It is a very good college with good teachers and hostels.
Placements: Almost 50% are placed. The highest package is 24 LPA. Everywhere, students are placed with good salaries. Very good teachers. Companies offered include Oil India Limited, Hindustan, Numaligarh Refinery Limited, Coal India, Vedanta, and many more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library are very good. Medical facilities are good. Canteens are also available. All types of sports are played. Indoor and outdoor games are played, and intra-hostel games are also played in the hostels.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it prepares the students to be ready for the industry. Semester exams are tough, but the teachers make it easier in every possible way. The pass percentage is almost 100%.

Overall a good college to study
Placements: 70% students were placed. Mainly PSU like NRL, OIL India Ltd, BHEL etc
come for campus placement. Also there are some companies like Tata chemicals, Ashok Leyland, L&T. Student do get internship in many companies from college. Student get maximum package 25 LPA and average package 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Overall facility of class room, lab, library is nice. Wifi facilities are there in every classroom. Canteen facility is also good. There are many sports event occurring in this college. Food availability in canteen is also quite good. Hostel facilities are also quite good in this college.
Faculty: Semester are tough. Teachers are very helpful. Several field trips also occur. Pass percentage is also quite well. I think this course curriculum is relevant in many ways. It teaches us how to work or run a industry etc. Teachers are very knowledgeable.
Other: College fest is amazing. Many type of scholarships are also available. Many extracurricular activities also there.

Good placement for ME/EE/ChE.
Placements: Placement scenario is average. Salary ranging from 1.8 Lacs per annum to 5/6 Lacs per annum can be expected if your average grade is above 65%. If you're from Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical then the highest package every year goes up to 17 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good. Buildings are old as it has crossed more than 60 years. But still it has state of the art quality. The whole campus area is pretty big. Wi-Fi facility is available in both hostel & classrooms. Quality of food in hostel is pretty good compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members are well educated. Teachers are helpful, qualified & knowledgeable. Industry exposure opportunity is given. The course curriculum is updated. Decent student to faculty ratio. Labs are well-equipped but most of the machinaries are old. Classrooms are well-equipped.

AEC is the first undergraduate technical college, having good quality infrastructure and placements.
Placements: The placement scenario of the college is good. Mechanical, civil, electrical, and electronics branch has maximum placements compared to other branches. Approximately 50% of students got placed in the previous batch. Many PSUs, core and IT companies already visited and recruited many students in the past. In the 3rd year, everyone irrespective of their branch gets the opportunity for the industrial as well as institutional training for approximately one and half months. Students also get an overseas internship in the 3rd year. There is a training and placement cell (TPC), which is an integral part of training and placement scenario, prospects and achievements of Assam Engineering College.
Infrastructure: This college has crossed 63 years of its glory. The infrastructure is good and fine. The facilities are great. Wi-Fi, classrooms, library, labs, etc., are quite good and effective. The medical facilities are also good. The labs and classrooms are excellent. There are nine hostels in AEC, out of which seven are for boys, one is for PG students, and one is for girls.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and shared their knowledge. The teaching quality is very good. The teachers shared all the knowledge with the students. The course curriculum is better and very effective. Every year, the students were taken for industrial visits.
Other: Pyrokinesis is the annual cultural festival conducted for 3 days. Udbhavanam is the technical festival which runs parallel to Pyrokinesis. College week is the platform where everyone can prove oneself to their best capacities. From Bihu to Basketball, all competitions were held, and all the hostel and day scholar teams showed their talent.
