Roles offered in electrical engineering are graduate engineer training. Many companies have come here for placement, like Adani Solar Power, Mittal Steel, Torrent Power, etc. Companies came in 2024.
Infrastructure: Facilities available include Wi-Fi, a lab, a classroom, a library, sports facilities, and more.
The quality of the food is not good in the canteen, but the sports facilities are good.
The quality of the food available in the mess is not good, and the medical facility is not very good. Sports and game facilities are not very good, and cricket and volleyball are available in sports and games.
Faculty: There are too many qualified and knowledgeable teachers.
The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready.
Semester exams are a little bit difficult, with a passing percentage of 35%.
Other: I chose this course because it is the nearest to my house.
Quality of canteen food should be improved.
Events such as campus crowd, connectivity and seminars always take place in college, like extracurricular activities, etc.

Not in EE but many students get placements in computer EC and IT field, and it's best college.
Placements: 20% of students got placed. The highest salary is 12 LPA, and the lowest salary is 6 LPA. Torrent is the recruiting company. 40-50% of students get internships at Power Supply. Here, the package is good but the ratio of getting placements is less.
Infrastructure: No good infrastructure and no good classroom walls but good thing is environment. All trees give fresh weather and give fresh nature to do more work. College is good but the infrastructure of hostel is too bad. Bad smell is coming through rooms, and no proper cleaning done in rooms. The college students most bunk due to the bad infrastructure of college. Here, computer lab is good. Wi-Fi connection is good and sitting under trees arrangement is also good.
Faculty: There are many faculty members in my college. But most of faculty members are best in electronic, communication, computer, and IT departments. But in the core branch, there are less knowledgeable faculty members present. On the other hand in the 1st year, there are fellow subjects added which are not upcoming work in our future work.

Review of Dr. S & S.S.Ghandhi Government Engineering College.
Placements: About 20-30% of students were placed in good companies and other students got placed in average companies. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Most of the students got placed through on-campus placements. TATA, L&T, Adani, Reliance, etc., are the top recruiting companies. Project engineer, control engineer, quality maintenance engineer, etc., are the top roles offered after this course.
Infrastructure: All basic facilities are available on our campus like Wi-Fi, labs, library, parking, classrooms, etc. The quality of facilities in the hostel is not good compared to other colleges. The hostel is on campus and it allows Zomato and Swiggy for food delivery.
Faculty: Faculty members of GEC Surat are very helpful and well-qualified in their specifications. The method of teaching is also very good but not practical. The course curriculum is not so relevant as it does not make students industry-ready but many internship programs like TCS YEP are run by the college to make some selected students industry-ready. Semester exams are average in difficulty which means you can pass semester exams easily. Every semester, there is a mid-semester exam for 30 marks, practical for 50 marks, and the external GTU examination for 70 marks.
Other: I chose this course by seeing the future opportunities that it will offer students. The course curriculum can be made more practical which can make students industry-ready. The good thing about this college is that it provides NCC and NSS clubs. It also organises tech fests and other events on time which develop students' overall personalities.

Best Government Engineering College.
Placements: There is a nice placement in this college. Many companies such as Adani, Reliance, Torrent, Larsen & Turbo, etc. come every year to give placements to the students. The placement rate of the college is also nice as compared to other colleges in Surat. The placements also depend upon how a student faces his/her interview.
Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure in all the departments of the college. Students can play any game such as badminton, Carom, Table Tennis and cricket as well. Every year, there is a sports tournament among the students of different semesters as well as different branches.
Faculty: Semester exams are not too difficult as every paper is as per guidance of our seniors. One can easily pass the examinations. Students learn many new things in this college. The teachers available in the college teach every student effectively so that he/she never faces any difficulty in the examinations.

It is good for students. Faculty members are good.
Placements: About 50-60% of the students from our course got placed. The highest salary package offered in our course is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Torrent Power, Eicher, and Waaree visit our campus for placements. About 60-70% of students get an internship. Now there is 3 to 6 months internship, which is compulsory in GTU. Top roles are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a Wi-Fi facility. All labs are available for practicals. It also provides workshops, a library, and CCTV cameras. The hostel is available, and it is very good. A canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are available. It also conducts many other activities. There are good classrooms, and smart classrooms are available for video lectures.
Faculty: I am in the 1 semester. Faculty members in our college are good and helpful. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready. After an internship, students understand the industry and work of industry. Exams are conducted by GTU, and it is not easy to pass the exams. About 70-75% of students pass the exams.

I am not satisfied with the quality of education, faculty members, and infrastructure.
Placements: Only 10% of students from our batch got placed on the campus. Students from our course did not get an internship. Few students got placed in Torrent Power company. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. The role offered is the electrical technician.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is good, but the quality of food served in a mess is not good. Facilities and infrastructure are good compared to other government colleges. The canteen and other amenities are below average. Facilities for sports and other games are also not that much available for students.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were qualified, but they are not friendly with students. The course curriculum was not practical. Professors deliberately fail students in internal exams for no reason. Labs sessions are not conducted regularly, so students lack practical knowledge.

Review of Dr. S & S.S.Ghandhi Government Engineering College.
Placements: The minimum of 30% of the students got placed from this college. The salary package offered in placements is good enough, and you will get a salary package of a minimum of 2 LPA to 4 LPA. Many good companies like L&T, Torrent, Essar and other good companies visit here for placements and offer good jobs for students.
Infrastructure: My department is electrical, and it has a good infrastructure. Other departments also have a good infrastructure, and also Wi-Fi facilities are available in all departments. All departments have good lab facilities and good equipment for practicals. Our college also conducts good activities like sports weeks, cultural, etc.
Faculty: All professors here are helpful to all students and have good teaching knowledge. The course curriculum is helpful and relevant to the course, and our college also conducts extra activities for students future. Technical skills provided here are good and also helpful to students.
Other: I have chosen this course because engineering is one of the best courses after 12th or diploma. You will get a better chance in future to join an engineering-related job, and also to have a development in this field is good.

I am dissatisfied with faculty because of not completing the syllabus as they completed only 40%.
Placements: Only 5%-10% of the students from our course got placed. The average salary package offered is 3.2 LPA, while the highest salary package offered is 4.56 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are SR Steel or SR Construction. The top role offered in our course is a site engineer. Until now, our college didn't provide any internship. We have to find and apply for internships on our own in companies like Utrran Power Plant and ONGC Surat.
Infrastructure: Every department has its own Wi-Fi facility and laboratory. Classrooms are not air-conditioned, but the quality of the classrooms is good enough. The hostel provides good quality accommodation considering the government hostel. The mess doesn't serve good quality food all the time. The first add kit is available, and the equipment of sports is also available.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, knowledgeable and qualified. Their quality of teaching is good. This course curriculum is relevant. It should more be improved a lot to make students industry-ready. Improvement in practical knowledge is necessary for industry-ready.
Other: Sports week and cultural and tech fest are held once in a year. Other than that, extracurricular activities are not conducted in our college. Our college should provide more practical based knowledge.
