Review of Dr. S & S.S.Ghandhi Government Engineering College.
Placements: About 20-30% of students were placed in good companies and other students got placed in average companies. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Most of the students got placed through on-campus placements. TATA, L&T, Adani, Reliance, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Project engineer, control engineer, quality maintenance engineer, etc., are the top roles offered after this course.
Infrastructure: All basic facilities are available on our campus like Wi-Fi, labs, library, parking, classrooms, etc. The quality of facilities in the hostel is not good compared to other colleges. The hostel is on campus and it allows Zomato and Swiggy for food delivery.
Faculty: Faculty members of GEC Surat are very helpful and well-qualified in their specifications. The method of teaching is also very good but not practical. The course curriculum is not so relevant as it does not make students industry-ready but many internship programs like TCS YEP are run by the college to make some selected students industry-ready. Semester exams are average in difficulty which means you can pass semester exams easily. Every semester, there is a mid-semester exam for 30 marks, practical for 50 marks, and the external GTU examination for 70 marks.
Other: I chose this course by seeing the future opportunities that it will offer students. The course curriculum can be made more practical which can make students industry-ready. The good thing about this college is that it provides NCC and NSS clubs. It also organises tech fests and other events on time which develop students' overall personalities.

Best Government Engineering College.
Placements: There is a nice placement in this college. Many companies such as Adani, Reliance, Torrent, Larsen & Turbo, etc. come every year to give placements to the students. The placement rate of the college is also nice as compared to other colleges in Surat. The placements also depend upon how a student faces his/her interview.
Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure in all the departments of the college. Students can play any game such as badminton, Carom, Table Tennis and cricket as well. Every year, there is a sports tournament among the students of different semesters as well as different branches.
Faculty: Semester exams are not too difficult as every paper is as per guidance of our seniors. One can easily pass the examinations. Students learn many new things in this college. The teachers available in the college teach every student effectively so that he/she never faces any difficulty in the examinations.

Not in EE but many students get placements in computer EC and IT field, and it's best college.
Placements: 20% of students got placed. The highest salary is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary is 6 LPA. Torrent is the recruiting company. 40-50% of students get internships at Power Supply. Here, the package is good but the ratio of getting placements is less.
Infrastructure: No good infrastructure and no good classroom walls but good thing is environment. All trees give fresh weather and give fresh nature to do more work. College is good but the infrastructure of hostel is too bad. Bad smell is coming through rooms, and no proper cleaning done in rooms. The college students most bunk due to the bad infrastructure of college. Here, computer lab is good. Wi-Fi connection is good and sitting under trees arrangement is also good.
Faculty: There are many faculty members in my college. But most of faculty members are best in electronic, communication, computer, and IT departments. But in the core branch, there are less knowledgeable faculty members present. On the other hand in the 1st year, there are fellow subjects added which are not upcoming work in our future work.

It is good for students. Faculty members are good.
Placements: About 50-60% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Torrent Power, Eicher, and Waaree visit our campus for placements. About 60-70% of students get an internship. Now there is 3 to 6 months internship, which is compulsory in GTU. Top roles are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a Wi-Fi facility. All labs are available for practicals. It also provides workshops, a library, and CCTV cameras. The hostel is available, and it is very good. A canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are available. It also conducts many other activities. There are good classrooms, and smart classrooms are available for video lectures.
Faculty: I am in the 1 semester. Faculty members in our college are good and helpful. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. After an internship, students understand the industry and work of industry. Exams are conducted by GTU, and it is not easy to pass the exams. About 70-75% of students pass the exams.
