Our college is a popular college in this locality.
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed in this course. All types of Science students are read in this course. The average package offered in this course. All types of students who want to go with this subject can definitely take admission in our college.
Infrastructure: The library of our college is very nice, with various collections of books and journals present in the library. In our classrooms, nice classes are held, and the labs are full of equipment. The stored animals and plants are in good condition, and the lab is very beautiful.
Faculty: Our teachers are very supportive and kind to students, and their technique of coaching is awesome. The semester exams are somewhat difficult. The pass percentage of the exam is 14 out of 50. The exam is done after admission, starting with internal exams and ending with external exams.
Other: Our college premises are nice and full of decorations with plants, which are eco-friendly.

DInabandhu Andrews College - One of the best colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: As it is not a job market (corporate-oriented sector) based subject, so there is no such thing like placement. But in the case of mathematics, electronics students I have heard many of the students were placed in some renowned companies like TCS. 4 students from our batch got an internship form our department.
Infrastructure: Dinabandhu Andrews College (DAC) is one of the great colleges in South Bengal. The infrastructures that DAC provided us is good. High-speed Wi-Fi is available. The classrooms are very airy, cleaned and they are very big. The library is one of the best facilities that DAC provided us. Department-wise, all the books are available there with many copies of the same books. The library also provides good journals of national and international level. The library room is air-conditioned. Medical facilities are average. DAC students' union conducts many sports events in a year. Cricket, football, carrom, and table tennis competitions are held.
The canteens have a hygienic environment. The food items are very good and they are cheap.
Faculty: All the faculty members of our college are kind. They are highly qualified in their respective fields. They are helpful and have a good relationship with the students. We never hesitated to express our
doubts and because of their contribution, we had good results in the examinations. Their guidance helped us a lot.
Other: Dinabandhu Andrews College was established in the year 1956 at Garia 5-6 no. bus stand. This is a co-ed college with more than 10000 students. The college provides us UG In 16 different course in physics, chemistry, mathematics, electronics, economics, botany, zoology, microbiology, sericulture, bengali, english, history, political science, philosophy, accounting and finance, geography. DAC also provides PG course in zoology and electronics as well.

There are no placements, but good faculty.
Placements: I completed my Honours in Zoology from Dinabandhu Andrews College. In my batch, nobody received any kind of placement, and our college did not have a specialized placement cell. It provided opportunities for research and higher education, but relying on this college for placement, especially in the field of biological sciences should have been completely avoided. They did not guarantee any kind of on-campus placement drives, though students could try applying off-campus.
Infrastructure: There were no hostel facilities available, but students coming from distant areas could easily find PGs nearby at very affordable prices. Of course, the infrastructure was not like that of private colleges, but students were provided with efficient classrooms, practical rooms, and a college library. Except for Zoology, the other science labs were quite well maintained. There used to be a canteen, but at the time, it was not functioning, But, students had multiple feasible eatery options just outside the college building. The college organized football championships in which students could participate and provided a platform where talents were acknowledged.
Faculty: If someone was solely committed to acquiring knowledge and wanted to develop an interest in research, the highly qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic professors were there to help. The course curriculum followed was that of Calcutta University, which had its own significance and needed no introduction. It made students quite well-equipped in their subject and prepared them for highly competitive exams like NET-JRF and many more. Although no industrial training was provided, the college uplifted students academically. It was extremely difficult to pass the semesters, with a passing percentage of less than 50%.
Other: I chose Zoology because I admired biological sciences and had little knowledge about the pros and cons of chosing the same in this college. The best thing about the Zoology department of our college was our professors. They were highly qualified for what they were doing and guided us a lot academically. I wished the condition of labs had been better. There were many capable students in our batch who deserved internships, but unfortunately, our college did not provide any aid regarding that. Our college had many scholarship programs under the state government for students. The college fests were rare.
