One of the best colleges in Kolkata.

Placements: 50% students were offered placements after the campus recruitment drive by TCS and Infosys. The average package offered 3 Lacs/annum by TCS, Cognizant, Infosys. 20-30% got into data analysis and machine learning internships. The top roles offered in CS are software engineer, software developer, data analyst, coder.

Infrastructure: The library is well-equipped and has multiple copies of books for the convenience of the students. There's no hostel but one can find lodging facilities easily around the campus. There's a canteen which offer snacks, tea, food and the quality is okay. It's not top notch but it's hygienic and safe.

Faculty: The teachers are super helpful and knowledgeable. This course is one of the top most right now with AI being the advancement we are looking forward to. The exam are moderately difficult but one can easily crack them. The pass percentage is 30% and one gets to even apply for the supplementary exam if scored lesser than that.

Other: This is the oldest women's college in Asia and having said that it is a prestigious one in the city of joy. There's discipline and the best thing about this course in particular is the faculty who helps you in every step.

Faculty members and infrastructure are excellent.

Placements: I am Laboni das from Bethune College. I studied bachelor of science in computer science, and I passed out in 2013. Later I pursued a master degree in computer science and passed out in 2015. There were no placements conducted during my tenure. Most of our batchmates opted for higher studies or doing a private job.

Infrastructure: Bethune College is a heritage college established in British period. So the infrastructure of the college is very good. Laboratory of the college is up to date and have all the instruments. The library facility is brilliant, and one can find various writers' book on any topic.

Faculty: Teachers of Bethune College are good. They are highly qualified and very helpful. They taught us with great affection. They enriched us not only with bookish knowledge but also enlightened us with moral values and principles. We got some of the best mentors.

Other: The computer has become the most important part of human civilisation. So getting a scope to learn more about this subject will give me a huge exposure to contribute to humanity. I would suggest our college authorities arrange more workshop and involve students more on practice projects. Bethune has been highly motivating in extracurricular activities, events, fest etc. Students used to take responsibilities in organising these events.

Satisfied with the education and facilities provided in the college. The infrastructure is bad.

Placements: The college arranges campus drives. The students who sat for interviews might have got placed with their skills. As I remember, TCS was supposed to come for campusing. I didn't sit for any interview because I wanted to go for higher studies. A pre-placement cell prepares the students for placements, in the final year. The training is provided by some other faculty, which helped in grooming the students. They even taught us the basic things like how to sit and behave in an interview, and all other necessary etiquettes required to qualify an interview.

Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are in good condition. Sports and games department is quite active. Badminton tournament and sports day are conducted. Quality of food provided in the canteen is good, though not a variety of food items were available. Hostel facility is not available within the college premises, but PGs are available near the college. There was only one big issue, that is, the toilets were very dirty and unhygienic. We faced a lot of problems with washrooms during our 3 years of studies.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. They try to make the students understand their best level of teaching. They are quite helpful and knowledgeable. The syllabus was completed within the specified time. Whiteboard and projectors were used for teaching. The course curriculum was very useful. The teachers were available even after the college timings. If students face any problem, they can approach the faculty members at any time to get help.

Other: Fests were arranged every year, the students of Scottish Church College also took part in the fest. The campus atmosphere is very good and pleasant with lots of trees. The scholarships are provided to the students. Different games, gym, badminton, carrom, etc., are available.

I am satisfied because of good faculty members and the environment on campus.

Placements: Placements are held on campus and are fine. But generally, since it is a graduation course, most students opt for masters after completion of the course. For students who are interested in placements, the college starts offering them opportunities in the third year. Salary packages offered were also good enough.

Infrastructure: Classrooms on the campus are small but they are comfortable and good. We have well-established labs with all facilities needed and sufficient computers. Our library consists of over 1 lacs books. Food served in the canteen is at a low rate and is hygienic There is no hostel in the college.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are better than I have ever expected. They work hard to give us their best. Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable and are great teachers. They always clear our doubts on and outside the campus. In our department, student to faculty ratio is not more than 1:10.

Other: Our fest is popular throughout Kolkata and is known as Aalap. The campus is clean and beautiful.
