Review of Fergusson College.
Placements: For our branch, placements are less, nearly 40% of students get offers from at least one company, and a few students get 2 offer letters. Some companies hire for intern roles based on academic scores with no interview. Top recruiting companies for the course are Fine Chemical, Lanxess, Sinopec, Pidilite Industries, UPL Limited, etc. Salary is Rs. 30,000. Top roles offered in the course are lab technician and chemist.
Infrastructure: College has its own vibe; it's like old wine. Its infrastructure is one of the best. Free Wi-Fi, AC, projectors, RO drinking water, lift, personal PCs are all provided by the college. We have many libraries where we can borrow books for study. There is no hostel for us on campus; I stay in a PG, some of my friends live in private hostels. The ambience is pleasant, but the quality and quantity of food are the best. In the sports ground, cricket, volleyball, and basketball are played.
Faculty: Our Organic Chemistry department has 12 faculty members and 1 HOD. All have years of experience and they are highly qualified in Organic Chemistry. The course is designed by the college itself. For admission, we have to face an entrance test; out of 1k applicants, 60 students are selected. Each semester has multiple exams: 2 internal exams and 1 end-term exam, in which scoring 40% is mandatory.
Other: No college crowd is awesome, but the watchman uncle wants ID card every time we enter or leave the college.

Best college for practical knowledge.
Placements: At Fergusson College, the placements for organic chemistry are average. Around 30–40% of students get on-campus placements, but all the students get internships through the college. After the internship, many students get placements on the basis of their academic records and skills.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Fergusson College is good. The college has all the facilities like labs, library, hostel, canteen, ground, etc. The college has a Wi-Fi facility on the whole campus. The campus of the college is fully secured and has CCTV cameras everywhere. There is no hostel facility provided by the college so I am leaving for a private hostel near the college.
Faculty: All the faculty members of the college are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The faculty members are very supportive and helpful. Teachers used to help us in all possible ways. Most teachers focus more on practical knowledge than theoretical. The exams at the college are not that tough and can be easily passed with proper study.
Other: The environment at the college is very positive. All the faculty members are experienced. The college has all the facilities. The college library is also well stocked.

I am satisfied as a student because it's a good college.
Placements: There is a separate building on the campus for the placement cell. The college provides placement opportunities, but it's good only for a few students. The academics and other personal traits matter a lot for placements. Internships are also provided.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is historic, and also it is meant to be preserved as our heritage. It gives a glance of India from the British era. It even has dormitory which belongs to one of the greatest freedom fighters. The college is a heritage site itself, and we feel a bit pride being a part of it.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are well qualified. Being a science student, I don't find them inaccessible. The courses are designed by our mentors because it is an autonomous college. Soon it is going to be a university. The courses can be modified by the teacher as per the requirements of NET and SET exams.
Other: The campus crowd is diverse. Students from all over the country and also world study in this college.

To learn more than academics and for overall development you can join this college.
Placements: Placements are good for electronic Science and computer Science graduates. Companies like L&T come for placements. Various companies come for BPO placements for graduates. For post graduates institutes like MACADEMIA and companies like Aurigene, Sunpharma, Asian paints and various IT companies comes with decent packages for various courses.
Infrastructure: Since the college was established in 1884, the campus has stone buildings with renewed infrastructure as well. The main building is really attractive. And every department has its own building. There are facilities like common library and departmental libraries, canteens for sports gymkana and hostel facilities forthe students.
Faculty: Faculty is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. The student has to take efforts and appraoch the teacher to gain more experience and knowledge. The curriculum is revised accordingly and the required topics are there in the syllabus. Teaching methods generally include chalk board classrooms, presentations and discussions as well.
Other: The campus is beautiful and the crowd is friendly and enthusiastic. Fest are held in every december. Sports fest called "JOSH" and other departmental fests are held to increase and enhance your creativity and thinking skills. Various intercollege sports competitions and cultural fest such as "FIRODIYA KARANDAK" are the prestigious ones. And NCC and NAVY branch is also there.
