CBSE 10th exams 2021 are set to begin on May 4. Although students have had extended preparation time due to Covid-19, they are still under pressure and not able to concentrate well. However, they still can study and prepare well for their board exams. Below is a 1-month preparation strategy for Class 10th board exams:
- Set a Time Table for yourself
- Be specific about your study time
- Set Goals for yourself
- Test yourself after every study session
- Solve sample papers and previous year papers as much as possible
Set a Time Table for yourself
A specific subject-wise timetable is very important to keep going. See in which areas you require more time to study. Find your strong areas and weak areas and divide time accordingly. For example:
| Days | Subject |
|---|---|
| 1-3 | English |
| 4-9 | Hindi |
| 10-16 | Maths |
| 17-21 | Science |
| 22-26 | Social Science |
| 26-30 | Revision (One subject per day) |
A student can make their own timetable according to their grasp and interest of subjects. One must strictly follow the CBSE 10th time table to be able to prepare well for the board exams. Following a timetable will not only help you in the board exams but also in every other exam you’ll be giving in your lifetime.

Be specific about your study time
When you set up a specific time during a day just for study, your brain starts getting trained by the routine, and studying actually becomes easier over time. Your brain becomes habitual to taking information and remembering it. You’ll be able to learn things faster and remember them for a long time. Studying for at least 4-5 hours a day is very important to cover the syllabus on time.
Set Goals for yourself
Setting goals for yourself is very important and this method of studying is one of the most effective methods to prepare for any exam. A goal set for each study session acts a challenge that you have to win no matter what. This makes learning more interesting and helps in completing the syllabus on time. Focussing on one chapter/concept a day will help in better understanding as well.
Test yourself after every study session
Remember to always test yourself after every study session. After completing your target of the day, revise everything and then solve a test or do some practice questions. This will help you in analyzing if you are through with a chapter/concept or not. Even if you make mistakes, you will be able to know the gap in your knowledge. You can fill those gaps in order to be fully prepared for the exam. You will be able to find your strong and weak areas through such tests. Practice tests also boost up student’s confidence and lead them towards performing well in the final exams.
Solve sample papers and previous year papers as much as possible
It is very important to solve sample papers and CBSE 10th previous year exam papers during your preparation for the board exam. Such papers give you an idea about the exam pattern and help you study accordingly. While practicing these papers you will find out some points or concepts in which you are lacking. You can focus more on these areas to excel in every concept. Also, there are a high number of chances for a similar question or concept to appear in your paper. So, practice from at least previous 5-10 years exam papers.
