PGDM is a full-time two-year flagship course that is offered by the Goa Institute of Management (GIM Goa). PGDM has received NBA accreditation and is equivalent to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree of any Indian university. GIM Goa offers a full-time four-year residential Fellowship Programme in Management. The courses at the GIM Goa are offered in various specialisations. Admission to the FPM course is based on CAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ CSIR NET/ MAT/ UGC NET/ JRF scores followed by a PI round. GIM Goa also considers the work experience, research proposal, academic performance, and statement of purpose of the candidates. The total tuition fees of PGDM course is INR 21.4 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. Candidates who will qualify all the selection rounds for PGP admission will be required to pay the course to confirm their seat in the institute. In case, a candidates is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Candidates need to pay a application fee to apply for admission.
The selection is done in two rounds, namely the regular and the achiever's rounds. For the PGDM course, a small number of candidates is selected for an early interview in Goa. Aspirants eligible for the achiever’s round can apply for ACCESS scholarships. Admission to PGDM course is based on XAT, CAT, CMAT, GMAT scores followed by face-to-face evaluation and profile assessment index. For PGDM BDA, aspirants must also qualify GIM Analytics Aptitude Test (GAAT) for admission. Additionally, Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) is required to apply for the PGDM course. Candidates appearing in the final year of the degree must obtain 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for the PGDM course.
Considering the past three years trend, the CAT cutoff remained consistent for GIM for open category. As per the GIM CAT cutoff 2024, the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM cutoff stood at 95 for CAT for the General AI category candidates. However, for other PGDM specialisations, it stood at 98.5 in 2024. So, the expected can be same for separate PGDM specialisation. Further, the GIM cutoff 2025 is yet to be released.

XAT cut off is released category wise. The cut off percentile for female candidates and male candidates are different. The cut offs for engineering and non engineering candidates are different and XAT cut offs for PGDM BM and PGDM HRM are different. As per the GIM Goa cutoff 2024, the percentile was 85 for the General All India category students. So, considering the previous year cutoff trend, a candidate must score above or in the range of 80 to 85 percentile in XAT.
GIM Goa admission process involves registration, selection rounds and admission confirmation. Candidates need to qualify national-level Management entrance exams for selection. The placement percentage details have been disclosed for 2025 only. However, the salary details are out for 2025 and 2024. Comparing the salary data, the highest package for PGDM, PGDM BDA and PGDM BIFS has increased from 2024 to 2025. For PGDM HCM, the highest package has been constant. On the other hand, the average package for PGDM and PGDM HCM has increased from 2024 to 2025. However, a slight drop was noticed in the average package of PGDM BDA and PGDM BIFS. The modes of Goa Institute of Management (GIM Goa) course admission are online and offline. Admission to various courses is based on merit and entrance examination scores. The accepted entrance exams are CAT, XAT, and others. Students applying through the CAT must first register for the CAT exam. Then appear for the CAT exams. CMAT 2025 was on January 25, 2025, almost four months ahead of previous years. The CMAT exam is usually held in March-April, but in 2023 and 2024, it was held in May. The last time CMAT was held in January was in 2019.
The NTA announced registration dates via an official circular, which was released online on the NTA website on November 14, 2024. The CMAT 2025 exam schedule includes registration window open and close dates and form correction dates. CMAT 2025 registration has started, and the last date to apply was December 13, 2024, and the admit card was released on January 20, 2025.

Students who apply for withdrawal on or before June 30 of the admission year, receive full refund of the academic fee after deduction of INR 1,000 as processing charge. Further, there is deduction from the hostel fee based on the duration of the stay of student in the hostel. Students withdrawing from the course after June 30 of the admission year are not eligible for the refund.

No, direct admissions are not available for many courses at GIM Goa. The accepted entrance tests for admission to the UG, PG, and other courses is XAT, CAT, and others. FPM direct admissions are available for students.
