It provides good placements and knowledgeable faculty. The infrastructure is quite not good.
Placements: Most of the students got placed but not in the core department. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. L&T is one of the top recruiting companies that visit our college for placements. Mostly, every student gets an internship here. Due to the pandemic, we have done our internship in the companies that we prefer.
Infrastructure: Some buildings in the college are good in infrastructure, but it has some old buildings. Especially, the hostel has very old buildings, and the infrastructure might not be at the expected. If you prefer a college with infrastructure, then I will not prefer it.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are PhD holders and well-experienced. They will teach good and clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. If we learn well, it is easy to pass with a pass percentage of 13% in internals and 35% in the semester.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course is good for a career to be an enterpriser.

Good placements in 2019, Best college in Coimbatore, The facilities are admirable.
Placements: Almost 40% of the students from civil engineering got placement in the year of 2019. The highest Salary was offered by Saint Gobain (7.5lpa), the lowest salary is 1-2 LPA from some local construction companies and the average salary was nearly 2-3 LPA. The top construction companies like Tata projects, shapoorji pallanoji, Larsen and tubro, Saint Gobain visited in the year 2019.
Infrastructure: A large amount of facilities are available here, the department of civil engineering have its own computer labs, high end machineries, own library, and smart classes.
The first and second year hostels are little bit nasty but third and final year hostels are too good (note:This is men's hostel)
The quality of the food is good but lack of varieties because food cost is too low here.
The sports of CIT is very famous in all around Coimbatore city. They offers lots of sports goods and encourage talents.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well qualified. Most professors have doctorate degrees, they are friendly and knowledgeable.
This course is curriculum relevant, it makes the students industry ready. A lot of alumnus from CIT are now leading their international industries and companies.
Other: The field of civil engineering have life until the world dies and a lot of job opportunities are available now in the field. , after completion of degree we have lot of opportunities.
There is nothing to improve the course. The main thing is we have to improve ourselves with knowledge.
A lot of events are conducted in the college like technical symposiums and other non technical events also take place.
The campus crowd is perfect thing in CIT, the college is located in the main place of Coimbatore so there is no connectivity problems, A lot of scholarships available based upon the performance in the subject and also upon caste.

CIT a nice place, campus full of greeneries. Best place to learn engineering.
Placements: Civil engineering in CIT is a good option, in our batch we have 120 students. Out of 120 ,20 students got placed in top core companies like Larsen &Tourbo, shapooroji phallonji corporation limited, URC, Tata projects.40%students placed in IT companies.
Infrastructure: CIT is a old institution in South India. It has world class laboratories and instruments. CIT library has foreign authors book, novels and nptel courses. Wi-Fi facilities all round the campus. College offers all indoor and outdoor sports and separate grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are 20-35 years of experience they teach the concept well. Teaching quality is excellent. The students are ready for the industry, courses are updated for every 4 years once. Robert Bosch, Renault Nissan l&t has recruited students for intern.
Other: I choose civil engineering because naturally civil engineering offers entrepreneurship and business work. Civil engineering has everything you learn its syllabus are related to many government exams including UPSC. It offers civil engineering as a optional subject. Things to improve reduce more free hours. College has nakshtra a intracollege function especially for first years. College offers 27 clubs for students personality development
college offers government scholarship for students of first graduate and their parents who are not in government jobs. College offers alumni scholarship for students who excellent in sports and academics, research.

Satisfied with the college because of good faculty members.
Placements: Nearly 20% were placed in my course. In our college, the highest package was 32 Lacs per annum, the lowest being 2.1 Lacs per annum and an average of 4 Lacs per annum. The top recruiters were SPCL, URC constructions, L&W and non core companies like TCS, Infosys and LNT infotech. The top role offered was Project manager by Jaro Educations. For my course, the highest package was 12 Lacs per annum (non core), the lowest was 2.1 Lacs per annum and average being 3.15 Lacs per annum.
10% of students were interested in internship and they got internship in JLL, LNT ECC and research institutes like IITM.
Infrastructure: We have a 1000 Mbps Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Our college lags in infrastructure. Being one of the oldest institutions in the state, this college surely needs renovation. The library is well-equipped with magazines, journals, academic books and non academic books as well. The lending period is 3 months which is very convenient. I was a dayscholar, so I didn't experience much in the hostel. The canteen food has got restaurant standards.
Faculty: The teachers were highly qualified, knowledgeable and were able to impart the subject to us in an efficient way. CIT offers a high standard of teaching quality. I can say this because I am doing my PG now and I can sure see the standard of CIT
The course curriculum is always revised and they make sure that it is industry related.
Other: I am interested in civil engineering so I chose this course. The best things about this course is its very practical and easy to compare and learn. I wish my course had more scope in the society. CIT has 22 clubs for extra curricular activities. The campus will always be buzzing with some activities. Club life is definitely a part of an CIT student.

Opt this college, if you want a pleasant environment, friendly faculty and low-stress curriculum.
Placements: Our college has the best core placement percentage compared to the other colleges in and around Coimbatore. It provides good exposure for students who are willing to attend placements, but it is based only on the individual to get placed.
Infrastructure: Some of the buildings in our college are quite old because the college was established around 60 years ago, yet they were built with high standards. The design of one of the building is the same as that of MIT. Overall, the old looking college provides calm and good surroundings as expected by most of the students.
Faculty: The main reason why one would suggest this college is that the faculty here are very friendly. They have immense knowledge which they would like to share with the students without any hesitation. Our college hs much equipment which is not there even at some highly ranked colleges in the South.
Other: There are no inter-college fests. Every year, an intra-college fest is conducted, and it is fully organised and conducted by students.

Really satisfied because of the faculty members and good placements.
Placements: The students were placed in my department is 100%, in my batch. The highest package offered was at 3.45 LPA. Also, top recruiters from both core and IT domain fields have visited our campus. The students here were offered the roles of junior engineers, who are expected to get promoted in two years. There is a placement cell here, but no internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average as it is a typical government college. The classrooms here were spacious, and lighting is good. They have a new building for the library and computer lab. Also, the library here had all the facilities and the computers here were fully functional. The hostel facilities are good, and food will be at the level of a government college.
Faculty: The faculty are knowledgeable here, who had work experience in their respective field. Their teaching methods were traditional with the mixture of theory and labs. In my department, we had around 15 faculty members for 50 students. We also got an industrial exposure during the industry visit of 2nd, 3rd and 4th year.
Other: Our college conducts Technovation every year, which is a technical symposium. Since our college is located in the centre of the city, it had good connectivity along with all the facilities outside the campus.

Renowned college with experienced faculty, average placement, antique infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The placements were average at 75-80% which was pretty lesser than my seniors' batch. For my department, the lowest package was 2.5 LPA and the highest one being 5 LPA. Core companies like L&T, URC, Watch-Wabagh and few other small companies visited with 20/70 placed in them. 30/70 got placed in software companies. On an average, 5% of the total batch were into the internships, and the average stipend was about 5k. The highest being 8k and the lowest being 2k for Masters. There is a placement cell run by the students, and it is highly efficient because it is closely associated with students. It can be better with staff association.
Infrastructure: Our college is an age-old one with many older buildings and few newer buildings. The classrooms are old fashioned with a lot of room space. Labs are equipped with instruments which cannot be seen in many other colleges. Wi-Fi has been recently provided. There are no separate medical facilities. There are separate grounds for all the sports integrated with nature. Quality of food in the hostel is average, but the fee is highly affordable. The hostel rooms are also old fashioned. We had to bring our own table fans. It has been fixed now.
Faculty: The faculty here are highly qualified and experienced professionals. Quality of teaching is good, but if you are a knowledge seeking student, they will be of much useful. Both the blackboard and digital teachings are incorporated. The ratio of student-faculty is 70:1. The industrial exposure was very less, but the course curriculum was not bad. If you can manage to go on your own for exposure, it will be of great use.
Other: 2 major events are held for curriculum between the colleges. There are many clubs for extracurricular activities and sports activities. The intra-college fests are held for cultural and inter-college for sports events. The college is well connected to the city and the campus crowd is diversified. Scholarships are being offered for the entire course duration. The college is embedded with a lot of greenery.

Come with nothing and get everything you need in a college.
Placements: For placement, you need to be an 8 pointer. The lowest salary offered is INR 15 thousand and the highest salary offered is INR 35 Thousand, L&T is one of the top recruiters. You have the freedom to study and the environment is simply cool. The percentage of students placed in companies is 8 pointer and above 8 pointers. Staffs are friendly and available any time to clear doubts.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available. Labs are there with many types of equipment. The library is the most loved place and it is quite silent. When you are tensed, then go to the library, silence changes your mind. The quality of food was superb. The amount for mess is average, rupees 2000 only for a month.
Faculty: Teachers are Ph.D. professionals. So, they are well qualified. They are available at any time in college hours. They are always available to clarify any doubts. The curriculum is relevant and the subject taken is practiced in the current industry. So, it was helpful to the students.
