No, ICSE or CISCE board does not follow the NCERT books or syllabus. Students from the ICSE board have to follow the books and the curriculum set up by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).

The Council of the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will not release the ICSE answer key Class 10 2026 since the examinations will be held in a subjective format. ICSE Board exam 2026 will be held between February 17 and March 30, 2026.

Students must note that in order to pass ICSE Board Exams, students must score a minimum of 35 per cent in aggregate and per subject to pass. The official websites reads, “STATEMENT OF MARKS will be issued to all students who appeared for the examination. The pass marks for each subject is 35%.”

The ICSE Board has released 10 specimen question papers for ICSE 2026 class 10. These specimen papers are available for download on the official CISCE website. The papers are for English, Mathematics, Science, and other subjects. Students can practice these papers to familiarize themselves with the exam pattern and marking scheme. The specimen papers also help students identify the types of questions that may be asked in the actual exam. By solving these papers, students can improve their problem-solving skills and boost their confidence for the exams. It is recommended that students practice as many specimen papers as possible to achieve good scores.

ICSE exam pattern for Group-III subjects like Physical Education and Fashion Designing has 6-mark questions.

• The questions will be based on practical and theoretical knowledge.
• Students are advised to allocate sufficient time to answer these questions.
• The questions will be from the entire syllabus, and candidates must be familiar with all the topics.
• It is essential to answer all parts of the question to score maximum marks.
• The questions will evaluate the students' understanding, application, and analysis of the subject.

The maximum marks allotted for each subject will be 80, and students will have to write the paper for a maximum of 80 marks. There will be an internal assessment of 20 marks for each subject.
