Review of Chaitanya Engineering College.

Placements: The placements are provided only in CSE and ECE. There are very few opportunities for EEE students. Civil and mechanical students have no placements. No students were placed in the civil course. No companies come for civil engineering. None of the students got internships in civil engineering.

Infrastructure: The food is very bad. Bathrooms and washrooms are in very bad condition. Cleanliness is not good. The staff members clean the hostel once a week. The kitchen is very bad. Food items are repeated, and items are very bad. Wi-Fi connection is not available. The lab equipment doesn't work well.

Faculty: The faculty members are good, but they are less in number. There is only 1 faculty for 2 subjects. The teachers are helpful, and some teachers are technically qualified. The teaching quality is 3 out of 5. The course does not make the students industry-ready. 50% is the pass percentage.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members and also placements.

Placements: None of the companies or very few companies visited our college for placements. Even if any company visits here, it offers a very low salary package as it is a tier-3 college. So, I suggest you don't expect a good salary package from here. If you take admission in this college, you have to opt for off-campus placements or accept the placements here with very low salary packages.

Infrastructure: For sports, there is a ground, but the equipment will not be provided. This college has a decent infrastructure. Wi-Fi facility is available, but it does not have good speed. Buildings are not very good, and they need to be renovated. Our college does not provide proper benches, and the blackboards are not much good. Our college does not have air-conditioning facilities.

Faculty: The teachers here are not helpful, and their teaching quality is not much good. They are not well-educated. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. Some teachers are very great, but some are very degraded as they don't conduct lectures throughout the semester and do not complete the syllabus.

Our college is good, but it should improve the faculty members.

Placements: Our college does not provide placements in the civil department. The civil engineering department plays a key role in our college. Our college does not provide an internship, but our college students are very smart and innovative. Some small companies visit our college to hire students for a site supervisor role.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is beautiful. Our college atmosphere is good. There is greenery in our college. Labs facility is also good. Our college provides hostel facility for both girls and boys. Medical facilities are not available here.

Faculty: There are a few faculty members in our department. Faculty members are always helpful. M. Tech is the minimum qualification of our faculty. Faculty members have good technical and non-technical knowledge. Their teaching quality is average.

Other: I have chosen this course because I have some knowledge in the civil engineering department and I like construction. I wish the college should conduct many technical programs and workshops. Every event is conducted at our college. Scholarships are available here. College fest is also conducted here.

Our college provides good placements and faculty members.

Placements: In the previous year, no placements were offered to students. But in the year 2020, the management has changed, and placements are also coming to our course. I am satisfied in the year 2020. Around 40% of the students get placed from college, and different companies are visiting the campus. Our course plays a key role for placement.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college can never be compared to other colleges. It is very good and beautiful. Our course labs are very good when compared with other colleges. All the equipment is very good. The hostel and food served are also very good at an affordable price. We also have good sports ground.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are good and are qualified with M.Tech and experienced teachers. The teaching quality is very good and helpful for students. They are very friendly with the students and helpful. They are supportive of students and make them industry-ready.

Other: Good events and fests are held. The crowd and surroundings are good. Scholarships are also provided to maximum students.

One of the best colleges in Visakhapatnam.

Placements: We got a few placements. The selected candidates were offered placements. Good companies came to recruit the students from this college. The students are recruited by looking at all the abilities of the candidates. Overall, it is a good college for placements. I would recommend this college for better placements.

Infrastructure: We have very well-equipped laboratories. Mainly, the civil labs are very well-equipped. Sports and cultural activities are held frequently. We have plenty of volumes in the library. Recently, a new hostel for boys is built. Facilities were too good in this college.

Faculty: The faculty in this college were very friendly, and they were always helpful in teaching the topics in an understandable manner. The teachers were also masters in their respective courses. The curriculum is highly useful for knowing the topics covered under the particular semester. We get good industry exposure. The faculty are available for every subject.

Other: Events are held frequently. Celebrities are invited to events. The college has good connectivity. The scholarship is provided every year. The campus surroundings have a lot of greenery.

It is not a better choice for merit students.

Placements: Very few placements are held in the campus. Moreover, nowadays, there is no good situation for core branches. Very few placements were held in last 5 years. The people who got selected in campus also not interested to go for that job. It's not a good choice for right one.

Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure like buildings and college is fully surrounded by trees. The one who likes greenery would love this college. Peaceful atmosphere, also consisting individual buildings for each branch. The good useful ground facility is provided for sportspersons.

Faculty: The best part of our college is faculty. The well-experienced faculty with more than 20 years of experience. Senior most experience person was the head of the department. Faculty-wise, the college is a good choice. Except for some rare courses like IT, remaining all courses were there in college.

Other: Wi-Fi facility was available in the college. The campus surroundings were covered with beautiful trees. Every year, there are many cultural and technical fests conducted in the college.

Dissatisfied of the college because of not exposing to the industrial exposure.

Placements: As per our branch is concerned civil there are no placements. None of the companies has visited our campus. There is a placement cell in our college. They didn't find any placements for our branch civil. The college didn't offer any internship for the students.

Infrastructure: The labs are not up to the mark. There are very limited books available for students in the library. The quality of the food available in the canteen is bad. The roads leading to college are very poor especially in rainy season very poor. We face problems in labs due to non- availability of the equipment. The lab technicians also don't know about the experiments.

Faculty: As per our branch is concerned, the faculty members are not even completed M.Tech. They just completed B.Tech and started teaching us. The teaching quality is not up to the mark. They don't even complete full syllabus in time. We didn't get any industry exposure in this college.

Other: Technical events and fests are conducted in every two years. The connectivity for the college is good. The eligible students can get the scholarship. The campus surroundings are full of greenery.

Quality of education have to be changed.

Placements: No placements were held for our department compared to others (CSE, ECE). Local 1 or 2 companies will visit the campus and act more and finally selects 1 or 2 candidates. Selected candidates will not get any call letter from the companies till six months or an year. The college management will be collecting Rs. 10,000 from each student for placement assistance and class room training classes. These classes will be held in one week for four years of engineering. At least, 5% of the students are not placed in our batch and our senior batch.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is available. Labs don't have any adequate equipment. If they do not work, the experiments are done in batch wise, and each batch has 30 members. The lab technicians only operate the equipment as they have very few instruments. Classrooms are not good with poor infrastructure, and they are not digitalised. The library has very few books, and only 20% students get the books. Sports and games will be held during the fests only. Canteen has very low-quality food and has high prices than MRP. During inspections, only food quality will be good. Hostel facilities are available at high prices, and can't be afforded by poor students. Rooms have ventilation problems. Infrastructure is disgusting. During heavy rains, the roofs and slabs get shrinkage and occur water seepage problem. College fee payment details are not well computerized. For any stamp printing on the bus pass, students have to get no fee balance receipt, and then only, the students get the stamps printed.

Faculty: There are no senior faculty members in the college. All the junior faculty members with are B.Tech qualification only. Due to the college negligence, the faculty salaries are not paid in time, and due to this, the faculty members left the college. Teaching quality was very poor due lack of experience of the faculty. New teaching methods are used like digital classes, and innovative methods are not there. The student-faculty ratio is 30:1. No industrial tours or training conducted, and no guest lectures and no site exposures are conducted. Due to this, I had to experience the lack of quality of education. As a result, it was very difficult to get a job.

Other: College education quality has to be changed. Scientific expo has to be held. Student care-taking activities should be held.
