GKCIET is growing day by day.
Placements: Our batch comprises 60 students. Currently, no students have been placed as the first batch of our branch will graduate in 2027. There is currently no information about the highest and the lowest packages, as no batch has graduated. Internships are mandatory in our college, and most of the students can get them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice, and there are various new infrastructures coming soon, as they are under construction. Wi-Fi is present in the department building, admin block, and library, but is not provided in the hostel. Our hostel is good and livable. We are provided with a cot, a table, and a chair in the rooms. Mess food is average. Nothing more can be expected, but there is one good meal every month in which they serve delicacies. The college has an MBBS doctor present, and the ambulance facility is always ready. Most sports and games are played, including volleyball, football, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable and good; the quality of teaching is great. The course is pretty much relevant to the industry standards, it just needs some modification. The exams are conducted by MAKAUT and are moderate. The coolest teachers are from the Computer Science and Civil and Environmental Engineering departments.
Other: I got this college through JEE Main counseling. I chose this course because I thought it would be the easiest. Currently, I find it absolutely great, but I have left room for future improvement. Events are conducted by the college, the campus crowd is good, and people from all over India come to this college, but most are from West Bengal. Scholarships are available. We can see the list on the institute's website, but most of them are for West Bengal students. There are a lot of extracurricular activities held on campus, aside from studying, like club activities, etc.

If you want to get a good education in less price, you can choose this college.
Placements: Placement of the college is not so good. Of course, companies visit during placement, but you will not be hired as per your salary expectations. You will have to work more on yourself. Here, teachers will mostly suggest you to appear for GATE examinations.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the college is good. There are elevators in hostels and college buildings are really good. Although, due to the sudden increase in the number of students in the past few years, 3 students are made to adjust in a room meant for 2 students. But the work of building new hostels is going on.
Faculty: Some faculty members are great and some are average, but all of them are highly qualified. Exam conducting is very serious, and you have to maintain 75% attendance to sit even for internal examinations. If you are non-Bengali, you have to remind your teacher to speak in Hindi sometimes.

    Average placement at GKCIET College.
Placements: In mechanical engineering branch, there have been 50% of placements provided to the students. Not many companies come to this college. In this college, there is only theoretical knowledge provided. Only those students who have good CGPA are used to get placements here.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not much good. Lab is dirty, not so properly maintained. Faculty members used to take some serious action about mess food, playing ground, medical facilities, footpath, etc. Mess food is not much good every day for hostel students which is very serious topic to solve.
Faculty: Maximum students get back in subjects in the semester exams. But after filling the PPR form and paying Rs 2,00 for each subject, which we get back, most of the time few subjects used to clear, but not for all subjects. After re-checking those subjects, they used to have much different results.
Other: 75% attendance is mandatory in every CA exam which is not possible for every student, who used to do preparation for competitive exams.

    The future is very bright.
Placements: Average placement rate here is 60 to 70% students are placed 2025. The highest placement offers 6.5 LPA from electrical engineering. The rest are below average. Still CSE batch has not passed out, so placements are low. After CSE passout, placement scenarios will be better. In food technology, placements are very good.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not fully completed, by 2035, the campus will be completed. Now 4 departments and 1 library building are present, with 2 hostels. Classrooms simply do not have a digital board. CSE have 4 labs, with around 30 computers each. No Wi-Fi is present in hostel or academic areas.
Faculty: Faculty are well educated but not so knowledgeable about teaching. Teaching quality is not very good. The course curriculum follows according to Makaut, which is not correlated to our industry-level knowledge. Semester examinations are too difficult.

I'm dissatisfied with the hostel, faculty, and campus placement.
Placements: In our EE branch, only 4-5 students out of 50 are placed, and the placements in this college are average. The highest package is 6 LPA, and the average package is 3-4 LPA. No core or IT companies visit this college. Maybe next year, like 2026 or 2027, more recruiters will come. Internships are a strong area in this college. There are internships in a local power plant, a railway, a food company, and many more.
Infrastructure: In this college, the infrastructure is not so good. Wi-Fi does not work properly in our college, and the library closes after the class. There is no good ground for cricket. Medical facilities are good, but the quality of food in the mess is not good.
Faculty: Some teachers here are very good, but there is a language problem if you don't know the Bangla language. There is no problem with the semester exams. The pass percentage is 65%. The Electrical Engineering (EE) curriculum provides a solid theoretical foundation through core subjects such as Circuit Theory, Electrical Machines, Power Systems, Power Electronics, and Control Systems. These areas remain highly relevant, as they form the backbone of the electrical engineering profession. However, when it comes to industry readiness, the curriculum shows certain limitations.
Other: Events, fests, campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarship, extracurricular activities, etc., are very bad. Here, there is a big problem in verifying your scholarship documents by the college authorities.

This is not a really good college. The name is only CFTU, but there is no feel like this.
Placements: Nearly 90% placed, but the salary is 13,000 per month. The average salary is 2.5 LPA. Companies are HighTechNext only, no other. For internships, there is no chance, only 75% attendance is mandatory in the final year. There are no roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi. There are labs, but the machines are under progress. The hostel life is totally bad. In a single room, 2-3 will be forced to live. If anyone objects, the response is to leave the hostel. There is no infrastructure developed. When the current goes, it goes, and there is no backup.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but the teaching quality is not the best because all come with notes and dictate. There is no scope for being industry-ready. Exams are very bad. The questions on the exam are not what I have read, nor are they what they taught. The pass percentage is good but not satisfactory.
