Our college is worth the money paid, and it provides many opportunities.
Placements: Students in our college get admission based on their cut off marks. I got 191.75 cut-offs, and I got a civil group. The highest salary offered was 1.5 lac per month, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 45,000 per month. Around 80% of students got internships from Larsen and Turbo. Mining department in our college has good placements than the civil department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There is a huge library on campus. Our college provides good opportunities in sports. The food served in the mess is average. Medical facilities are far good. The canteen serves good food at a low price. Sports like basketball and hockey have major opportunities.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and qualified. In our department, K. Chinnaraju sir is good in structure subjects. The course curriculum is relevant, and it offers enough opportunities in all fields. You have good opportunities to unleash your talent.
Other: I chose this course because of its brand name. Agni and Kurukshetra are famous events of our campus and are organised on high-scale.

Placements: 1. 50% is the students were placed in our course.
2. The lowest salary per month offered is - 12000 and the highest salary per month is- 2,00,000.
3. L&T and other top companies hired the students because our college reputation.
4. Junior engineer, Assistant Engineer roles were offered.
5. The lowest salary- 1,44,000 and the highest salary - 24,00,000 was offered to our course.
6.100% internship was offered by L&T, etc.
Infrastructure: 1. Wi-Fi, Labs, Classrooms, Library, Browsing, Lecture hall etc. are available.
2. Medical facilities are good but the hostel food is the worst. You can find worms and insects in our hostel food, water supply is the worst and a hostel named Vaagai is strictly waste.
Faculty: 1. Teachers are very knowledgeable and they are technically skilled and their quality is perfectly good.
2. Our college trains our students in such a way that they can run their own company by themselves because our faculty members are well skilled in their field.
Other: 1. Our course is the very basic need for human beings because without shelter humans cannot survive in this world so I find our course is the best.

Review of CEG - College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University.
Placements: About 10% of students got placed in PPO. Top recruiting companies in the past batch were Afcon, L&T, and Murugappa group. In the past batch, 100% of students got their summer internship, and we have two placement cells, one at the department and the other at the central level.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, and other basic facilities are also present. There is a central library which is open 24x7 and air-conditioned facility. Hostels are fully furnished and spacious, and sports facilities are well provided. Food quality is average on some days.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum was very flexible, and gradation was relative. Industry exposure was provided through guest lectures.
Other: Techno-management fests like department symposium and annual fest named Kurukshetra are organised.

Overall, this college provides ultimate freedom to pursue what you want.
Placements: Placements were less for the civil engineering department in core companies. There are different reasons for such a drastic decline in the civil engineering industry. Moreover, companies hesitate to recruit freshers. Students must be prepared.
Infrastructure: Optimum facilities were provided in our college. Labs were little out of maintenance, but the machinery was maintained perfectly. Hostel rooms are spacious and maintained well. The canteen provides amazing quality food at reasonable prices. Overall, the campus was amazing.
Faculty: The college has highly experienced faculty members, and the course curriculum is perfectly designed. With the introduction of the CBCS system, the flexibility of choosing electives is an advantage. However, this system must be improved further. The course curriculum covers the general aspects of the civil engineering programme.
Other: Technical symposiums of every department are conducted by the students every year, along with the techno-management fest called Kurukshetra and the cultural fest called Techofest. Apart from these technical and cultural fests, various social events are also conducted. The campus is spread over 225 acres with a 99-year-old majestic red building. It was established in 1794, and it is India's oldest engineering campus.

Good college with decent placements.
Placements: The placements offered by the college are good, and they have 100 percent placements. Multinational companies like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro hire the students in bulk numbers ranging from 200-400 people. Many core companies also visit the college. They only select a few students, on an average, ten students per batch. The salary packages offered are good.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are equipped with the projectors and are air-conditioned. The labs have good facilities for the project work. New buildings are built every year, and overall, the infrastructure is average. The buildings are regularly renovated and are kept in good condition.
Faculty: The course curriculum is up to date and good, and three assessments are done every semester. Most of the faculty members are friendly and very helpful, but some are very useless. All the teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Many of them are PhD holders and do real-time researches as well.
Other: Every department has its symposium. The main technical fest held is the Kurukshetra, and the cultural fest held is the Techofes.

The college has good infrastructure, and faculty members can get great exposure to the world.
Placements: The placements for IT, CS EEE, ECE, are good core companies come for the campus interview, and students who have above 8.5 CGPA are allowed to attend the campus interview. While for civil engineering the number of core companies is less (only L&T) come for campus interview. The companies like Amazon, Google, CTS, Cognizant are offering internships for students. The maximum stipend which a student got was Rs. 30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is always available on the campus. Also, there are a library, laboratories, medical facilities, sports and games are available on the campus. The classrooms are well-maintained, and every classroom is provided with projectors. The food in the canteen is worth for the money. The hostel facilities is the only problem and the water scarcity during summer. The campus is covered with greenery and pleasant to live environment.
Faculty: The faculty are mostly student-friendly. The teaching quality is good, and the students are expected to learn from their own. The student to faculty ratio is 20:1. In our curriculum, we have to visit at least two industries per year. The curriculum is equally practical and theoretical.
Other: Every department is conducting inter college and intra-college symposium every year. There is an inter-college cultural fest called Techfest and intra-college cultural fest called Agni conducted every year and many social activities like NSS NCC, and YRC are encouraged.

Apart from CSE, Mech, Elec, EEE and ETC, you will get all branches in this college. You won't get civil but under the SSC course, you can get civil if luck favours.

Hello Vishnu,
Anna University is of the top ranking government engineering colleges in India. So, going for civil engineering in CEG is a good option.
It has good infrastructure, faculty, training and placements.

Actually, the admission and cut off at all Anna University campuses and affiliated colleges depend on your caste.
Mention your category and I'll tell you. This year they have not declared the official cut off marks, so that I may give you an idea about it and also can tell your chance

You need to apply for single window counselling under Anna University. With this cut off scores, as a general category student, it is really difficult to get a seat in Anna University and SSN College of Engineering, Kalavakkam.
