The pressure of performing well in the CBSE 10th board exams is always high and due to the wide spread of Covid-19 infection all across the world, the pressure is much higher this year. After year-long virtual learning, the students are too stressed to keep up with the syllabus. Here are some last-minute subject-wise advice for CBSE class 10th board exams that will help the students to perform well:

  • Know the exam pattern and marking scheme. This will help one to divide the time well
  • Go through the entire Science syllabus before the exam. This will help them to know on which topic they have to put extra efforts
  • Solve NCERT textbook questions once again. NCERT should be followed thoroughly to score well in boards
  • Prepare a complete list of formulae, derivations and experiments. Revise all of them before the exam.
  • The rules attached to science formulas should be revised carefully and used correctly

PHYSICS

  • Many questions in the Physics exam contain direct formulae-based or theorem-based questions. So, it is very important to learn the formulas and the theorems thoroughly in to use them correctly in the paper
  • Practice numerical as much as possible. One can easily obtain marks in them.
  • Practice diagrams thoroughly
  • Solve previous year exam papers and model test paper in order to get an idea of exam pattern and the types of numerical and theory-based questions asked in Physics

CHEMISTRY

  • Chemistry comparatively requires less time for preparation. It is also a high-scoring subject. Balancing chemical equations is very important.
  • Make notes of all chemical reaction and go through them properly
  • Solve previous exam papers as much as possible. They will help in in-depth preparation of Chemistry.

BIOLOGY

  • Diagrams are an important part in Biology exam. One can easily obtain marks in Biology if they know the diagrams well.
  • Prepare the experiments and models thoroughly
  • Make a list of complex terminologies so as not to forget any of them at the last moment.

CBSE 10th Maths Preparation:

  • Make a complete list of chapter-wise formulas and concepts for last-minute revision. Go through their application and usage as well.
  • NCERT is a must for CBSE 10th Board exam. Make sure to have gone through every chapter from the NCERT.
  • If one isn’t able to understand any word problem, read it repeatedly. It will give an idea of what is to be done to get the solution.
  • Go through CBSE 10th sample papers and previous year papers as much as possible. They are very important and chances of getting a same question or same concept in the exam are very high.

CBSE 10th English Preparation:

  • Thoroughly go through the format of note making, letter writing, notice-writing, etc.
  • There are separate marks for the format in writing section
  • Go through sample letters, notices, paragraphs, etc. This will give an idea of writing effective content.
  • Learn thoroughly the rules of grammar and practice more and more
  • Read the literature chapters from within. The chances of getting a question from within are very high.
  • Never exceed the word limit

CBSE 10th Hindi Preparation:

  • Hindi is a very high-scoring subject. NCERT is the main book to refer to in Hindi.
  • Go through the format of everything that is included in the writing section
  • Practice more and more sample papers and previous year exam papers
  • Read the literature chapters from within

CBSE 10th Social Science Preparation:

  • Students often find Social Science boring, but if understood properly it is a very high-scoring subject.
  • Try to understand the chapters from video lectures available online. They may seem more interesting.
  • Prioritize chapters according to the weightage they hold
  • Make notes of important pointers that one is likely to forget
  • One can even make a chart to remember the important dates
  • Practice map work. It is most high-scoring part of the Social Science paper
  • Understanding concepts is better than memorizing them. Always remember
  • Practice previous-year exam papers and sample papers more and more
