B.E. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2025
5.0
Great placement compared to other colleges in Navi Mumbai.
Placements: Till our seventh semester, around 25 guys got placed in core companies. There were different companies that came, like Techniomt, Burns and McDonald, Torrent Power, Bajaj Mukand, Adani Oil, Tata Power, Technip, and Tata Power. The highest was around 6 Lacs, but in a few, after the training period, the package was more than 7 to 8 Lacs.
Infrastructure: I was not in the hostel, but from my friends' reviews, who used to stay in the hostel, it was good only. Also, in the Electrical Engineering department, we had many labs like the research lab, MATLAB, PED, etc. The classroom and college interior were good, and we had a boys' common room on our floor.
Faculty: The faculty, especially in Electrical Engineering, was just great, to be honest. They were so supportive, and the amount of knowledge they had was immense. Also, the course curriculum was nice, and I think the name of FCRIT was enough to put a good impression on companies. The rest depends on your knowledge.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty members and average placement in every year.
Placements: In my college above 75 percent students are placed this year. The highest package of the electrical branch is 7 LPA and the average package is three to four LPA. In my college, there is a separate staff and committee for training and internship programs, so there is a high chance to get an internship.
Infrastructure: The faculty members in my course are very helpful for study help. The infrastructure of our college is decent and bigger than the average college of Mumbai University. Wi-Fi is available in the library and in a few labs. There is no Wi-Fi available in classrooms. All types of food are available in our college canteen.
Faculty: College has dedicated teachers who excel in their field. Students appreciate their engaging teaching methods. In my college, there is a pre-test for sem exams conducted in the classroom, which helps us for sem exams. Almost 50 to 70 percent pass without KT.
Other: This college is near my home, and it is one of the decent colleges under Mumbai University, so I chose this college. My father is working in an electrical shop, so I have had an interest in the electrical field since my childhood.

Placement are the same as in other colleges. Strict attendance and good canteen.
Placements: Almost half my classmates are placed with packages between 3.5-7L CTC. Electrical companies have placed students in core jobs at around 60%. The highest package till now in our semester is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3.5L. Top recruiters are embedded engineer, technip- design engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: Overall, the infra is good. All the services are available. Library is kept open until 11pm during exams. Quality and quantity of food is good. This year, a new canteen is made with good performance. A sports complex is available. The college has its own court and ground.
Faculty: Teaching quality is poorer than before. MU has reduced the hours per subject. Still almost a month ago, the entire syllabus is covered. All the topics are covered and notes are also provided. Pass percentage is 99. Teachers are well qualified. Course curriculum is decided by the university. Students are almost industry ready. Semester exams are very strict.

Review of Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology.
Placements: All malpractices happened during the placement time. Top recruiters for our course are Schneider, BBCD, Technip, Godrej, Primetals, etc. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA. Placements for the CS IT branch are very good. The highest salary package offered for CS IT is 14 LPA. The average salary package ranges between 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Almost all students got placed in our college, even if it is not a non-core offer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our campus is good. Our college provides many facilities like clean and spacious classrooms, restrooms, seminar halls, etc. Classrooms and labs are not air-conditioned. Our college has a central library which has a good collection of books, and an internet connection is available. The library fine process is very tedious. The lab equipment doesn't work most of the time, and the whole lab time is wasted completing lab manuals and assignments. Not much emphasis is laid on practical learning. Sports and games facilities are very good, but nothing is free for students. Students have to take memberships to play any sport. The boys' hostel is old and each room can be shared by three students. The girls' hostel is new and air-conditioned on a triple-sharing basis. Reading rooms are not available in the hostel. The recreation room has table tennis and carrom board. Wi-Fi is not available in the hostel and on campus. They provide ethernet for computer labs.
Faculty: A few teachers are knowledgeable. They are concerned with students' understanding and growth of knowledge. Other teachers follow the schedule and conduct unnecessary tests. The HOD of the electrical engineering course is rude. Prelims and resources are the waste of time. The curriculum sticks to the textbook and doesn't make students industry-ready. Exams are not difficult to clear.
Other: I opted for this course because I selected electrical maintenance in 12th. Exam patterns and the syllabus must be changed and should be made practical and industry-oriented. Fests are held twice a year in our college, and there is a compulsion to participate in events, and they are not free otherwise heavy fines are levied on students, or the submissions are not accepted. Our college fests are not great. The student council has sole control of HODs and principal. Numerous clubs are available in our college, but there is no freedom to work as everything is controlled by teachers and requires permission for small things. Vashi station is the nearest railway station to our college at 2 km, and autos are available. The campus crowd is decent. Government schemes and scholarships are available for students. Our college doesn't provide any scholarships.

Satisfied because of placements.
Placements: I'm the placement coordinator for my batch according to this year's data among 75 students 59 are eligible for placement from that 48 placed 30 in core company with 4 LPA average and 8 in IT company. Tata Power, L&T, Godrej, Carwale, TCS, burns, etc. Companies are major recruiting companies. The college takes a mock aptitude test for the 2nd year onwards each Saturday.
Infrastructure: There is a hostel available for boys as well as girls. The charge is 84000 each year. Library provides online books as per student demands. Our college conducted 2 events each year ETAMAX and FACES which include online games and webinars from experts.
Faculty: Our college is affiliated with Mumbai University so it follows the University curriculum. In this 4 year college arrange 3-4 industry visit in a well-known company like TATA Power and L&T and Railways, etc. In my department, there is a total of 16 teachers among that 6 are completed their Ph.D. and 2 are doing it right now and all others completed their M tech is well known University. HOD of electrical department Dr. Bindu s mam is to supporting and she is very nice HOD from all others but as every college has strict teachers, so our department has 2 strict teachers.

College is full of challenges and you will learn to live with different types of people.
Placements: More then 50% students get placed in many high profile companies like TCS, LT, INFOSIS, WIPRO, etc.
Infrastructure: Hostel building is old but facilities are very good. Free Wi-Fi, mess, washing mashines, indoor games like table tennis, carrom board. Volleyball etc..
Faculty: Teachers are well educated and they are very helpful. First year in this college is not good and full of challenges but rest of the years you will learn to stay in the college.
Other: Everything about this college is Good.

Opt only if you have no other option!
Placements: I guess 40% of the students got placements with the highest package of 5.5 lacs p. a & the lowest of 2.7 lacs p. a. Top recruiting companies were Godrej, Boyce, etc. In FCRIT, it is a common belief among the teachers that the students are well versed with the internship part & they are capable to apply for one on their own, so yes good luck with that.
Infrastructure: INFRASTRUCTURE: The classrooms are usually congested with a max strength of 70 students but the college knows that Diploma students will get added to the pre congested rooms so imagine a classroom of 80-85 in a class that can hold 75 max. Same can be said about the labs. Usually they divide the entire classroom in a batch of 4 but still there's not enough space to hold 23 people (3 being the professor & lab assistants) The college just put on Wi-Fi routers throughout the campus but they are just placed to you know attract the newcomers & no actual connectivity to the students. LIBRARY is good until its submission week! Its spacious, quiet, easily accessible & you can get all books, journals you need. HOSTEL (girls) is kind of dingy as I heard from my friends who lived there. Food is average; they serve quantity but no quality. MEDICAL FACILITIES: I never saw one in the campus. SPORTS & GAMES: There's no such thing for engineering students! We were either sent to the college ground nearby only during inter college fest & rest of the times just dream on. Our college has got this magnamous football turf but only reserved for those who pay them to play there.
Faculty: Teachers are good (though there are few exceptions for sure) They are helpful till you do the given work on time, do timely submissions, get minimum retests! & till its not the submission week (yes, at this point the game changes! ) They all are good at what they teach, some though have a tendency where they pretend that you already know the topics or you've learned the same before so there might be some subjects that you'll have to mug up because you won't understand the concepts at all. Curriculum is outdated, the college tends to cover up the gap by arranging guest lectures from industrial personally but still there's a huge difference in what we learn & what we actually see once we leave the campus; basically its like we know the concepts but practically we don't know the purpose! Students are not industry ready until they opt for internships from well known companies.
Other: I heard the college was good; the course offer you a decent package & there's too much to learn & develop oneself in the field. The only best thing would be that if you get placed in the same field in a good MNC, then there's an assured growth in you! I'd really like the college to make freshers aware of all the things they are supposed to know & make them comfortable with the staff members. I know there's an Induction programme the college makes you attend for the same but all students hear is maintain a 6.5 CGPA, 75% attendance & other nonsensical blasphemy. EVENTS: There's ETAMAX, EESA for electrical dept. Campus is overflowing with a lot of students during fests only because they are getting free attendance! CAMPUS SURROUNDING: there's nothing particular in the neighborhood; you'll have to have a break of 45mins to go to the nearest Bikaner to have something satiable. There's just one xerox shop that'll be flooded all the time. The library got a xerox machine but the guy is soo pathetic you'll kill yourself twice before taking a xerox from him. Most of the time that guy is absent, then if he's available, then you'll have to get a receipt from the cash counter for him to xerox & by any chance you miss the count, you're doomed!

Good College in MU University in terms of Education but Below Average Placements.
Placements: Top recruiting companies that came for recruitment were L&T, Kirloskar, Atos, TCS, Godrej. The highest package offered was 5.5 lacs p. a. by Godrej. On an average companies offered 3.3 lacs p. a. The college is not so supportive in terms of summer internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not so impressive and college is located at a place where space is always an issue. And so college always faces a major and common issue of space at every point. Events, labs, library and even canteen are just up to the mark but it is quiet congested due to space ventilation is the second major problem mostly faced in canteen.
Faculty: Faculty is good and will provide you proper notes till the end that will help you to study and clear university papers. Faculty is well qualified and knowledgeable. Few teachers are Ph.D. qualified and are helpful. But faculty is more focused on scoring good marks.
Other: Interest in gaining electrical knowledge from wiring till transformers. Practical knowledge should be given more rather than focusing on scoring marks.
