No attendance issue. Really bad infrastructure. Don’t want to deal with any teacher.
Placements: The alumni of our college are doing really good. Most of them are in PSU and in IITs. In 2025, almost 20 to 25 students got placements, and all of them got an offer of 2 LPA. Some of them got even less. Our college is mainly famous for GATE results, but this year the GATE performance is also really bad. The highest placement by a college student is about 50 LPA, but off-campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really old and damaged. My classroom ceiling leaks, and there are not even working fans and lights in classes for Chemical Engineering. But the new department has good classes with fans and lights. There is only one smart class in the entire college with a digital board and AC.
Faculty: Some teachers are really good, while some are really bad. Some are really educated, like Poonam Nigam Mam, who has done her M. Tech from IIT Kanpur and her Ph.D. from Ohio State University. The college follows the AKTU curriculum, so it is old and irrelevant. Semester exams are not very difficult; I have passed my first year by just studying the whole night before the exam.
Other: Events and fests are not very good, just a little bit better than your school events (if you came from a UP Board school). The best thing about the college is that there is no attendance issue for almost all branches. So you can stay in your room and study if you want, or watch TV all day like most of us.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Divyangjan (AITD), Kanpur, was established in 1997.
Placements: A low percentage of my college students get placed on campus. The rest students opt for off-campus placements. If students want good job opportunities, then they will have more time to prepare for GATE and other exams. Companies like TCS and Whirlpool visit the campus for placements, but with a low package.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread over a land of only 10 acres, which makes us understand how the infrastructure would be. Buildings are old enough, and only one building is being built recently. There is a ground beside the college building where events are held on special days, and the rest of the days are free to do anything.
Faculty: Faculty members are great at teaching. They are friendly as well. As this college is under AKTU, the hardness level is quite high. We might not score as much as we expect, but our base will be stronger.
Other: If students are taking this college for preparation for any competitive exams, then it could be one of the best colleges for us, as there are very few restrictions regarding attendance. If students are going for placements after B.Tech in this college, then it could be a slight struggle. Cultural programs as well as sports events keep happening on a regular basis.

The faculty of the college is good.
Placements: Placements are good, but you have to develop skills by yourself. The highest package is 50 LPA (off campus) and 15 LPA (on campus). The chemical engineering department of this college facilitates industry visits, which can be a valuable starting point. Top recruiting companies visiting in this course are as follows: Kansai Nerolac Paints, Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions, Rinex Technology Pty. Ltd.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, but there is no AC available in classrooms and no smart boards. The infrastructure is quite old. There is no such place on campus where we can visit. There is one canteen, but the labs are good and well-equipped. The college has its own research center.
Faculty: Teachers in the chemical department are good. Proper classes are held in the chemical branch. Teachers are very helpful, and you can even discuss competitive exams that you want to take. Many students of the chemical branch have qualified for GATE. Overall, this college is good for the chemical branch.

Don't come here if you are ambitious and progressive about your career.
Placements: Being brutally honest, placements are very bad here. For chemical branch, few students got placed at 2 LPA - 3 LPA. But the fact, the crowd is not very competitive. So no good company will visit this college. For other branches also, it's poor. Please don't come.
Infrastructure: Our college has poor infrastructure and no maintenance. Classes are pathetic. Hostel doesn't even have the bare minimum facilities. No power backup, and has electricity issues. Campus is small. Hostel is not even available for everyone till the final year. Students have to live outside on rent.
Faculty: Curriculum is not according to what the industries demand. Well, it's a part of university and not college individual. Semester exams are nothing but a joke. Marking that doesn't make any sense. No good company shall come since they won't find good candidates.
Other: I chose this course because of a government seat. But I would say if you can afford, please go to private college. This college won't even give you a good college life and not even good academics. Fests are below average, and crowd is just disgusting. It has very non-progressive students. Surroundings are also bad. Clubs and societies are also inactive.

Now, placement for the Chemical Engineering branch is good.
Placements: Here, I opt for engineering in the Chemical branch. Here, placement for the Chemical Engineering branch is quite good, with about 80% of students getting placed with a nominal package. To choose the Chemical Engineering branch, it is easy to clear the GATE exam by the Chemical Engineering branch.
Infrastructure: Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology for Handicapped has an average campus. Yes, here there are labs, a library, and decent Wi-Fi. The good part is that there is an incubation cell for your ideas. There is a playground, not too big, but yes, enough. There is an incubation cell.
Faculty: The faculty is quite good. They are graduated and knowledgeable. Class tests are held regularly, and semester exams are not too tough, but yes, not easy also. Some professors are from HBTU, a fine university, and they have good knowledge of technology. Here, there is no pressure for 75% attendance.
Other: Here, I chose the Chemical Engineering branch because the placements are good.
