B.E. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2029
    3.2
    3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
It has an average infrastructure with a decent placement scenario.
Placements: Students from core branches are usually the ones with better on-campus placement scenarios. In this college, PSU companies hire students in top roles such as management, executive engineers, software developers, and various other core-related roles.
Infrastructure: Basic facilities such as Wi-Fi, old labs, and properly lit classrooms are available. There is no proper and highly functional library. The new library is under construction. Sports facilities are poor as of now, but new facilities such as an indoor badminton stadium are to be opened soon. Big playgrounds for football are available. A proper canteen is available. There are fair enough hostel rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. It is easy to interact with young assistant professors. Senior professors are somewhat polite but may be found to be insolent sometimes. Overall, teachers are fine. The current curriculum they follow is NEP 2020, which makes it easier for students to study from an internet platform. Semester exams are moderate, and students have an average pass percentage.
Other: I chose this course (EE) because it has a very vast scope and a good placement scenario too. My keen interest in electrical engineering has made me choose it. Events are regularly conducted on the campus by various groups. Clubs are actively participating in events.

    3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Average hostel life and below-average mess food in 1st year hostels.
Placements: Mostly PSUs and core companies visit for placements of electrical students. Recruiting companies are Vedanta, BELL, ONGC, and BPL are some core companies. Most of the hiring is from Vedanta for EE and mechanical students. Some IT companies include Wipro, Infosys, and start-ups.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure 1st year hostels is good but hostel 7's infrastructure is not impressive. It's an old-fashioned building but compared to the hostel, the mess staff and warden in hostel 7 are ahead and you have a pretty chill environment in 1st year. You've only 1 girls' hostel which is near the main building.
Faculty: Semester exams are relatively easy in 1st year if you have a strong basis of class 11 and class 12 and also the JEE parts which are not in the NCERT. In 1st year, you got chill professors (not all, though but most of them are chill), especially the Maths department.

You will never regret taking admission here.
Placements: There are approximately 60 percent of students who get placements in my course. The highest package is 25 LPA, and the lowest one is 10 LPA. Wipro and Reliance recruit from campus. 100 percent of students got internships, but I'm not sure about the companies. Web developer is the top role provided till today, I guess.
Infrastructure: College Wi-Fi is available. Labs are well developed, but some lab equipment is old. Most classrooms have AC and a good environment. All the needed books are available in the library, but they are limited, so not everyone can get them. Hostels are well-architected with Wi-Fi facilities. Mess food is good in most hostels. Sports equipment is also provided by the superintendent. There are at least 2 playgrounds in every hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. There are clubs that prepare us for upcoming challenges. Exams' difficulty is moderate. The pass percentage is approximately 80 percent or above.
Other: I want a secure job, so I took admission in this course. The best thing about the course is the percentage of placements. They should increase the number of faculty members. Too many events like Pyrokinesis, and Spondone are held. There are too many sponsorships coming to our campus, e.g., Red Bull, HOK, etc.

I'm satisfied with my college. Faculty members are good, and the infrastructure is good.
Placements: Our batch has not been allotted any placements till now but our passout batch has almost 80 percent placement. The highest package is 24 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average is 6.5LPA. Our top recruiting company is Numaligarh Refinery Limited. Almost everyone gets an internship in the companies that they choose like IOCL, NRL, and APL. The roles mostly offered are technical-based.
Infrastructure: Labs are high-tech with every machine you need. Classrooms are good. The library is good too and you can get every book you need. Hostels are well-maintained with all the necessities like water filters, Wi-Fi, etc. The food is good too. The food in our canteen is awesome too. For sports we have more than available fields. For cricket and football we have a field. We have an indoor stadium for all the indoor games.
Faculty: Our teachers are very good and very interactive. They always help us throughout our course with the laboratory practices and make the students industry-ready. The semester exams are mediocre in my opinion. If you study all the materials provided by the teachers, you'll pass the exam easily. The pass percentage is almost 85 percent I would say.
Other: I always wanted to become a chemical engineer because I liked chemistry, and my brother was also in this line so he was my inspiration. Our college has an annual cultural fest called Pyrokinesis, which is one of the biggest college fests in NE India. The event is held for 4 days with famous artists and a DJ. We wait the entire year for these 4 days.

I am very satisfied with my college. Its teachers are very good and supportive.
Placements: Mostly, students are placed in my course. The average package is 6 LPA, with a max of 24 LPA and a min of 4 LPA. Overall, the placement environment is good. Only focus students need to do is focus on their skills and improve them, and also a good CGPA is very important in placement. Companies like PSU, IOCL, NRL, L&T.
Infrastructure: We have almost all the facilities in our college, including GYM, Library, Computer Lab, Machines Lab, Embedded Systems Lab, and all other department labs. We also have a park and a canteen. Recently in 2026, our canteen has been under FATBELLY, due to which the food quality is very good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and supportive, and the course curriculum is relevant, and with the NEP it has become much better, with the new subjects and all other additions. Semester exams are comparatively easy compared to other colleges under ASTU. Since almost all the papers are set by AEC, solving PYQs and teacher notes is everything it needs.

Good placements in the upcoming years.
Placements: In civil engineering, minimum placement percentage is 30 to 40%. The highest package is around 8-10 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Oil, etc. Internship percentage is 40-50%. Average package offered for a civil engineer is 5-6 LPA. The lowest package is around 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is neither good nor bad compared to other colleges. It is average. Since it is the first engineering college of the North-east, the infrastructure should be top-notch. Labs are available, and the lab teachers are very experienced.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. They give us quality education. They also provide the relevant notes, clearing every single doubt. In this course, we not only gain theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge. There are lab classes for maximum subjects. If we follow the class notes and notes provided by respected teachers, then we can easily pass the exam.
Other: There are lots of clubs like music, quiz, drama, sports, etc. For extracurricular activities, there is also an annual fest called Pyrokinesis. Various government and private scholarships are also provided for the students.
