As per the GAT exam pattern there is no sectional time limit. GAT BBA question paper will consist of four sections, namely:
- English Language
- Quantitative Aptitude

- General Knowledge
Candidates will be required to attempt all four sections within the given time duration. GAT exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes or one hour. GAT sections will consist of 100 questions in total. Candidates must device strategy to attempt maximum questions within the given time duration.
No, all the questions in the GAT question paper will be objective-type questions and will be in MCQ format. Candidates will be given four options for each question. Candidates will have to select the correct option for each question. GAT question paper will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be for one mark. There will be a negative marking for any wrong answers. Candidates will have to attempt the 200 questions in 60 minutes. There will be no sectional time limit to attempt the GAT exam sections. GAT 2026 exam will be held multiple times in a year in computer-based mode across 27 cities in India.
As per the GITAM Management Admission Test (GAT) marking scheme, for every correct answer candidate will get one mark. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For every wrong answer 1/3 of the mark will be deducted. There will be no negative marking for not attempted questions. As per the GAT 2026 exam pattern, the question paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), of one mark each. There will be no sectional time limit. Candidates can start answering from any section they are comfortable with. The GAT BBA exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes.

Candidates preparing for GAT exam must ensure to fulfill the below presscribed eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Candidates failing to meet the eligibility criteria will be disqualified.
For BBA
- The minimum educational requirement for candidates is to have completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination for BBA admissions.
- The examination should be recognisedby the relevant educational board or authority in the country.
- The candidate must have successfully passed this examination (GAT) or UGAT to be eligible to apply.
For MBA
- Candidate must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
- Candidate must have completed the UG course in minimum three years duration.
- Students in the final year of graduation are eligible to apply for the programme
GITAM Admission Test (GAT) 2026 registrations will commence in second week of December 2025 at gat.gitam.edu. Candidates interested in admission to BBA or MBA programme of GITAM Deemed to be University, must fill the online application form on or before the last date. The GAT application form can be filled in online mode only when released. GITAM will commence the GAT 2026 registrations online after the release of notification. Candidates must ensure to fulfill the prescribed eligbility criteria before filling the application form. To complete the GAT 2025 registrations candidates must ensure to pay the GITAM application fee of INR 1200. The application fee can be paid in online mode only.
