It is a very good college for students to improve their skills.
Placements: It is a very good college. Our course consists of 15 students. Since it is a government college, the salary packages are not good. Around 80% of students get internships in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities of our college are attractive. There are departmental labs and library facilities. Students can use this library.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, highly educated, experienced, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry ready. Semester exams are difficult.
Other: I chose this course because it provides many job opportunities to be successful in life. Our college consists of 3000 students and more than 260 teachers.

It is one of the best colleges in South Calcutta.
Placements: Placements in our college were not that good because it was a college for attaining a bachelor's degree only. You don't get many skills here, but it is very good for attaining higher studies and the course there is a bit study based. But a few companies show their interest in picking up students from the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college was very good with its canteen, playground and other facilities. Canteen was clean, and the food served was also good. The best part of the campus was the playground which was a big one where you can play football, cricket and many games. The college also organises several sports events every year.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college were very good, friendly and helpful. The course is among one of the best courses offered by the college. They did a lot of things so that we can shine brighter in the future. Our course was the best of all the courses offered in college.
Other: We had good campus life and a lot of friends.

Faculty and infrastructure are good.
Placements: There is no placement cell, but students got placements from Calcutta University. Companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Capgemini offered jobs. I am not aware of placements. Almost 90% of the students were placed. Non of the students got internships from our college.
Infrastructure: Classrooms, library, labs are good. Labs are provided with updated facilities. The library is always equipped with the latest books. Classrooms are also decent. There is no Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Canteen is good, and food is served for everyone. Our college does not have hostel facility.
Faculty: Teaching methods and quality are good. Faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful to students. They adapt methods whenever needed. The course curriculum is perfect. We are provided with everything we need for our future jobs.

Our college is very good.
Placements: Almost 70% of students got placed in our college. Almost 55% secured positions after completing accounting and data analytics bridge courses following our final exams. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Nielsen India PVT LTD, Amazon, and Reliance Retail LTD. Around 40% of students got internships with companies like Amazon, Amul, and Calcutta Municipal Corporation. Top roles offered are business data analyst, operations analyst, and management accountant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides good facilities. We have a variety of seating and reading options. The library offers Wi-Fi. It is stocked with up-to-date books on economics, accounting, finance, marketing, and data analytics. There are two classrooms designated for our economics department, one for regular theoretical studies and the other for paper presentations, seminars, and other important events. Our teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. They provide theoretical and practical knowledge. There is no hostel facility on campus. Our college's student coordinator staff assists students from interior areas with suitable living arrangements. The food served in the canteen is clean, hygienic, and affordable. They provide separate sections for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. The first-aid facility is dynamic, with two doctors available to assist with any health issues. Sports facilities are lively and prominent. A large playing field mainly used for cricket. Our college emerged victorious in the district inter-college cricket tournament held in December 2023, competing against 12 other colleges.
Faculty: Our department has 7 teachers. They are Ph.D. holders. These experienced educators have been invaluable in providing us with a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of the subject. We have had the opportunity to attend numerous seminars with distinguished professors, scholars, and industry experts, who have shared their valuable insights and wisdom. Our curriculum is well-balanced, encompassing core subject knowledge and its practical applications, with a mix of extensive theories and brief case studies. We have participated in data analytics and marketing certification courses, which have contributed to our industrial acumen and employability post-graduation. Our semester exams, set by Calcutta University, were challenging, particularly the case study analysis component, which required deep analysis within a fixed timeframe. Almost 90% of students pass the exams, with 60% receiving first-class across all 6 semesters of the 3-year course.
Other: I opted for this course because it has a well-designed curriculum, experienced faculty members, and affordable fees. After researching several institutions, I found Dinabandhu Andrews College which offered an excellent economics program, remarkable faculty members, and an ideal learning environment. It should be more modern and comprehensive to assist all students in securing employment opportunities after completing their studies. An online placement assistance portal maintained by the college would be beneficial in helping students find online-oriented jobs, like freelancing. The college student council organises outstanding events and annual fests, such as musical fests attended by renowned Bengali singers like Anupam Roy and Rupam Islam. The campus has a lively and diverse crowd from middle-class backgrounds. It features a vast playing field, a water body, and several hangout spots. Our college provides two scholarships, the District Magistrate Academic Excellence Scholarship and the Dinabandhu Andrews Memorial Scholarship. There is 30% fee reduction for students who score 60% or above in their first and second semester exams and 50% course fee reduction for 30 deserving students from low economic backgrounds. Our college conducts nutrition courses and campaigns against ragging and bullying each year after the admission session for new students.
