B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2020

The college is not very good if you want a high package, good knowledge or some best teachers.
Placements: Almost 70% of students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was almost around 4.5 LPA to 5 LPA. Capgemini, TCS and Khetan Industries are top recruiters here. About 50% of students got internships from our college in Punjab. Maximum Punjabi students prefer to go foreign for higher studies and get high salary package jobs. So, only other states' students want to do internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi does not work here. In labs, all the equipment or electronic machines are damaged or do not work. There is no hostel facility, and only PGs are available. Medical facilities are available, but there are no sports and games. There is no mess service in our college. However, a canteen is available.
Faculty: Some teachers are knowledgeable here, while some are not. Their teaching quality is not much good. If you want only to do time pass, then I suggest you choose this college. The course curriculum is not relevant. If you join ECE, then during placements, none of the companies visits or interested in providing jobs for you.
Other: While I am joining ECE, many teachers said if I join ECE, I will get a high salary package job, or there is much scope in ECE. But in the end, you only get a job in the IT sector and not in electronics. They need to provide practicals in our course. If your father's annual income is below 2 lacs, then you will get a scholarship. Events and fest organised here are not very good but average. Extracurricular activities are not at all conducted.

We need good guidance, and I had got it from our teachers.
Placements: Almost 40% of the students were placed in our course. The average salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month. Most of the students are placed in TCS and others are placed in different companies. Roles offered by companies are HR, technician, and computer operator. The average salary package is 3.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: There was no Wi-Fi available for students from the university. Labs are average. Some of the classrooms had a projector, and some of them had the only whiteboard. There was no hostel for boys on the campus, so I am not able to tell you about any facilities of the hostel.
Faculty: I have never found these kinds of teachers. They were very helpful and highly knowledgeable. They guide us very well. They were the best teachers. The course curriculum is relevant, but some students were not able to understand the things which were taught in the class.

It is an average college with average studies.
Placements: Various companies visited our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA and the average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Few teachers also supported us as they helped us with the paper of the company, which was very helpful to us, and they guided us in our bad times.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was not that appealing. Labs were not properly maintained, and the components of the lab were not working properly. However, some were not available. Labs are not cleaned properly, and the lights are not working.
Faculty: Faculty members here are average. Some teachers are good, and they take teaching seriously. Students have to study on their own and have to work and improve their skills.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is a technical subject.

I am satisfied with the college, and it provides good jobs.
Placements: Almost every student who prepared for placements got good packages, and I was one of them. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 3.3 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, KPMG and Capgemini visit our campus for placements. Roles like joint engineer trainee, software assistant manager and junior software assistant are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: I am extremely grateful to the alumni of the Guru Nanak Dev University for overwhelming generosity and support they have shown in me and grooming me to a new level. It gave me ample opportunities to develop and showcase my talent at different levels.
Faculty: I was able to make projects like gesture controlled robot and AC to DC converter with the support of my teachers and friends.
Other: I attended plenty of workshops and seminars on new technologies in the field of electronics which helped me in winning line following robot and soldering competitions in various tech fests.

I am satisfied with the faculty, motivating surroundings, etc.
Placements: Almost 15% of the students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 4.50 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. TCS, KPMG, Capgemini, etc., are the top recruiters. I have no idea about the students who got the internship. Some teachers guided us about the placements and other opportunities in future.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good, but few things can be improved if taken under the charge. Wi-Fi is very good in the library as well as in the hostel. Lab's condition is very good and also managed very well by the faculty. Classrooms are very spacious but not clean as they should be.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and knowledgeable. They guided us very well. Earlier, some of the teachers were not good, and they were terminated. If you are offering us electronics branch, then you should provide us with equal opportunities to the other branches like CSE. We electronics students have to learn the computer language for the placements.
Other: I have chosen this course as it is a quite interesting course. In India, there should be more opportunities for ECE branch.

Review of Guru Nanak Dev University Regional Campus, Jalandhar.
Placements: Our university is good if you compare the study pattern with other universities. However, when companies arrive for placements, most of the students opt to go to the main campus rather than regional campus. Placements are good, though. Students don't need to worry about it. Most of the placements are provided on this campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The college has a library where you will find books for reference. There is no proper ground if you want to excel in sports. You have to go to the main campus to play. There is only one building for the IT department where you'll find both ECE and CSE departments.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and very helpful. They will help you in getting placed. However, proper placement training should be provided even if the curriculum is designed according to the industry. The college needs to conduct better practicals by providing machinery.
Other: Overall, the college is below average.

The college has good infrastructure with all facilities. The placements are average.
Placements: The placements for the students of electronics and communication are good but not great. The package offered is around Rs. 3.5-4.2 LPA approximately. The students should have the CGPA of at least 6.0 to apply for placements. Many companies visit our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The campus is not huge, and it is small in area but has all facilities. All the labs are well-equipped. The library has all books that the students need. The college also provides medical facilities and Wi-Fi facilities for the students. A hostel is provided for girls.
Faculty: All the faculty members of our college are highly qualified. They are helpful, and they teach us about new technologies and techniques. They gave us assignments and projects to improve our knowledge in any subject. The students get industry exposure after the fourth semester and in the entire 8th semester.

I'm absolutely satisfied because of good placements, good facilities and the good library.
Placements: 70 per cent of the students of our senior batch got placed. Tata Consultant Service visited the campus. The highest package offered is approximately 4 LPA and the average package offered is 3 LPA. Tata Consultant Service company visit the college and hire many students every year, and they offer a very good package. Only a few students of ECE branch are hired by core companies when compared with TCS.
Infrastructure: The library is good. The college also provides medical facilities. Labs are good. The classrooms are also good. There is a very good court for basketball and badminton, but there is no sufficient space to play cricket. There is a large place for parking.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very helpful. The teaching quality is good. The teaching methods are very good for students. The course curriculum is very useful. All the teachers are knowledgeable. The teachers are honest and punctual, and they provide notes to the students.
