The Admission process and eligibility criteria at Kalinga University is based on the merit list of students.

The student who has passed his/her  graduation B.Sc with minimum of 40% marks is eligible and just he or she has to give an entrance exam of Kalinga University named KALSEE ( Kalinga Scholastic entrance exam). It is a CBT which is compulsory for all students to who wants to take admission in the university. It is a 90 minute duration with 90 MCQs test which has no negative markings. The Kalinga Scholastic Entrance Examination (KALSEE) has multi-step process for admission to the UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programme. KALSEE admission process is as follows:

Step 1: KALSEE application form

As the first step, candidates need to fill out the KALSEE application form 2024 on the official website of the exam. And the pay the KALSEE application fee.

Step 2: KALSEE slot booking

All the registered candidates will be able to select the date, time and test centre based on the availability of seats on the official website of the exam. However, the allotment of the selected test centre cannot be assured as the test slots are scheduled on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Step 3: Download KALSEE Admit Card

KALSEE admit card is issued to all candidates who successfully schedule their test slots. Candidates can download the KALSEE admit card by logging into their email accounts.

Step 4: Take the KALSEE exam

Thereafter, candidates need to take the KALSEE entrance exam in online mode as per the allotted date, time and test centre. Step 5: Check KALSEE result

Kalinga University will announce KALSEE 2024 results for all courses. Candidates clearing the KALSEE entrance exam will then be allotted seats in the courses in which they had applied on the basis of merit.

Kalinga University offers decent placements for its UG, PG, and Diploma programme. As per the report, 475 UG and 426 PG students were placed during Kalinga University placements 2022. The median package offered to UG students ranged between INR 2.5 LPA and INR 4.2 LPA,  respectively. For PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 2.55 LPA and INR 4.5 LPA, respectively.

Minimum eligibility criteria for UG & PG Courses: For admissions to UG programmes at KU, students must have passed Class 12 and should have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate  (40% for SC/ST). Aspirants will be considered for PG programmes at KU if they have completed their graduation (graduation with three-year duration) with a minimum of 45% aggregate. 

Students belonging to SC and ST category will need a minimum of 40% for admissions. Students aiming for admissions to integrated programmes should have passed Class 12.
