Placements: Placements begin in the 5th semester, and students must have no arrears and maintain a CGPA above 75% to be eligible. The selection process involves multiple levels. Internship opportunities are provided in the 5th semester as assignments, which students are required to complete. In the final year, students are assigned a project to present.

Infrastructure: Several festivals are celebrated in the college, such as Teachers' Day, Freshers' Party, and Annual Sports Day. Classrooms are equipped with modern technology, including projectors and surveillance cameras. The campus also hosts various clubs, such as the Art, Love, and Photography Club, which offer opportunities for student engagement. Overall, the college provides a commendable environment.

Faculty: The college conducts two semesters annually, with four mid-term exams. Each faculty member prepares their own papers for internal exams, which are out of 100 marks. For science students, labs are well-equipped, and the campus is large.

Placements: Almost everyone in the batch gets placement if they want. Many highly reputed companies in the international market come to recruit cadets, such as Chevron, Shell, Nikam, Eagle Star, Fleet Management, Anglo Eastern, Synergy, Torm Tankers, Dyna Gas, etc. Approximately 240 out of 260 students get campus placements. Cadets from the 4th semester are eligible for placements, and lady cadets can sit for placements starting from the 2nd semester.

Infrastructure: College fests are a must for college life, and one will experience many such events throughout their college years. However, there are no fixed festivals, excluding Freshers and Farewell. The college is equipped with a large library, a great place for bookworms like me! The general classrooms do not have any technical advancements, but some classrooms are equipped with smart boards, computers, etc. The college encourages all kinds of sports, like football and cricket. Groups in the college include a student union, with juniors and seniors as members.

Faculty: The faculty-student ratio in my section is 1:36. All the faculty members are highly qualified in their fields and will help you whenever you have doubts. Special mentions include C. Sarkar, Bhattacharya, BK Roy, and B. Roy (Maths); you will fall in love with their teaching methods, as they make the subjects crystal clear. Some faculty members know the subject well but cannot convey it effectively, so you may need to seek help from seniors or YouTube. There are semester-end examinations worth 70 marks, and you have to score 35+ to pass the exam, but it is not that easy to achieve; you need to prepare well, or you may fail. Additionally, there are 2 internals, each containing 10 marks, which are at the discretion of the faculty members. You need to stay updated with the syllabus coverage to score well in the internal examinations.

Review of Bidhannagar College.

Placements: The real picture is not the same. The placement cell is present in the college, but it is quite inactive. Very few companies visited the campus. Some of those are Genpact, RBS, Oberoi, etc. Just 30-40% of students get placed. The rest of them sit in the central placements of the university. The average package offered ranges from 1.8 -2 LPA.

Infrastructure: I think there is no hostel facility. But they are trying to provide it. I think the hostel facility will be available very soon. The hostel facility will help students who are from another city or district.

Faculty: There are six faculty members and one lab attendant in my department. Out of which, two are associate professors and four are assistant professors. The faculty-to-student ratio is 11:3. The qualification of the faculty members is that four of them have completed their B.Sc, M.Sc, B.Ed, and PhD degrees in their subjects. Surprise tests are also conducted before the final semester examinations. All the odd semester exams (1st and 3rd) and even semester exams (2nd and 4th) are held timely throughout the year. It is difficult to pass as the syllabus is lengthy and hard.

Other: I chose this course because I want to study and deeply learn all the concepts of Zoology at a postgraduate level. I also aimed that after my post-graduation, my participation in undergoing various training programmes, jobs, internship opportunities, and ventures would open doors for me.

Placements: The college ensures placement training from the 3rd year onwards and has collaborated with a leading training organization to provide training for the students. Many internships are available, allowing students to select one of their choice, with stipends offered for some internships.

Infrastructure: There are several festivals celebrated at our college, such as Teachers' Day, Freshers' Party, and Annual Sports Day. The classrooms are equipped with cutting-edge technology, with projectors in each room and surveillance cameras always on duty. There are several clubs, including an art and photography club, in which I take part. Overall, this college is really good.

Faculty: The college has many experienced faculty members who support students in every step. They encourage students to pursue different interests in various aspects. The faculty-to-student relationship is strong in our college. There are a total of two exams per semester: a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam.

Placements: Students are engaged in the placement process throughout the 2-year program. Although many companies visit, the details are kept confidential by the faculty and placement team. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, while the lowest was around 2 LPA. The college boasts a 100% placement rate, and I started working right after completing my degree.

Infrastructure: Several festivals are celebrated on campus, including Teachers' Day, Freshers' Party, and Annual Sports Day. The classrooms are equipped with advanced technology, each having its projector, and surveillance cameras are always operational. The college also has several clubs like the Art Club and Photography Club, which I actively participate in. Overall, the infrastructure and environment of the college are really good.

Faculty: The faculty-to-student ratio is about 11:300. I particularly enjoyed Verma Sir's classes, as he has a very interactive and lively teaching style. All faculty members are experienced professionals with deep knowledge in their respective fields. The course is divided into 4 semesters, with 8 subjects each term. Exams are based on practical knowledge and are of moderate difficulty.
