Absolutely satisfied by the placement but dissatisfied by the infrastructure and the facilities.
Placements: 1. More than 70% students were placed last year from our department.
2. The highest salary being 17 LPA and the lowest being 4.8 LPA with an average of around 6 LPA.
3. Capgemini, IBM, Wipro, Parking Rhino, Jio etc. offered the jobs.
4. Software Developer was the role offered.
6. Most of the students got internship in reputed companies like Intel, Tesla, Amazon etc.
Infrastructure: 1. All adequate facilities are available in our department. Our main department building is under construction which should be completed anytime between January and February next year.
2. All needed facilities are available for everyone. Hostel life being the best in our campus.
Faculty: 1. The professors are quite good and helpful except some who are impolite and don't understand the students problem.
2. Yes, the course hap been updated by the university recently and I believe we can be industry ready after the completion of the course.
Other: 1. I chose this course as I was always interested in computers.

3. Events take place time to time. The best being the annual tech fest Pyrokinesis which happens in the month of February. There is also a special cell to look after the scholarships.

Faculty members are good but need to be more open. Infrastructure is below average.
Placements: Around 5% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Parking Rhino and Wipro. The top role offered was a Java Developer. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA in our course. Every student got an internship, and the companies were tech variable, IOCL and C-Dac.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is okay. The lab is just below average, and the library has very little option since there was a limited number of books. Games and sports are excellent with a lot of sports activities throughout the year, and the mess food is good enough. Medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but teaching should be more flexible. The course curriculum is relevant, but I do not feel it makes the student's industry-ready. The students should be made more focused on dealing with real-world problems and practically more active.
Other: I opted for computer science engineering since I had an interest in coding. A world has full of opportunities in CS. I wanted the course to be more practical oriented dealing problems with real-world rather than only theory. Events and fest are just awesome.

Other: This is one of the oldest colleges in North-east India with a great reputation. The students are of high calibre as they are chosen via the Combined Entrance Exam. The placement scenario is good as well. The college is situated in a serene environment near to Gauhati University. The CSE dept. has a capacity of 22 students with good overall facilities. The main factor of the college is the brand name and the value for money it provides. Most of its students do well after graduating. Many get into IITs and IIM as well as go on to study abroad. Also, the college provides excellent facilities for self-improvement like annual fests, college week.

Other: Not so good infrastructure, but faculty members are aptly qualified and they deliver their best. Everything is nice in this college but canteen and laboratories needs to be upgraded.
Campus placements are apt and justified. Hostels are great with working 100mbps internet.

Review of Assam Engineering College.
Placements: Approximately 30% of students got placed in our course. Many private firms visit our campus, like Hindustan Unilever, Cummins, Ashok Leyland, etc. IT companies such as IBM, TCS, and Wipro visit our college to hire students.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms are well-maintained. It also provides a library, and several books are available. A Wi-Fi facility is available. Hostel facilities are good. Our campus is also huge. For the first two years, shared rooms are provided, but for the next two years, everyone gets a single room. A PG facility is available, and students can easily find a PG around the campus. The rent is approximately between Rs 6,500 and Rs 8,000. The food served in the canteen is better. Sports facilities are also good.
Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. They also conduct extra classes for better understanding. The teaching quality is perfect.

You will never regret taking admission here.
Placements: There are approximately 60 percent of students who get placements in my course. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the lowest one is 10 LPA. Wipro and Reliance recruit from campus. 100 percent of students got internships, but I'm not sure about the companies. Web developer is the top role provided till today, I guess.
Infrastructure: College Wi-Fi is available. Labs are well developed, but some lab equipment is old. Most classrooms have AC and a good environment. All the needed books are available in the library, but they are limited, so not everyone can get them. Hostels are well-architected with Wi-Fi facilities. Mess food is good in most hostels. Sports equipment is also provided by the superintendent. There are at least 2 playgrounds in every hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. There are clubs that prepare us for upcoming challenges. Exams' difficulty is moderate. The pass percentage is approximately 80 percent or above.
Other: I want a secure job, so I took admission in this course. The best thing about the course is the percentage of placements. They should increase the number of faculty members. Too many events like Pyrokinesis, and Spondone are held. There are too many sponsorships coming to our campus, e.g., Red Bull, HOK, etc.
