It has the best teachers as compared to other colleges. I am dissatisfied with placements in 2015.
Placements: During our time, very fewer students got placed, especially in the electrical and electronics branch. Some top IT companies visited here like Wipro, Infosys, Triveni Turbine, etc. Top roles offered to the students were software developer, design engineer, java programmer, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure with a lot of development as compared to our course period. Classrooms are somewhat old but comfortable. Labs have all the facilities, particularly in the electrical department and chemistry labs. The hostel is beside the college, and it is very good. Rooms are broad and clean. The main positive thing about our college is the library, and they have a digital library, which is well-maintained.
Faculty: Teachers in this college are tremendous, well-educated and experienced. They are technically good, and their teaching quality is also good. Every department has good teachers. None of the engineering colleges in India makes students ready for industry.
Other: During our time, electrical engineering has a very good scope, so I have chosen it. The college campus should be improved.

I am satisfied because of faculty members as they make us achieve anything.
Placements: About 60% of the students from our department got placed, while other departments also achieved more than 60% placements. The highest average salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. Infosys, Jindal, Kirloskar, Tata, etc., are the top recruiters for our course. Assistant engineer, electrician guide and manager are the top roles offered in our course. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Almost 100% of the students got internships, but not in the same company.
Infrastructure: Our college has huge classrooms with good ventilation and lighting. The library is available with lots of books, and there is an open hall to study. Labs are good. I am not a hosteller, but my friend stays in it. According to him, the hostel is good, and I ate food in it, which is also nice. You can play sports and games at any time by bunking classes.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very talented and qualified. The HOD of our department is very adorable. EEE course is relevant for the industry. It makes us ready for a job. VTU is the worst as it trying to earn money from students by failing them and also in the form of revaluation.
Other: I am a lateral entry student, i.e., diploma holder. It is mandatory to do the course, which is the same as a diploma. But I have chosen this course because it has huge options to choose in a career like government jobs as well as private jobs. We should get better communication with the faculty members, and they should give the preference for practical knowledge. Our college organises events like freshers party and send-off parties grandly. Scholarships are available from the state government.

Placements in our college are good, and it depends on the students CGPA.
Placements: In our college, students who scored above 6.5 CGPA get selected for placements. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The college offered an internship for students. They also conducted an industrial visit for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the library and classrooms are good. The hostel is too good. Facilities available in our hostel are a mess, rooms, electricity, and drinking water. Sports facilities are also good. Food served in the hostel is good. The library building is large, and all books are available for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified. Teaching quality is superb. They all are postgraduates and PhD holders. Teachers are easily available on the campus.
Other: All events and fests are organised at our college.

The college is very strict towards placement and it gives placement training also.
Placements: 1)20% got placed last year. 2) the highest package was 4.2LPA the lowest was 1.2LPA. Average was 3.64lpa 3) Conflux Technology, Kirloskar, Sankalpa, Haftysoft visited the campus. We get pool campus placement for Infosys, Wipro, Cadence system design, IBM, cognizant technology, TCS were some of the recruiters. 4) Assistant engineer in KPTCL. Junior engineer in KPTCL. Project Engineer in Infosys TCS Wipro etc.13% in hydropower project in Ambikanaga. 5% got internship in NTPC.
Infrastructure: The classroom are very comfortable with proper sunlight and ventilation system, it's a new building. The lab is a bit old but very useful. Wi-Fi is not available for students. A digital library and computers with internet connection is available. Hostel food is just like home food. Hostel for boys and girls are at a distance of 1km. Both the hostels are newly constructed and are very appreciable. Sports and games are very much promoted in our college, even many have played at the national level. Medical facilities are not provided by college, but BLDEA'S association has a medical college, it is very near to engineering college and hostel.
Faculty: Most of the teaching staff have done Ph.D. Teachers help for the mini project and major project works. Anytime available for clearing the doubts, even on WhatsApp and Instagram. The teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and passionated to the work. Electrical engineering is very much interesting and it will make you industry ready if you're interested and updated with the technology.
Other: I loved Kirchhoff's law and ohm's law during my +2 days. After admitting to electrical I realised it's not only about ohm's law and Kirchhoff's law but also many complex things. Believe me this course is very difficult.

The infrastructure and faculty of the college is good, the only bad point is low placements.
Placements: Placement in the college is not well. Number of companies visiting college for placements are very few and most them are for CS IS &EC. EEE placement is very low- it's around 5 in class strength of 70. Mind tree, HCL are few of the companies visiting the college. There is placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. There is well developed digital library and Wi-Fi is available in the campus and library. Labs are well-equipped and well maintained. Each classrooms are equipped with projectors for the digital classes. Hostel rooms are good. Canteen food quality is very good.
Faculty: The faculty available is very good and friendly with students. And they are well qualified. Teaching quality is good. For the better understanding digital classes were taken. Student to faculty ratio is 20:1. There will industrial visits during the final year and substation visits during each semester.
Other: Every year many events and fest are organised in the college.

Q:   Is there enough demand for BTech graduates in the job market?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

If we look at the market demand, no doubt there is huge demand for BTech (Full Form: Bachelor of Technology) graduates among top recruiters who are constantly looking for skilled and knowledgeable students with fresh ideas to enhance their business growth and profitability.

Having said that, a few previous-year employment reports published by the Business Standard and Times of India suggest that students found it a struggle to land a high-paying job after completing BTech because of a lack of industry-specific skills and knowledge and cut-throat competition between Lacs of engineering students hunting for a job.

Hence, it is very important for students to focus on enhancing their skill set according to industrial demands and technological advancements, stay updated regarding all industry trends, build good networks and, most importantly, take up internships to gain experience and stand out in front of the employer.

ShikshaGPT says
A:

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus gives importance to both theory-based knowledge and practical training. You need to study the core subjects that are compulsory as they provide a strong base for the field, opt for interesting electives to explore new concepts, and attend laboratory classes and intriguing workshops to get hands-on training regarding the mechanical design aspects. So, you will get a mix of both aspects with a strong inclination towards practical application to prepare you for a fulfilling career journey ahead.
