B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2023
3.2
It is a good college with many students.
Placements: More than 50% of students in our batch got placed before the start of this new year. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, the average salary package is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 3 LPA. Many companies like Paxcom, Grey, etc., offer placements in our college. Software engineer or developer roles are offered.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available in every block. Labs and classrooms are average. The library has old edition books. I am a day scholar so can't say about the hostel. Some students like the food served in the mess.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful and well-qualified. The course curriculum is outdated and is only suitable to score CGPA. Every student has to put in the effort to get ready for industry.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2021
2.0
Our college is average college.
Placements: Around 20% of students get on-campus placements and the rest find jobs off-campus. IT companies come for placements and no core companies. The highest salary package was 10 LPA and the average salary package is 3 LPA. Chandigarh-based companies come for placements.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine. There is Wi-Fi but the speed is low. There is a monthly limit for the students using the internet. Some classrooms have air-conditioners and some don't. Quality of food in the hostel is good. There are sports activities and many students won the gold medal in inter-university competitions.
Faculty: Faculty is experienced. Many professors are leaving as the crowd is not much. Most students are going to Canada for studies and referring universities. The course curriculum is according to AICTE. Semester exams are not too tough.
Other: No events and fests are organised.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2022
2.8
I suggest you don't choose a college based on its reputation and choose based on its experience.
Placements: I am a student of 2022 passed out batch of B.Tech electronics and communication engineering. Around 25% of students got placed from ECE. The highest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. None of the core companies visited our college. All the placements conducted are only in the field of software engineer, patents and research. Moreover, the companies that visited here mostly are from the location of Chandigarh and Mohali.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available for every course/department is good. Every student has Wi-Fi Id to access the internet with a 30 GB monthly limit. Labs are also in good condition, and all the classrooms are spacious and airy. Some classrooms even have air-conditioners. The library of the college is beautifully built and maintained. You will surely love it. The canteen is also available here, and the menu and quality of food depend on the contract. During my tenure, it was fabulous, and the food items were also good.
Faculty: The teachers here are qualified, helpful and knowledgeable, but it depends on every semester as 3 teachers out of 6 teachers are hardworking. They teach well, while the rest of them are below average to average. In terms of theoretical, the course curriculum is relevant, but industry point of view, it is not at all good. The curriculum focuses only or majorly on the theory part. Semester exams are average. The pass percentage ranges from 60% to 75%.
Other: I chose this course because I heard that it's best, but in reality, it is not good. Our college focuses only on theory subjects and not on practicals. They don't train you for the industry. The placements are provided only in the software field. Extracurricular activities are good in our college.

It has really good infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: The placements in DAVIET are good. Companies like Wipro, TCS, etc., come here. The average package offered is 4-6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 12 LPA. Approximately 60-70% of students get placed every year with good packages. The training and placement department is very supportive.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are good, and some of them have AC. Wi-Fi is free for students. Labs are equipped with all the required equipment. The library has a great collection of books for every branch and every year. The hostel is good, and the food quality is sometimes the best and sometimes the worst.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. You can call them at any time, and they will not refuse to solve your doubts. You can also share other problems with them. Apart from studies, they will also boost your confidence to participate in multiple events. The course curriculum is according to the norms of IKG PTU.

Second best engineering college in Jalandhar after NIT.
Placements: Around 55-60% students got placed in our course. The highest package - 12lpa, the lowest package- 2.5lpa and average- 4 lpa. Top companies - Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Zscaler, ST electronics, JARO, cognizant. 30% students got internship in Zapbuild, Signicent, Emicon companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is installed in all the blocks of the college and the speed of the internet is also pretty good. Labs are provided for every dedicated subject but there are hardly any equipment available in the labs. Moreover, there are no Air conditioners installed in labs and classrooms which makes it very difficult in the summers. The library is one of the good things in the institute where you can issue books for yourself.
Faculty: The teaching quality of the professors are good. Almost all the lecturers who taught in our course were either PhDs or were pursuing Ph.D. So they are qualified as well as the teaching technique is also good. The course curriculum is somehow relevant but the only issue is that mainly IT companies visit the campus for placements so there were no core electronics company that visited the campus for placement.
Other: Apart from the basic course DAVIET also encourages students to take part in ECA activities. Every year there are a lot of events, tech fest, youth fest and various other events which are conducted in the institute.

College was fun even after a lot of restrictions, Average placements, Nice infrastructure.
Placements: Approximately 30% of the students were placed in various companies like Wipro, Shapoorji. The companies which have tie-up in college offered the package up to 4 Lacs, But few students in my batch applied off campus (solely their efforts) got the highest package of 20 Lacs. Most of them were placed in IT companies. The highest package in my course 3.5 Lacs and the lowest package was 1-1.5 Lacs. 20% of them got the internship in companies like Wipro.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi was quite good in our college. Labs were quite well organised and contains each and every equipment which were required. Classrooms also were quite good. Some classrooms contain AC facility. Library was good according to strength. Most of the Books were available in the library. The quality of mess was much better than other colleges. They only have two grounds in which you can play any kind of sports you want.
Faculty: Most of them were well qualified. While others were pursuing their master degree. Teachers were quite helpful and knowledgeable. ECE companies are mostly PSUs and for that, you have to crack GATE etc. And so the course curriculum is much relevant to the competitive exam.
Other: I opted this course because I earlier wanted to crack government exams. You get the knowledge of electronics, electrical and computer. I think more practical knowledge should be beneficial. ADAVITYA was the fest of our college. Tech fest, youth-fest, sports-fest etc. DAV surrounded in a residential area and can be conveniently reached from anywhere.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to faculty.
Placements: Placement is decreased day by day in ECE branch. I think college placement cell is not that or head of placement cell is not capable to invite more company. They show list of 100 companies but there is only 2 to 3 is for technical job and other companies only for sales and other.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is good. There is friendly atmosphere in college. Parking area is huge. There is football and basketball ground available. Hostel for boys and girls with AC room availability is also there. Auditorium is fully AC and well managed.
Faculty: There is only few teachers who have proper knowledge of subject. There is also some teacher they don't think about the students future and failed the student in internal otherwise give only passing marks in internal which effect the degree of student. Faculty is not adjustable.

Genuine review from an alumni.
Placements: Placements are good. But it depends more on the aspirant. This is not an elite college. So expect only service industries campus placements like Wipro. Core companies placements are very less. The training and placements cell is not that good. Few good companies like ST microelectronics also come for placements. But the CTC offered is quite less as compared to NITs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is Great. It's quite green and well maintained. There is lawn at the entrance of the college. The college has an auditorium and convention hall as well. Hostels are also clean but the Food served in the hostels is not that good. But still, it's hygienic. The parking area is also good.
Faculty: The Faculty for electronics and communication is Good. But there are few professors who aren't that great at teaching and nowadays college has started hiring previous years college passouts which has quite degraded the teaching level. Labs aren't that much facilitated.
