B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2028

Overall the college is very good.
Placements: Our college has a average of 3LPA now, before Covid, there is 5 to 7 LPA, but the companies are really nice, so students get placement here. Moreover, a average placement here, but the faculty members and students are trying to improve the placements for better.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure and hostel are really good. Hostel food is also good, and for EC, there are more than 2 labs and Wi-Fi support. Classroom and atmosphere are very good, fully satisfied. Libraries have plenty of book collections and also a digital library available.
Faculty: Our college is under APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University. They have a structured curriculum and a academic calendar. Every event follows this academic calendar. The semester exam is not that tough if you study well, you can pass. Overall good here.

College of Engineering Adoor: Excellence in Learning.
Placements: The College of Engineering, Adoor has an average placement history. College of Engineering Adoor offers varied placements. In mechanical, around 10-60% of students got placed with an average of 3 LPA - 5 LPA. In ECE/Electrical, around 80–90% of students got placed with a salary package of 4–8 LPA. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, and L&T. Internships are frequent in IT/core firms.
Infrastructure: CEA has good infrastructure with spacious classrooms, well-equipped labs, computer centers, Wi-Fi, seminar halls, hostels, a library, and playgrounds. They provide a supportive campus environment for academics and activities. It has good hostel and food facilities. We have a good hostel.
Faculty: CEA teachers are experienced and supportive, blending theory with practical learning. The curriculum follows APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, updated with labs, projects, and industry-oriented subjects. Projects may come from small companies or previous alumni.

Overrated course of an overrated college.
Placements: Most students don't get any job after studying at this college most of them are unemployed. This is the reality of our college. Only few students got placed. They don't represent most of this college. There are many problems in our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is in pathetic condition. It looks like it has not been maintained for a long time. College has an old and damaged appearance. On mechanical block most of the tiles on the floor are broken due to mismanagement of the college.
Faculty: Course curriculum is boring, they want us to study other subjects which don't give us a job like everyone in society calls us unemployed. It is not relevant. The pass percentage is very low not even half students passed. The exams are difficult due to intense exams, record with writing, assignment writing, etc.

I'm dissatisfied with college.
Placements: Placements in this college are in very bad condition. Most students are failing the exams. Only 30% students passed exams in the last year. Most students didn't get any job after the course. Most companies aren't interested in this college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in this college is very small and narrow. Photos on Google are misleading. Labs are very congested. Toilets are hygienic and smelly. There are poor instruments and furnitures. Dogs are everywhere including college building is covered with moss.
Faculty: Faculty members have zero experience and zero ability to teach. Faculty members are missing their authority to decrease attendance and internal marks of students due to personal grudges. Course curriculum is so bad, that companies are avoiding this college for placements. Even companies know curriculum is useless.

The most underrated college in the world.
Placements: Even though only some students are getting placements every year they got it from good multinational companies. We have many companies like Syntel, HCL, Syntel, Oracle, UST, etc., which give jobs to students in this college, but still pass percentage is about 30%.
Infrastructure: College has good infrastructure and other facilities compared with other colleges. It has good and well-established classrooms, it has a canteen which provides good and excellent food which is prepared hygienically. The hostel food is also good.
Faculty: The curriculum is well-established. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. I think this course makes students ready for their industrial way. The exams are also difficult.

The overhyped curriculum and engineering field in College of Engineering, Adoor.
Placements: Most students are failing exams. Only 13 students got placed. Many MNCs like Wipro, Oracle, HCL, etc., recruited students but that is very few. The minimum package offered is 1 LPA. Most students don't even get good placements.
Infrastructure: College has a good library and good infrastructure but they don't have facility to take advantage of this infrastructure. Facilities aren't in such good condition. I still don't know what's going on class. They have good canteen, classrooms, etc., but the quality of sports facilities is limited.
Faculty: Exams are very tough. I get half of the full marks, I don't think the course curriculum is relevant, it is still old model type of syllabus only some python and other subjects entered. Many students are failing in every exams even in series exams.

The average college in my words.
Placements: The college only provides minimum placements. This year they got only 13 placements, and many students are passing every year. We have many companies like Wipro, HCL, Syntel, Oracle, etc., to provide good placements. The highest package ever provided is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are digitalized. It has a good library. There is Wi-Fi but it is only for faculty members. But the classrooms don't have any air holes. College canteen provides good and hygienic food every day. I don't know anything about medical facilities. But for sports and other facilities are very limited.
Faculty: I think that since the curriculum is new there are big advancements in our syllabus, which will ensure more jobs and others due to new syllabus. It makes the students ready for industry. But the exams are very difficult more and students are failing than passing. Teachers are really helpful in teaching between.

Facilities aren't good enough.
Placements: The College of Engineering, Adoor has established a robust placement record with numerous reputable companies participating in campus recruitment drives. Prominent organizations such as Infosys, Wipro, Tata Elxsi, Oracle, etc., recruit students directly from the college.
Infrastructure: The college has good, smart classrooms. It has a good library which consists of a large number of books. The hostel provides delicious, tasty, healthy, and hygienic food. It does not have a good sports ground and no other facilities. It is overrated for such things.
Faculty: The curriculum is of KTU. The KTU syllabus is tough, and it isn’t a normal exam that is given to you. The faculty is boring, they don’t teach you very well. Most of students who study this course are jobless now. I don’t know why people still study this course.
