AIIMS Delhi MD Eligibility & Highlights 2025
AIIMS Delhi offers full-time MD in various specialisations at the PG level. Candidates applying to MD must have completed 12 months of compulsory rotating Internship/ Practical training on or before July 30 of the year of admission.
Eligibility criteria: Candidate must hold MBBS degree of a university recognised by Medical Council of India/ Dental Council of India with 55% aggregate marks in case of General & OBC and 50% aggregate marks in case of SC/ ST category
Selection criteria:
- Admission to MD is based on the scores obtained in INICET
- A total of 123 seats are offered under MD

The answer will be both yes and no. Getting into AIIMS Delhi without NEET is possible if applying for courses such as BSc, MSc, PB BSc Nursing, MD, MS, DM and MCh, among various others, apart from MBBS. Admission to all these courses is either subject to an institute-specific entrance exam or INICET.
However, if the ultimate objective is to crack AIIMS New Delhi for MBBS, a student has to go through the NEET UG entrance exam followed by the counselling process. If the ranking and score obtained in the exam match with the minimum requirement of the institution, the student will get admission here for MBBS, otherwise not.

An average AIIMS professor and HOD salary in India is INR 37.1 Lacs with an experience between 14 years to 25 years. Professor and HOD salary at AIIMS Delhi ranges between INR 4 lakh and INR 48 lakh. The UG and PG students who get hostel at AIIMS Delhi campus are required to submit hostel fee from along with the tuition fee, every semester. For Junior residents, however, the hostel fee is deducted from salary. In addition to this, a hostel security deposit fee of INR 1,000 at the time of joining/ application. Aspirants should know INI CET 2026 pattern, as it gives them an idea of question paper. They get to know about exam and make a strategy accordingly. Exam pattern comprises details such as mode and medium of exam, total number of questions and their types, the exam duration, and the marking scheme.
Yes, AIIMS does offer admission to NRI students. However, there is no seat reserved for them. Seats are available across every course offered at AIIMS Delhi and the requirement for admission across all courses is also similar to that of domestic students applying for the course.
- MBBS: There is no seat reserved for OCI and NRI candidates. Foreign candidates must have atleast 60% aggregate with PCB and English in Class 12 or equivalent.
- MSc: The eligibility criteria for the foreign candidates will be at par with the eligibility criteria for Indian candidates.
- MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM: A combined merit list of the sponsored/ foreign candidates is made. Seats are allotted purely on merit on the basis of performance in the entrance test

AIIMS Delhi INI CET cutoff 2024 for the July session has been released for course admission. As per the cutoff for round two of admission, MD in General Medicine is the most competitive course with a closing rank of 5 for the General AI category students. Since you haven't mentioned your category, we would consider you to belong to the General Category. You should aim for a NEET UG cutoff rank under 50 to get AIIMS New Delhi. Looking at the last three years' cutoff, AIIMS Delhi NEET cutoff 2025 for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) closed at 48, while in 2024, it closed at 47 and 57 in 2023 for the General AI category students.
AIIMS Delhi accepts MD CET scores, followed by INI CET Counselling process for admission to the MD/ MS/ MDS/ DM and MCh courses. As per the AIIMS Delhi cut off 2024 for INI CET January session, the Round 1 and the Round 2 cutoffs have been released so far. Next round is expected to release soon. Basis the INI CET Round 2 cutoff 2024, MD in Radiodiagnosis with a closing rank of 2 was the most competitive course, followed by a cutoff rank of 17 for M.Ch in Neuro Surgery
At times, questions get repeated in the INI CET exam. But candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly so that they can answer every possible question in the exam. As the INI CET is one of the toughest exams, candidates should focus on concepts. At least two revisions are required before the exam date. After finishing the INI CET syllabus, candidates should appear in a mock test and solve previous question papers. Appearing in the mock test and analyzing their performance will boost their confidence.
