Good campus and helpful faculty, but placements and industry exposure need improvement.
Placements: I pursue my B.Sc. IT course at Kirti College, Mumbai, is known for providing a strong foundation in information technology and practical learning. Our batch has good placement opportunities, with nearly 65–70% of students successfully placed in reputed companies. The highest package offered is around 6–7 LPA, while the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and the average package stands at 3.5–4 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies for our course include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, and several IT start-ups.
Infrastructure: In the B.Sc. IT department of Kirti College classrooms are spacious with projectors. Computer labs have Wi-Fi and updated software. The library is well-stocked with IT books and e-resources. Hostel facilities are decent, with clean rooms, while the mess and canteen food are average but hygienic. Basic medical help is available. Sports facilities like cricket, football, and indoor games are also provided.
Faculty: Faculty of B.Sc. IT staff at Kirti College are helpful and knowledgeable, with good teaching quality. The curriculum is as per Mumbai University and provides students with a solid base, though extra skills are needed for industry readiness. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the overall pass percentage is quite good.
Other: I am part of the B.Sc. IT batch at Kirti College. I chose this course because of my interest in technology and career opportunities in IT. The best part is the practical learning in programming, databases, and networking. Improvement can be made with more industry tie-ups and advanced labs. The campus crowd is energetic with fests, events and extracurricular activities. Being located in Dadar, the college has good connectivity and a positive environment, along with scholarship support for students.
