Great infrastructure with unfairly hard academics.

Placements: 77.8% students were placed in my course. Median package offered was 18LPA. Top role offered was that of software engineer in IT by MNCs like Adobe, Microsoft and Amazon, consulting roles were offered by Accenture along with core roles by Airbus and HAL. Around 30% students of my course were offered on-campus internships in mostly technical, consulting and trading roles.

Infrastructure: We have 5G wifi available across the campus. There is an expansive library and a multitude of classrooms. The labs are spread across a large academic area with all the modern facilities available. We have a wind tunnel facility, an airstrip, flight lab and 3 working aircrafts. There are 14 student hostels with a maximum capacity of 650 students. Mess facilities are available in each hostel with food served 3 times a day and canteens are open for a duration of 12 hours. We have multiple grounds spread across the campus, a PE ground, a football ground, an event ground and an audi ground. There are also voleyball, badminton and basketball courts in each hostel. Also, there is an olympic sized swimming pool, a badminton court, tennis courts, a yoga hall, volleyball courts and two gyms with all the required facilities available.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable but some are aloof and careless. The teaching quality varies. While all the teachers are Masters in their respective subjects, many lack the patience and skills to explain and relate to the students. The course curriculum is relevant with many new and exciting topics. I would say that the courses do prepare the students, o content wise, for the industry. The subjects range from very difficult to easier ones. Overall, the semesters are difficult but not extreme. The passing percentage is usually around 90% but I have taken subjects which had 40% pass percentage.

Other: I chose this course because I thought the name was cool (Aerospace Engineering). The best things about my course are the various labs and active areas of research. While some labs have the state of the art technology, a couple have equipments not upgraded from 10 years ago. Also, I wish the course would also include subjects with more 'space' part in them.

Real Experience In IIT Kanpur.

Placements: So, my department is Aerospace Engineering. In my course, there is not a very good number of placements; only 70 to 75% of students are placed in my course. The highest was around 40 LPA, the lowest was 10 LPA, and the average was 20 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, etc. The number of internships is very low in my course; only 10% of students got internships last year. Top roles are mainly Software Developers.

Infrastructure: There is a national wind tunnel facility at IIT Kanpur, and there is also an airstrip. IIT Kanpur is the only IIT that has its own airstrip, and the aerospace department facilities at IIT Kanpur are some of the best in the world. There are always high-tech labs in my department. The hostels are very bad at IIT Kanpur; UG hostels are very bad, and PG hostels are good but not so much. The facilities in the hostel are light, table, chair, and bed only. There is only one medical store in the whole of IIT Kanpur.

Faculty: The faculty of IIT Kanpur are very helpful, and some professors are very good, but it is difficult to get a course under the good professors. Sometimes they reject the course requests, and sometimes they do not take the courses. The teaching quality is also good, and the classrooms are smart classrooms with Wi-Fi. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant for us, but the academics at IIT Kanpur are very hectic. No, the course does not make us industry-ready. The semester exams in my department are very difficult; exams occur weekly, with sometimes surprise quizzes and sometimes unannounced ones.

Other: I chose this course on the basis of my rank, not on the basis of my hobby. The best thing about my course I told you above. The things which I want to improve are reducing the workload of academics. The fests are Antaragani, Udhghosh, Techkriti, and others by the E-cell and Dorms Department. Yes, you can get scholarships based on your performance, and there is a separate ground for every sport.

Life in iitk. Hectic curriculum but best life.

Placements: Placement from my course like in core is less but yes student apply for non-core jobs they get that easily. Avg package is 12 Lacs. Internship going on as I am in my 3rd year now almost 330 out of 1200 is recruited for the internship. The lowest package is may be 8lakhs.

Infrastructure: It is really 10/10. If you are comi here you will have best campus life. Everything is too good. You will get free Wi-Fi here. AC is in all classrooms. Library, SL, and computer centre for studying. Sports facility is tooo good. You must come and SEE.

Faculty: It's IIT Kanpur and you must be aware of it's hectic curriculum. Pros are very good. You will be reached here everything about your branch. If you will be joining for aerospace engineering you will have a permission to enter into airstrip and also they will give you joyride in free.

Best college for excellent placement.

Placements: About 80% students were placed in my course. The lowest package is 6,00,000 and the highest above 1 crore. 30% of students got internships from my course. Top recruiting companies for my course are Jasper, HCC, reliance infrastructure, Tata projects limited.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, lab's, classroom, library all are available and are in excellent conditions. Hostel facilities are like an 5 star hotel. Canteen food also best. Canteen opening time is from 2pm to 2 am. Medical facilities are more than perfect. In campus 2 ambulance always available.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful of my course. Teachers are graduated from different countries like France, Canada. Semester exams are very difficult. For getting an average package of about 10 Lacs you will need to maintain your CPI about 7.0. If you study 2 hours daily then it is very easy to maintain CPI.

IIT Kanpur is the best IIT.

Placements: Most of the students of aeronautics go for higher studies and some of them are placed. The quality of education provided is very good. The placement in the core aerospace is low but in future it is going to increase as the demand of aerospace engineering.

Infrastructure: The quality of our hostel infrastructure is very good The food quality in mess is very good the sports facility is also very good in our hostel. We have well-equipped table tennis room. Good badminton ground and a basketball ground also all faculty.

Faculty: All the professors are very much qualified and are very good in teaching the course. The exams are bit difficult and academics are bit tough but you can do it by doing for 2 hours daily. By giving two hours daily you can do very good in academics and explore other.

Other: The fest of IIT Kanpur is one of the best. The Antragni - cultural fest and the Teckriti the technical fest are the biggest fest of our college.

It is a great institute for both studying and enjoying campus life.

Placements: Many companies offer placements with salary packages of 1 CPA in both core and non-core sectors. Students in all branches are placed. The lowest salary package offered is also a respectable amount. Companies like General Electric, Boeing, HAL, etc., come for interviews.

Infrastructure: It has good hostels with uninterrupted power supply and Wi-Fi. It is clean and hygienic. A health center is open 24X7, which is free of cost. They serve good food in the mess, covering all appetites. The sports culture is great at IITK, with almost every type of sports facility available to play football, cricket, basketball, tennis, etc.

Faculty: All professors are highly qualified and have years of work experience. The syllabus is vast and hugely applicable to students. Semester exams are a little difficult, and some students are not able to get passing marks. Consistency in studies is required to maintain good grades.

Other: It is an excellent institute for enjoying campus life. It conducts some biggest fests. Every year, Asia's biggest technical and entrepreneur fest, Techkriti, is conducted here. A huge cultural fest Antaragani is also held every year, inviting some of the biggest performers from all over India. Other events like Udghosh, the annual sports competition, and inter-hall competitions are also held.

Course curriculum in my college is very vast.

Placements: Placements in my college are one of the best in our country. Last placement season we had our 89% of our students placed in companies from all over the world which was the highest placement Statistics in the whole country. Yes my college does provide internship. Internship in itself is a great learning experience and an opportunity to try your hands at new and interesting things. I got an internship at adobe by clearing a test which was then followed by a interview. A stipend of 80,000 was involved. Besides the stipend it was a great opportunity to handle the real world problems which made me learn many new things.

Infrastructure: Extracurricular activities in our college is one of the best in the country, be it sports or cultural. In sports, every possible facility is available. An international sized cricket ground, football ground, hockey ground, olympic size swimming pool, instructors for all forms of sport events including acquatic events. In cultural we have various clubs like dance, dramatics, English and Hindi literature societies, music club, adventure club. They are really very good. In the workshops we learn from the best people in those fields. This helps in improving our personality anx gocusing on our hidden talents.

Faculty: Course curriculum in my college is very vast and gives an insight into the subject which lets you learn the subject to the fullest along with being able to apply that knowledge in the real world. Exam structure here is quite interesting which tests you every possible way. All the quizzes, assignments, general discussions, conduction of interesting labs every week and of the end semester examination helps in learning a lot.

Other: My college is a great place to come to at this age group as the opportunities it provides helps in shaping ourselves as better personalities the real world and raising our career to the peak. The administration body is very active and fast. Also in most of the councils, student representatives have been elected to listen to and understand the issues related to campus and its residents which also gives an exposure to the students to handle the positions of responsibility.

Review of Indian Institute of Technology.

Placements: All students got placed. The median salary package was 19 LPA. There is a huge variety of firms for recruitment. Most people do internships from the 2nd year. Companies that offer internships are mainly software based like Microsoft and Google. Top roles include software, core engineering, data analytics, techno-managerial, and consulting.

Infrastructure: National wind tunnel facility, a few planes, airstrip, high-speed and low-speed aerodynamics lab, structures lab, computational lab, etc. are available. Food is good in the mess and cheap. Food outlets are open 24x7 on-campus. Wi-Fi is available at 700 Mbps. Hostels are clean. Laundry and dhobi facilities are available.

Faculty: Professors are the best. Teaching assistants aren't too great. The curriculum is critically designed and seems outdated. Academics are hard.

Other: There are innumerable student activities. Student has very great power in matters of administration.

JEE-Mains and JEE-Advance are the only available options for admission in IITs and NITs. Therefore, you have to appear in JEE exams accordingly.

IITs indeed take students for their graduation programs but here diploma is treated as equivalent to 12th and whatever rules are applicable for JEE

For B.Tech from IIT Kanpur, you must qualify JEE Mains and also hold a decent rank in JEE Advanced. Since, you hadn't given JEE Main, I don't think you have any chance of doing that. Also based on your 10+2 marks, you are not eligible for IIT Kanpur, even for NITs and IIITs.

Hello Rahul, For admission into IISc a student has to clear JEE Mains. Normally window of only two years is available to have passed 12th. Like for this year, student should have passed 12th in 2016 or 2017. Some other finer details are available on website.
