B.E. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2028

Pretty satisfied with the college, knew what I was getting into. Campus life could be better.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed. The lowest package is 3 LPA. The highest salary is around 16 LPA - 18 LPA. Top recruiters are Godrej and TCS. Internships are compulsory for every student in 3rd or 4th year. The college is now offering B.Tech instead of BE since it just got autonomous status.
Infrastructure: The facilities are really good. Hostels are pretty good too. All the branches have a lot of labs with really good equipment. Wi-Fi isn't available for students but the PCs have it. The quality of the food in the canteen is top-notch without a doubt.
Faculty: The curriculum is now handled by the college because of autonomy. Teachers are really helpful and qualified. They do their best to teach everyone. The course is very relevant to the current trends in the market as it promotes outcome-based education. The exams are fairly easy to pass here.

Average College with No Student Life.
Placements: Mechanical had an average placement according to them, but it's really low and has a really less package. They give paid internships through the college this semester, and final years have some internship possibilities. But during the semester break, if you get an internship offer during the semester, they won't allow you and don't provide the internship letter. They cut your attendance and exams.
Infrastructure: There's no Wi-Fi facility available at all in the college for students. The library is strict and has poor infrastructure. There's a multimedia section with computers, but they are so old and outdated that they won't even start within 15 minutes. Doing the work takes 2 hours on them. The hostel is too strict for everyone, and the boys' hostel is still okayish, but the girls' hostel and hostel warden are like a switch for them.
Faculty: Mechanical engineering is just about lectures, and there should be more industry-level education and labs rather than just lectures. But the college only focuses on academics and nothing else. 90% of the faculty just come in, show PPTs, read them out, and go. They yell at students for sleeping after 7 hours of continuous lectures. Some won't even allow students to go to the washroom after the first lecture, even though we were sitting in the class for more than 3 hours straight.

Excellent teaching faculty, great facilities and good placements.
Placements: According to the sources on our college website, mostly 80% of the students are placed in our branch and some percent of students opt for higher studies for our branch (mechanical) companies, such as L&T, Godrej, etc., which hire engineers. Internship opportunities are very few, but if you have the skills, then no worries.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure, it is quite good; it is not so big, but decent. The library and labs also have sufficient resources, like a multimedia section in the library, which is very useful for those of us who don't have laptops. There is no such college Wi-Fi we have had until now.
Faculty: The faculty is very well suited for the students who want to study. Quality education is provided, and the curriculum is very well managed. They conduct assignment tests, which help in internal assessment tests and prelims for final semester exams. The course curriculum is from a Mumbai university so don't expect that much industry readiness.
Other: I was very interested in electronics and mechanics so I opted for mechanical. They have two early events called as Faces and etamax Faces, which was the best event I had because their were many sports and cultural events to participate in, which made us more competitive, I personally participated in badminton doubles with my friend and the management was well-oriented, but in group events such as cricket and volleyball, etc. There is also a lot of politics, like choosing the players on the basis of friendships or on the basis of identification, which they hate the most. I personally got a TFWS seat so my fees were 90% less than the total actual.

Absolutely satisfied because of the attention we get from the tutors.
Placements: About 85% of students were placed on campus. The highest package was 40 lac pa. The lowest package was 14 lac pa. Tata, Accenture, L&T, etc. are the top recruiters. About 70% of the students got internship in companies like BMW, Triumph, and ISRO. There are many roles offered to our college students, from the lowest to the highest.
Infrastructure: We have 100+ computers and we get the best practical knowledge on our campus. We also have a good canteen with reasonable rates of food and good quality too. We have lots of opportunities for sports and they also provide us with the best materials to study to the fullest and a disciplined library .
Faculty: All the teachers work hard and are helpful and all are Ph.D. holders; they excel in their subjects and give us the best. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and it helps us get industry-ready. The exams are a bit difficult as they expect students to give their best and achieve great heights and the passing percentage reaches up to 87%.
Other: I chose this course to serve in the Indian Defense Forces. More and more practical knowledge would help improve the course. They conduct two official events throughout the year and also conduct official ones.

It is one of the best and top engineering colleges.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students get placed with the highest package of around 7-9 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. TCS is a mass recruiter along with other companies like L&T, Petrofac, Godrej and many more. It's good for students to get recruited for core jobs. Overall, the placements here are the best.
Infrastructure: Students get all the facilities, including A1 library, labs with a great inventory, and well-ventilated classrooms. Hostel students stay without any issue as they have home-like food in the mess and canteens, which are hygienic. Students with interest in sports and games get excellent exposure here.
Faculty: Faculty members are just awesome. Teachers with PhDs teach us. If any student faces any doubt and seeks help, they can get help from their respective subject teacher as the teachers are friendly and solve the doubts within time. Methods of teaching and their way of giving industry exposure to the students are excellent. So, the students get industry-ready.
Other: Mechanical is a course which covers almost all the sectors from my point of view. With covering a lot of fields such as marine, aero and many more, which is the best part. Along with curricular activities, there are fests, events, along with extracurricular activities which keep students enthusiastic. Overall, it's the best college anyone would be looking for.

Review of FCRIT, VASHI from a mechanical engineer point of view.
Placements: Placement committee was organized and well coordinated. There was proper training given to student before the placement interview. All reputed companies related to field of engineering were invited to the campus. Entire placement process was smooth and knowledgeable.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure including labs for conducting test. Proper facilitation of the interview process. Projector in labs to give demo about the companies. Rest rooms for the company employees to conduct the whole process efficiently. The test environment was well organized.
Faculty: Course is bit outdated not related to the current industry standards. The curriculum becomes redundant once the student gets passed out from the college. Less of industrial exposure and practical knowledge for the students. More of industrial visits must be organized.

The college is not suitable for the students who want to enjoy their college life.
Placements: Placements for the students of IT and computer science departments are very good. Most of the students get placed if they are serious about their career and want jobs. But, placements for the students of mechanical engineering are very poor as only 20 students out of 75 may get placed. The average salary package offered for the students of mechanical engineering is 2.5 LPA to 4 LPA. A placement cell is available in our college, and it is very active. Companies like TCS, Accenture, L&T, Capgemini, etc., visited our college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the new building is just phenomenal. Everything is excellent in the new building. Labs are good. Hostels are average as I heard from the students. Quality of food served is average, and it is not very expensive. The library is good, but mobiles are not allowed. Sports and games facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty members in mechanical engineering are average while some professors are good at their job. Most of them are not good at teaching, and they make studies boring. College life here is boring. Teaching methods include projectors and audiovisual systems. The student to faculty ratio is excellent. Many teachers are available, but only a few are knowledgeable.
Other: Life is boring here as you need to go to college daily. Maintaining almost 75% of attendance is mandatory. Every month, they will analyse attendance and academic statistics of every student. If you fall short in any of these, they sign an undertaking form from you and your parents. They are not very understanding. Teachers love to harass students. Humanities department is the worst of all. We have an assembly every morning and late remarks for latecomers. Life becomes monotonous with too many rules and regulations. The college doesn't encourage creativity.

This is a college that all the parents would love and not the students.
Placements: They promise placement to the ones who have a good pointer. Around 70% of the students who apply for placement actually get placed but hardly 30% of the students get placed in the high package companies. The average package for 2018 batch was hardly 3 lacs per annum. Also the maximum students were placed in an IT company which came as a mass recruiter. The senior batch had a better placement record in terms of the companies as well as that package. Max profiles offered were of marketing or sales department.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not that great in 2014 when our batch started. There was only one building wide enough of 4 floors which had engineering Diploma and MBA as well. The construction for the new building started in 2015 and by the end of 2017 the building was ready. The infrastructure is far better now. Food in the canteen is average. The girls hostel is a little over crowded as 16 ppl have to share one flat while 4 in one room. Sports and other related facilities are great. They have a different sports complex which is great.
Faculty: The teachers are quite qualified and they make it a point to complete the syllabus before time even if they have to call the students on their off day. Some teachers also ask the students to maintain a notebook and write in it everyday. It is also checked before the examinations. A lot of assignments and even tests are taken regularly.
Other: The fest are celebrated as a formality. Hardly any permissions are given. Too many rules and regulations. The campus crowd is mostly minority which is South indian.
