GITAM University is good and very supportive of students.
Placements: 70% of students got placed through campus placements, and the highest package offered this year is 20 LPA by JP Morgan Chase, and the lowest offered is TCS (Ninja Role) 3.3LPA. The top recruiting companies of my course are Flipkart, Myntra, TCS, Accenture, and Porsche.
Infrastructure: The facilities in GITAM University are top-notch, where every room is a smart room with projectors and unlimited Wi-Fi, and also there is a library access using our ID cards, where we can take books home by registering in the library and return them.
Faculty: I would say teaching qualities are pretty average, in my opinion, because not every faculty works into the subject. Few faculty members just read the PPT on the screens and cover the unit. This course exposes students to industry-ready skills and helps to build a career in respective domains.
Other: I would choose this course because Computer Science is the most in-demand career. We are also exposed to various companies and gain knowledge by meeting seniors. I wish the faculty members would explain more clearly by just not reading the PPTs.

I am somewhat dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: Around 70% of students got placed. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA, the highest is 15 LPA, and the average is 4 LPA. Deloitte, Accenture, TCS, etc., were the recruiting companies. 15% of students got internships, but the college did not provide them. The Computer Science Engineering program is above average, I would say.
Infrastructure: AC classrooms have a high interior design, but the Wi-Fi speed is slow, and there is a bad network for mobile SIMs. The hostel quality and mess food are both average. I would recommend choosing another college because there are many things, like the food isn't that good, and the fee is too high, only rich people can afford it.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and the quality is good. The curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are above average in difficulty. The semester is for only 30 marks when I studied, and the internals are for 70 marks, which is a bit easy, to be honest. We can easily pass the semester and also score good marks.
Other: I chose this course to become a software engineer and developer. Events are good, and the campus crowd is good. The scholarship requires an 8 CGPA every semester.

Review of GITAM School of Technology, Visakhapatnam.
Placements: Gitam University's placement percentage is around 97%, and placement is guaranteed by the college. The lowest was unknown, maybe around 3 LPA, and the highest was 35 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Accenture and Google. The roles offered in college are mostly development and coding related.
Infrastructure: The entire university has Wi-Fi. Every classroom boasts high internet speeds of around 100 Mbps. The quality of food in the hostel mess is excellent. The meals are not only tasty but also healthy, reflecting GITAM's hospitality, which includes unlimited food. Additionally, the sports facilities are outstanding, providing excellent opportunities and encouragement for students to participate in sports activities.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced. They are highly educated and respected. They are Ph.D. holders. Almost all faculty members have doctorates. They are good and well-experienced. They have almost 10 years of experience. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. The course curriculum is helpful to do other things in life. Semester exams are not that difficult. They are pretty easy to go on pass percentage is 35 out of 100 marks.
Other: I choose B. Teach CSE as it is the most demanding right now, high placement percentage is in CSE. Every thing is great about the course no need to improve anything but need to change the college timings. They conduct may events. It is a very amazing college. They provide scholarships for students who score high in exams.

I am proud to have passed out from this college.
Placements: Almost 40% of the students are placed. Training regarding placements is excellent, but students lacking presentation skills could not achieve a placement. Great scope and continuous assistance are provided, but still, only the students who utilized it are happy.
Infrastructure: Whatever a student wants to explore is at their fingertips, the college is well-equipped with the latest technological advancements. Be it entrepreneur clubs or whatnot, everything is encouraged. GITAM personally invests its efforts in improving students' life on campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and experienced in tutoring courses. Not only academic requirements, but also placements, career choices, and even a few survival skills, what not, everything is covered. Teachers here at GITAM provide the utmost professional assistance and support.
Other: The best choice one could opt for.

My college review and my experience.
Placements: Around 99% of students got placed through GITAM University. They have a good placement ratio also some years it varies due to different batches and it's like whoever works hard at GITAM University gets placed. There are very good hiring companies like Google, Accenture, TCS, and many more. There are roles offered in GITAM University like backend developer, stack developer, and all [ I'm in 1st year I don't know much about placements].
Infrastructure: In college, Wi-Fi is available everywhere even in bathrooms there is Wi-Fi access. College has very high internet broadband. Hostels are average but not at all affordable according to their fees. Library is very huge having so many books and knowledgeable content. Mess is top-notch and quality food is very hygienic and food has many varieties. There are very good sports facilities with good grounds and huge cricket ground is available, which is high-top game in GITAM.
Faculty: In our university, teachers are well-qualified with Ph.D. and also the quality of the teaching is very good and understandable. Course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. If we are well-prepared with the notes and listen the classes daily then the semester exams are very easy. Pass percentage is above 90%.
Other: I chose this course, CSE as I want to be an AIML engineer and want to work in a big MNC. My wish would be better in python and all computer languages like C, java, etc. They are so many events held on our campus like shore fest and also the campus surrounding are very clean they maintain it very neat and clean. There are different types of scholarships available.

As per the information available on GITAM college website the admissions in B.Tech programs are based on the performance of GAT (UGTP) an entrance test. Further, 60% marks are required in PCM and aggregate at class 12th level. Hence, GITAM does not offers admission to engineering Diploma holders.

I think there is a mistake in your question.
Because GATE is meant for Post-Graduation courses but it can't make you to get into B.Tech
First of all, you have to complete your B.Tech to be eligible for the GATE.
But, if you want to join in B.Tech CSE in GITAM, you have to appear for GAT entrance ex

College change or university change after first-year is completely dependent on the college and university norms, some university allow it and some won't plus you need to have good scores in the first year to apply for the same. For further details, contact the college authorities.
