    Good faculty members and campus.
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and average is 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Deloitte. 70-75 percent of students got internships at Infosys, Cognizant, and Capgemini. Top roles are software engineer, analyst, and developer.
Infrastructure: Our department has Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, well-maintained computer labs, electronics labs, and a library for the entire department. Hostel facilities are good with clean rooms, nutritious food, medical aid, and space for sports and games, ensuring a balanced campus life.
Faculty: Professors are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable with interactive teaching methods. Our course is very curriculum relevant. You can do projects on robotics, drones, and also publish research paper. The curriculum is updated and industry-oriented. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is around 85-90 percent.
Other: I chose ECE for my interest in technology, electronics, and coding. Best parts are practical hands-on experience, supportive faculty members, and good placements. I need more hands-on projects. Campus has vibrant fests, active clubs, good connectivity, and scholarship options.

The college has supportive faculty an updated curriculum, and decent hostel life.
Placements: Around 75-80 percent of students in my batch got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA the lowest is 3 LPA and the average package is 5-6 LPA. Major recruiters included TCS Infosys Wipro Capgemini Accenture and some core companies for non-IT branches. Many students also received internships in reputed companies like Cognizant and startups. The common roles offered were software engineer analyst and developer. Overall placements are good especially for CSE/IT.
Infrastructure: The campus has wellequipped classrooms with smart boards highspeed WiFi and a central library with sufficient books and e-resources. Labs are modern and maintained properly. Hostel facilities are decent with spacious rooms 24/7 water and electricity and reasonable cleanliness. The mess food is average but hygienic and the canteen provides better alternatives. Sports grounds and indoor games facilities are also available. Medical facilities on campus are reliable.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable supportive and approachable for doubts. They use both traditional teaching and modern methods like presentations and lab sessions. The curriculum is regularly updated as per industry requirements focusing on both core concepts and skill development. Guest lectures and workshops are also conducted to improve exposure.

Honest opinion about GNIT : why you should not choose it.
Placements: Only a few students get placed with a very minimal salary package of 3 LPA. In most cases, students get placed at a local company named Keventer. The salary offered ranges from Rs. 15,000-20,000 per month. Almost 80% of our seniors got placed. If students want to choose food technology at this college, I would recommend opting for M.Tech from JU or other top colleges. The most common companies like TCS, Capgemini, and Cognizant provide IT jobs every year during campus placements.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi connection is very poor. Students can never get a good network speed from free Wi-Fi. Labs are decent. Not all classrooms, but, a few numbers of smart rooms are there that have projectors, audio systems, etc. The library does not have much collection of books and most of them have outdated syllabus. The only thing is you get help from the previous year's question papers. Hostel infrastructure is not well maintained. Especially the food available there is not of good quality.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated. Most of them pursued their master's and PhD from JU and some from IITs. The course curriculum is not relevant and will not help students in interviews or get any practical knowledge. It also does not provide students with any industry skills they can apply at their work. Exams are conducted very often. But exams are not difficult at all. Rather, if we study before 3 to 4 days, we can still score well.
Other: Events are organised very often. An annual fest Euphynous named Zyzzva is organised. Every department has its own technical fests like Techverse, Electrophoria, Food Envision, etc. The campus is quite big. Students run different societies and clubs like eco club, music club, and other sports clubs too.

Good placements, supportive faculty, and decent facilities.
Placements: Around 75?80% of students in my batch got placed. The highest package offered was ~12 LPA, the lowest ~3 LPA, and the average package ~5?6 LPA. Major recruiters included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Accenture, and some core companies for non-IT branches. Many students also received internships in reputed companies like Cognizant and startups. The common roles offered were Software Engineer, Analyst, and Developed. Overall, placements are good, especially for CSE/IT.

The curriculum is regularly updated as per industry requirements, focusing on both core concepts and skill development. Guest lectures and workshops are also conducted to improve exposure.
Other: Considering the quality of education, placement opportunities, and infrastructure, the college provides good value for money. The fee structure is reasonable compared to the facilities offered. Students who actively engage in academics and skill-building can definitely get a good return on investment. Most of the faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and approachable for doubts. They use both traditional teaching and modern methods like presentations and lab sessions. The curriculum is regularly updated as per industry requirements, focusing on both core concepts and skill development. Guest lectures and workshops are also conducted to improve exposure.

Growing institute with balanced academics and activities.
Placements: Around 65–70% of students from the ECE batch got placed, while some chose higher studies or off-campus opportunities. The highest package was around 12 LPA – 15 LPA, the average stood at 4–5 LPA, and the lowest was around 2.5–3 LPA. Top recruiters included TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra, along with a few electronics-based companies. About 40–50% of students got internships in IT service firms and startups. The main roles offered were software engineer, system engineer, associate engineer, network engineer, and embedded systems engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for ECE is quite good. The classrooms are spacious with projectors, a Wi-Fi-enabled campus, and well-equipped labs for electronics, communication, and basic programming. The library has a good collection of technical books and journals. The hostel facilities are decent with clean rooms, 24/7 water, and average but manageable mess food. The canteen food is better than the mess, and medical facilities are available on campus for emergencies. Sports facilities for cricket, football, badminton, and indoor games are also provided for students.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are qualified and supportive, though the teaching quality varies from teacher to teacher. Some professors explain concepts well with practical examples, while others rely more on theory. The ECE curriculum follows MAKAUT guidelines, so it is updated but still more academic than industry-oriented. Additional workshops and training are needed to bridge the skill gap. Semester exams are moderately difficult, with questions mainly from the syllabus, and the overall pass percentage is usually above 80–85%. With consistent study, clearing exams is not very tough.
Other: I am pursuing a B.Teach in Electronics and Communication Engineering. I chose this course because of my interest in electronics, circuits, and communication systems, and the wide career opportunities it offers in both IT and core industries. The best part of the course is the hands-on lab work and exposure to practical projects, which build a strong technical foundation. However, the curriculum could include more industry-oriented training and updated tools. The college organizes cultural fests, technical events, and sports meets, which make student life engaging. The campus crowd is diverse and friendly, with active student clubs. Connectivity is good since the campus is close to Sodepur and well-linked by bus and train. Scholarships are available for eligible students under the government scheme. Extracurricular activities like robotics clubs, cultural societies, and hackathons give students a chance to explore beyond academics.

    Good college in this state.
Placements: As I passed out in 2021, it was almost a lockdown phase. My interview is done in online mode. TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, etc., are the companies that conducted the interview. TCS is the top recruiter. The highest package offered is 3.3 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 1.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all over the campus and with CCTV security. The campus is good, there are gardens and playgrounds. The classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. Labs are spacious and having all the apparatus used in industry. The hostel is good. The canteen food is average.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, they are highly aware of what the students want. They use simple language that is easy to understand. The course is slightly old. Different from the course, you have to learn other language courses. There are two semesters in a year, and each semester has two sessionals, which are conducted by the college.
