A good college for the undergraduate level.

Placements: There are placements in B.Com degree but not for B.Sc. or B.A. degree. Since it is a college providing general degrees under the University of Calcutta, there is nothing as placement here for arts and science courses, as the Bachelor's degree in these subjects does not give a good job.

Infrastructure: The college is non-A/C as most colleges under the University of Calcutta. There is an open stage where college functions take place. The college was a huge canteen, but the food supply is irregular. The classrooms are big and airy, and the labs though not modernised are still enough for undergraduate level.

Faculty: The teachers of this college are well qualified and helpful too. The student-faculty is ratio is 50:1 approximately in the honours class. But, the classes don't take place regularly, and the teachers have no headache to complete the syllabus. This is because students hardly attend the classes of college.

Other: The college is situated in the heart of Garia and has connectivity to bus and metro railway. The campus though not huge is good and the environment is peaceful. The student union is there to uphold the rights of the students, and they organise freshers, fest and cricket tournament every year.
