IPMAT 2027 syllabus and exam pattern

IPMAT 2027 syllabus needs to be completed by the students appearing for the IPMAT exam to score well. The first step to understanding the syllabus is to know about the exam pattern first. IPMAT stands for Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test. This exam is a gateway to IIM’s and top business schools in India. 

IPMAT is a five-year integrated management programme that consists of both undergraduate and postgraduate management courses. Students can directly take admission into this course after completing their 12th standard from a recognised board. 

IPMAT 2027 Exam Pattern

IPMAT 2027 is a CBT exam that is divided into three different sections, each of these having 40 minutes sectional time limit. 

The three sections of the exam are: 

• Quantitative ability (MCQ)

• Quantitative ability (Short answers)

• Verbal ability (MCQ)

Note: JIPMAT and IIM Rohtak also have a Logical Reasoning section in their exam. 

Quantitative Ability (QA) section involves questions around Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Ratio and Averages. Verbal Ability (VA) section involves questions around reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary. LR (Logical Reasoning) combines topics around arrangements, puzzles, accuracy, etc. 

There are +4 marks for the right answer and -1 for the wrong answer. MCQ-based questions have negative marking; however, the short answers don’t have any negative marking.
