Everything is excellent at Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering College.
Placements: Above 80% students get their placement in a good company. Like Capgemini, Tata, TCS, Tata Voltas, etc. Average package is 6 LPA. One student of 2025 passout gets a package of 19 LPA. If you have potential to get a placement off campus, you will get a very good company.
Infrastructure: In our college classroom, it is neat and clean. Everywhere in college, Wi-Fi is available. Labs are very good with full AC. Campus library, named Book Bank, is available, where approximately 90 thousand books are available. In college, canteen food is available.
Faculty: Our teachers or faculty members are very helpful to us. They are qualified from NIT Durgapur or IIT Kharagpur. They are knowledgeable about teaching us. They prepare every students for future. Semester exam gaps are 6 months. In semester, pass percentage is above 80%.
Other: In 2025, a passing student got a placement package of 19 LPA. Everything is good, but our college improves everything daily. In engineering college, events are compulsory, and fests are arranged by seniors in February and March.

Satisfied with the faculty, but placements might improve by 2027, infrastructure is good.
Placements: The college placements are good, but due to the current economic recession, placement has been affected a bit. Many students from the mechanical and civil engineering departments have been placed in IT companies. Companies like Accenture, Capgemini, and Cognizant recruit at the college. Cognizant recently conducted a training program called "Stepping Stone."
Infrastructure: The college has Wi-Fi in every lab and hostel room. There are two hostels for girls and two for boys. The food is good, especially the daal. We get four meals a day: breakfast at 8:30 a.m., lunch at 1:00 p.m., snacks at 6:00 p.m., and dinner at 9:00 p.m. Both the college and hostel infrastructure are good.
Faculty: The faculty are good, and some are really very helpful. Mentors are provided to each and every student. Teachers have very good knowledge and are well-qualified. There are four internal exams, CA 1,2,3,4 (25 marks) +5 marks for attendance=30. And semester exams 70 marks Total 100 marks. Practical exams are separate. Pca 1,2 for 40 marks including lab manual writing, viva, lab attendance and a final viva or practical 60 marks =100 marks.
Other: The best thing about it is that it gives me the flexibility to go into either hardware or software. Plus, the job market for ECE is predicted to grow in the future. The college also has some great fests, including a cultural fest and a tech fest. The tech fest has events like Techhackatron, Technovation, Robotrix, and Cinematrix, and they offer exciting cash prizes. As a West Bengal student, I can avail of the Swami Vivekananda scholarship. There are also extracurricular activities like karate classes, a music club, and a tech club.

Faculty members are very good.
Placements: Around 85% of students placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 23 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and EY visit the college. Around 35-45% of students got internships from our course at companies like TCS, Wipro, EY, etc. The semiconductor industry plays the top role in our course.
Infrastructure: In our college, there are many good facilities like a good library structure with many types of books on Indian writers, foreign writers, and others. The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus has very good hostels. There are good facilities like emergency cars, food in the mess, and a playground to play many types of games.
Faculty: Teachers at our college are very helpful to students. Their behavior is also good. Semester exams in our college are very difficult because this year our college is affiliated with autonomous. So in this academic year, it is tough to say how difficult the semester exams are.

It is very easy for CSE and IT students to get placements, but it becomes quite difficult for branches like mechanical, civil and ECE.

College life and campus and facilities.
Placements: Almost 70% of students get placed in our college. The average package is around 4 Lacs, the median package is 3 Lacs, and the highest package is 14 Lacs. The top recruiting companies are Infosys and TCS. Almost 80% of students got internships in their respective fields. In my course, ECE, the top roles include welding, machine tools, and many others.
Infrastructure: In the college as well as the hostel, unlimited Wi-Fi is available, making it very easy to connect to the Internet. There are many labs and workshops available for working on various projects. The classrooms are also big enough for 65 students to sit in according to their course. There is a large central library in the middle of the college with almost 92,000 books available. Our hostel has good facilities, including a common room for indoor games, 24/7 drinking water, and four bathrooms and toilets on each floor. We also have a football ground, tennis court, and basketball court near the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. You can ask any doubts that you can't understand in class, and they will help at any time. The teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable, knowing each point of their respective departments. They teach the topics in a gentle manner. Most of the students like their teaching style, and I also appreciate that. This course helps us to be ready for the industry. The semester exams are not very difficult, but you have to study hard to pass them, especially in the 1st and 2nd semesters. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: For family reasons, I like to study ECE.

Dr. B. C. Roy Engineering college Doomed.
Placements: The percentage of students getting placed is quite good with over 75% students getting placed with decent packages from companies. The highest package can be upto 20 LPA and the lowest can be of 2 to 3 LPA. Some of top recruiting companies are Accenture, tcs, Kotak Mahindra bank, Wipro and many other companies. Their are somewhat decent amount of students getting a internship opportunity from the college.
Infrastructure: College offers a great infrastructure and a green environment for the student studying here in the college. There are separate building for various departments and separate building for library and auditorium. College also has two big grounds for football and cricket and court for playing basketball. The hostel life is very interesting for college, and fun. Food of hostel is also quite great with various dishes served for student regularly.
Faculty: All the professors of the college are very well qualified with many having Ph.D. degree and master degree. Professor are all very helpful to all student and very encouraging to all student. As I'm studying for electronic and communication engineering this course is very much relevant for me. And the college course curriculum make us industry ready with college initiating many seminars and workshops for all student.
Other: I was always fond of electronic things how they work so I choose this course to study. The best thing about this course is that it's not always bookish things you need to go through. This course offers much practical, on-hand participation so that student get to know what they will deal about in future. College organises many events on college campus like teach fest, cultural fest, Science fest, annual sports and many others programme on campus.

A glance at the Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College
Placements: There is a placement cell in college which tries to provide placement for students. Many recruiting companies come as TCS, Cognizant, etc. The offers are not very high in LPA. The package was 15 LPA. College doesn't provide internship. You have to find it yourself.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good, there is a main and three other building a separate building for 1st year and separate building for the civil department, and data Science department. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. There are two big playgrounds. Two canteens a basketball court.
Faculty: The faculty is quite experienced, few teachers are from IIT's. They teach well except few teachers who only focus on syllabus completion. The course curriculum is hard, you have to study well for semester exams as the questions come quite tough. The passing percentage is about 70%.
Other: I choose this course because it gives me a chance to enter the technical field. The campus life is also good, fests are held also techfest is organized every year.
