Recession affects the placement of every tier of college.
Placements: In the current year, there are almost 70% of students got placed in the CS department. Because of the recession, internships are affected badly. Only 30-40% of students got internships. In this course, top companies offer the role of SDE. For smaller startups, they can also give development-related roles.
Infrastructure: For the course and department, facilities are average. There are labs and a library. There is poor connectivity in the department. In labs, systems are outdated, but we can manage it. The hostel quality depends upon which hostel is given to us.
Faculty: Faculty members are kind of helpful if we approach them or else they don't care much. The course curriculum is relevant to some extent but it doesn't make the students industry-ready. Students need to prepare themselves for the industry. Semester exams are difficult as compared to other colleges.

The college is okay. Good companies do come here and some faculty members are good.
Placements: Around 65-70% of students from the computer science and engineering course got placed in the year 2025. The highest package offered off campus is 54 LPA by Amazon and on campus, it is 31 LPA by Visa. Top recruiters are VISA, Fanatics, Oracle, Well Fargo, Searce, etc. From the 2026 batch, around 35 students got internships in companies like GE Healthcare, Placewit, Visa, Cisco, etc. The top roles offered are software engineer, analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities in the department are good like water facility, electricity, etc. The only thing that I didn't like was the LAN/ Wi-Fi facility because sometimes it didn't work in labs. Rest all things are good. Labs are clean. Hostel facilities are good and the mess food is also good if students are vegetarians.
Faculty: Teachers and professors teach by PPT slides which does not give a good understanding of the concept. Not all teachers are bad, some professors like Dr. Balu L Parne, Alok Kumar, and Keyur J Parmar are excellent professors. The course curriculum is okay and not that level of industry. Basic concepts are good like OS, CAN, OOPS, DSA, etc. Semester exams are difficult if we study one night before.
Other: First and the obvious reason is my rank was under this college and the second reason is I have interest in computers since my school time, so I chose it. Practical Knowledge of industry-level things like AWS, GCP, etc., in Cloud instead of CloudSim should be provided. Events and fests are good. Sparsh and Mindbend are two big events that occur here. In Mindbend, technical competitions like web wizards and Code wards, etc., are conducted. A treasure hunt is also organised.

I am not satisfied with the faculty. Placements are average. Infrastructure and facilities are good.
Placements: Around 60-70% of students got placed with the highest package of 36 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA. The top recruiting companies for our course are JP Morgan, Visa, and John Deere. Some companies offer internships, and the other companies for internship recruitment are Algo University and Placewit. It offers various roles like software development intern, data science intern, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good and it is good value for money. LAN is available in each room. It has a maintained library. Each hostel has reading rooms as well as a sports room. Classrooms are classic and like old school but clean. Labs are well maintained. The food offered in the mess is not bad.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful as most of them are TAs. They are also well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry level but lacks sync with current technologies. They also provide research interns and guides to build industry-level projects. Exams are from moderate to tough levels.
Other: The main motivation behind taking this course is that it is CSE which is a great course irrespective of college.

By my review, you can easily make decision whether you want to take admission in this college or not
Placements: In my +1 batch, the majority of students are placed in JPMC for the SDE role, approximately 19 students got PPO. But now, this company offered to only 2 students, and 1 student rejected the offer. The top companies that visited this year are Wells Fargo, Visa, and JPMC. The placement percentage for CSE this year is 63%.
Infrastructure: The library is good with good infrastructure. The LAN works well, but sometimes, it doesn't work well. In the mess, only veg food is served, instead of eggs. Some hostels have good space for 2 students, but hostels like Nehru and Tagore Bhawan have less space for 2 students. So, never take this hostel during the 3 year course.
Faculty: Every teacher is well-qualified, but sometimes the academic exam can be tough. Not every course exam is tough, like the MIT exam is too tough in the CSE branch. In my year, out of 138 students, 48 failed in end-semester exam at MIT. Also, in some teachers' portions, scoring marks is too tough.

It is a good college with good infrastructure and some top-notch facilities.
Placements: I am a student of B.Tech CSE. Placements are really good for BTech students and the number of companies coming for on-campus placements is also good and is increasing day by day. Around 85-90% of students get placed. The highest package is 51 LPA and the average package is 17 LPA. The lowest package is 7 LPA for B.Tech students. Almost 50% of students got internships from my course.
Infrastructure: The campus infrastructure has really impressed me. Most departments have well-equipped labs, and they do a decent job of keeping the equipment updated. The central library is a great resource. It has a wide range of books, journals, and digital material that are super helpful during exams or research work. Classrooms are modern with projectors and decent Wi-Fi. Hostels are pretty basic but comfortable enough. We will not find luxury, but we will find everything we need to live and study peacefully. Internet in hostels could be better sometimes.
Faculty: I am from the CSE department at SVNIT, Surat. Many faculty members are quite knowledgeable and qualified. A few are really passionate about teaching. Some professors help out during doubts or guide us with projects. The course curriculum is solid and covers the basics well data structures, algorithms, DBMS, and OS. Exams are usually manageable. If we attend classes and study a bit consistently, it will be fine. Some subjects can be unexpectedly tricky, but nothing too extreme. The pass percentage is generally high, and most students do well if they put in a decent effort.

Although the exact score depends on a number of factors, entrance to a reputable university often requires a minimum score of 70 to 80. The term "cutoff" refers to the opening and closing ranks within

Your expected JEE Main AIR is about 68316. The last year closing rank in B.Tech CSE at SVNIT was 13001 for Female general category. So keeping the last year of trend in consideration your chances are moderate here.
