestly and avoid revealing or overly casual clothes. 

Every candidate must carry a simple blue/black ball point pen and a two copies of their passport size photo to the IPMAT Rohtak exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Ever since the COVID-19 outbreak, IIM Rohtak's IPM candidates are required to carry drinking water, hand sanitizer, face mask and gloves along with them. They have to carry drinking water in a transparent bottle. No other item will be allowed inside the exam centre. They also must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the IPMAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified and barred from taking the exam. 

The IPMAT Rohtak exam is conducted in the morning session. IPMAT exam 2025 will likely be conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. The reporting time to the IPMAT exam centre will be mentioned on the IPM admit card. The candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour and a half before the exam begins. Candidates must note that the IPM exam centre gates will close at 8:30 AM and post that they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall beyond that. 

IIM Rohtak will conduct the IPM AT counselling for admission to the five-year integrated course. Talking about IPMAT cutoff 2025 for the General category students, the cutoff score stood at 381.

The last year IPM AT cutoff for ST and SC categories student stooad at 230 and 138, respectively. So, if a candidates belongs to these two categories can get admission at IIM Rohtak. 

For the General category, a score of 370 or above is usually considered a good IPMAT Rohtak score. The total score in IPMAT Rohtak is 480.  While a score in the 300-350 range can still provide a strong chance of getting through, candidates should for at least 370 and above to increase their chances of being shortlisted for the further selection process.

Once the IPM AT results are announced, candidates should start the last phase of their preparation for the further admission process which includes the Personal Interview. After the IPM AT result declaration, colleges which accept the IPMAT scores start the shortlisting process. IIM Rohtak also releases the schedule for the shortlisting rounds. 

Candidates can take part in the IPMAT counselling process if they get calls for the admission. The IPMAT admission process after the result declaration includes:

2. Participating in the counselling process which includes the Personal Interview (PI).
3. Submitting the required documents if you have been shortlisted.
4. Paying the course fee and getting an admission confirmation.

No, IPM AT is conducted only once a year. Candidates have to wait for the next session if they miss this year's exam. The IPM exam is being conducted in the CBT (computer-based test) mode. Based on the IPM Aptitude Test scores, students can apply for admission to integrated management programme offered by the prestigious Indian Institute of Managment, Rohtak. The exam will only be conducted in the computer-based test mode for all the sessions across various cities. The difficulty level of the IPMAT exam is usually easy to moderate and the candidates can easily prepare for this exam. Students should go through previous years' question papers and exam specific sample papers to know the kind of questions asked in the exam, their difficulty level and the weightage given to different topics to bifurcate the topics according to their importance in the exam.

Candidates can raise objections against the IPM AT answer key after they are released the and objection filing window has opened. IPMAT and IPM Aptitude Test (IIM Rohtak) have similar syllabus but the difficulty level is different. Both exams have Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability sections. IPM Aptitude Test is conducted by the prestigious IIM Rohtak, for admission to its five year programme in management. The Integrate Management Program, IPM, is a combination of BBA and MBA course offer at the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak. Candidates who successfully complete the course will be given an MBA degree and candidates who choose to opt out of the course after three years will only be given Bachelors of Business (BBA) degree.
