Coimbatore Institute of Technology Admissions 2025: Application Process, Eligibility, Courses & Fee

Coimbatore Institute of Technology BSc fees is sum of various components, such as tuition fees, hostel fees, admission fees, etc. A few of these components are one-time chargeable, while some have to be paid annually or semester-wise. CIT BSc tuition fees is INR 7.36 lakh, hostel fees is INR 1.53 lakh, and one-time fees of INR 4,200. This fee is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. Coimbatore Institute of Technology provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, or equivalent with a minimum of 45% aggregate. In addition to this, students need to appear for TNEA counselling or the Single Window Admissions System. Single Window Admissions System is used in Anna University for TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission). It is popularly known as Anna University Counselling and is part of the process via which students completing Class 12 apply and secure admission to Engineering colleges within Tamil Nadu. The important strategy is that the counselling is conducted based on rank list, if a student is present for counselling then without allocating a college and course for that student, next rank cannot be allocated with a seat.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology accepts TNEA score, followed by TNEA Counselling for admission to the BTech course. CIT Coimbatore cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 1 of the Seat Allocation Process. As per CIT Coimbatore cutoff 2023, the Round 1 closing rank was 1343 for BTech in Computer Science and Technology for the General category student. In 2022, the last round closing rank stood at 1288 for BTech CSE programme.

CIT Coimbatore TNEA cutoff 2023 was released for several BTech specialisations, among which CSE was the most competitie one with a last round closing rank of 1764 for OBC category. For BTech at CIT Coimbatore, TNEA cutoff 2023 ranged between 1764 and 22689, so yes candidates with a rank of 2500 can definetly get into CIT Coimbatore. However, the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in TNEA, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

The tuition fee of CIT for the B.Tech course ranges between INR 1.07 lakhs and INR 3.4 lakhs. Coimbatore Institute of Technology offers full-time, four-year BE and B.Tech courses as well as lateral entry to these courses in nine specialisations. The institute also offers part-time BE courses to Diploma holders in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical & Electronics Engineering for a period of seven semesters.

CIT Coimbatore seat reservation is not available on the web as of now. However, the institute does provide relaxation in minimum aggregate to the SC/ST candidates. For general category candidates, the minimum mark requires in Class 12 is 75%. Moreover, the Coimbatore Institute of Technology may follow the seat reservation rules as prescribed by the state or central government.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate is the basic eligibility for an MCA offered at CIT Coimbatore. However, the final selection of candidates is based on TANCET followed by counselling.
