The importance of vocational courses is increasing day by day.

Placements: The importance of vocational courses is increasing day by day. The computer-related course in this subject can bring students a lucrative job offer. HSC pass with 50% marks from recognised universities is required for admission. Students have to show their examination standards for admission.

Infrastructure: Campus contributes large importance to the college history.

Faculty: The faculty to student ratio on the campus is very reasonable so that every student gets attention from them.

Other: The college has no scholarship in particular, but the students can avail themselves of all the facilities of government scholarship for being a part of the government college. Students get an Aikyashree scholarship if they score 50% marks in their previous examination. Cultural events organised here always bring joy to the students.

Review of Asutosh College.

Placements: Our course does not ensure placements from the college campus, but most of them get placed after further studies. No internship opportunities are provided by the college in our course. I wish they had some internships available, but unfortunately, it isn't there.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in the college for students, and every department has its own Wi-Fi. I wish the classrooms were spacious and the laboratories too. They are maintained properly but they should look forward to expanding them in the future. The canteen is available and the food served is decent.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified. Recently, 4 new teachers got recruited, and they are very helpful. Teaching quality is also decent. Environmental science is a field that needs to be explored. Such interesting things are there in this course which one cannot discover until and unless they sign up for it. Semester exams are also decent, and the pass percentage is 99%.

Other: I chose this course because I have always been keen to learn about nature and the environment. I'm planning to do further studies on it after my bachelor's. I wish the department was well organised in terms of the classroom and laboratories infrastructure. Co-curricular activities are a regular thing in college and even fests are held every year.

Best for Environmental Science.

Placements: No proper initiative is taken by my college to give students placement. The job fair arrangements and career counselling are provided sometimes, but there are no direct placement opportunities. Many students got placed utilizing their own ability, there is no such contribution from our college.

Infrastructure: Good infrastructure in my college. All essential facilities like labs, library, Wi-Fi, common rooms, and canteen are there. Also, students can stay at hostels with proper arrangements. My college encourages sports, and there are very comfortable infrastructures for studies and extracurricular activities.

Faculty: Especially in my department, Environmental Science, teachers are very supportive and friendly. They have created a comfortable environment for learning and progressing. Our faculty members are experts in their field. Their way of teaching is outstanding and can make anyone passionate about this subject. For studies and extracurricular activities.

Other: I chose this college because Asutosh College is the best college for the Environmental Science B.Sc. course. Environmental Science gives me a whole new world of realization about my existence on this planet. I am becoming a new person with a new perspective on our environment. This is the best thing I have ever had.

Mediocre but well maintained college.

Placements: This college does not provide placements as such. Though some company comes every year, I haven't seen or heard anyone getting any placement anywhere. So it can be said that it gives 0% placement. It just provides basic graduation courses. But not any assurance of placements.

Infrastructure: Well, I must say the infrastructure is quite good. I am saying "quite good" because the infrastructure is fragmented. The college is fragmented in 5 buildings. The main building, as the name, suggests it is the main building of the college, the annexe, a playground of the college some 10kms away, a centenary building and another campus situated about 25 km away from the main building.

Faculty: I cannot say much about the faculty in other departments, but the faculty in our was just a bunch of unprofessional idiots. They have gained their PhD but didn't gain the knowledge of how to teach a subject, they are very irregular and irresponsible.

Other: The students union is the worst. They do Dadagiri in college and influences students to join them and follow this path of worshipping the Bengal CM.

Candidates who has passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination is eligible to apply provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of recognized regular Course of Study after passing the previous qualifying examination. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education /Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. Candidate must have aggregate 50%, and passed in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology However, Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST or OBC Community must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate.
