Ultimate guide to JIT college.
Placements: This year placement rate is low compared to previous years. In the year 2023, placements were great. Some students made it to abroad. The average package was 4 LPA. Last year's placement rate was 93%. Internship opportunities are pretty low and recruiting companies are pretty low, I hope for improvement.
Infrastructure: The college is massive for a tier 3 college it is filled with lush green cover. It has two canteens, one basketball court, net cricket practice, volleyball court, one indoor badminton court, and an empty ground. College has a library with all the necessary materials for reference or borrowing. College has number of labs for research purposes and internship opportunities and it is massively invested in Atal incubation center.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified and helpful. They have a friendly approach and they guide and support us at times even finding our projects. Some teachers need to improve the college and follow VTU so the curriculum is a little outdated. Per semester we have three internals with a gap of 20 days and two lab internals. Internals are pretty easy and the evaluation is legit majority of them pass the semester.
Other: I got into this college through COMEDK and it was the best option for me in terms of fees and course. I took CS as it is trending and has a future and is the root of all advancements. Many technical fests are hosted by the college some are even international. Campus crowd is very decent and you don't have to worry about ragging or bullying extracurricular activities are also supported. They conduct many technical fests very frequently and cultural fests are 2 or 3 per year.

Amazing faculty members and above average infrastructure and facilities, etc.
Placements: I am a 1st year student and as of what I know. About 75% of students got placed from CSE course. The highest package would be around 12 LPA and the lowest is around 4 LPA. I don't know the top recruiting companies in my course. Around 40% of students got internships in the company Vanillamart.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not bad I would say and the college has very peaceful surroundings. There are a lot of facilities available in our college like library and Wi-Fi is available for students. The food in canteen is above average, I would say. I still don't know about hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in JIT are very helpful. They are knowledgeable and they provide students with all the required knowledge and teaching quality is amazing. Course curriculum is relevant, I won't say that course curriculum would make students industry-ready because some of the courses are taught just for knowledge and not for the industry. Semester exams are not difficult. Passing percentage is around 95%, I guess.
Other: I'm interested in CSE so I took it. I like the way the programs and code are and I like to do coding. They are a lot of tech clubs and other clubs in JIT which is very helpful for students also campus surroundings in JIT are peaceful.

It has good infrastructure and facilities but it needs to improve the quality.
Placements: In our college, about 50-70% of students get placements. The highest salary package offered is 35 LPA in 2024. Top recruiting companies like Deloitte, Accenture, Zoho, etc., visit the college for placements. Around 30% of the students get internships according to their skills. We contribute to our ongoing projects.
Infrastructure: In our college, there is a proper library where students can read whatever they want without any disturbance. It does not have proper labs with old computers. There is Wi-Fi in each class but the speed is slow. Facilities in the hostel are too bad because the food and infrastructure are very bad.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to the students. They are always available for us, and we can ask any questions if we want. The course does not make students industry-ready. At some point, they need more knowledge and skill but in college, we can't get everything, so we have to work on ourselves.

Jyothy Institute of Technology known as JIT.
Placements: According to the 2023 placement, our college had given a 93 percent placement record. Also, 10+ top companies and 30+ smaller companies arrived for campus placements. The maximum salary package offered by recruiters was 14.3 Lacs per annum. We may also get internship opportunities of up to 6 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: I'm really tired of the transportation system of my college. My friends and I run after the bell rings to reserve our seats on the college bus. Sometimes our college buses break down halfway, which results in unnecessary tension for students during examinations and practicals.
Faculty: The teachers are very dedicated, as they conduct some extra classes and courses during holidays. They also conduct special classes for students with arrears. They conduct tests daily instead of taking regular classes. Sometimes, they ask us to concentrate on important university questions to pass the examinations.

Overall, dissatisfied with the placement, faculty, and environment.
Placements: Almost 10 percent got placed in below-average packages. If you talk about the highest package, the people who got it were approximately 33, but that too was outside the campus. They will say they did campus recruitment but that is not the truth. The recruiting process is so bad no companies are coming if they are coming they will take 1 or 2 from all and that to waste placement criteria either influence or something. The average package is below 2 lacs; they have placed some people in non-it with 10 to 15k for more than 60 students to show there record. I feel it's a very bad college to go to. Spending lakhs of rupees and getting cons in our pockets. Overall, the placement is bad. I studied computer science in engineering. Only 5 percent got internships; the rest just did some projects, copied and pasted the certificate, and showed it. The people who have talent and potential didn't get any opportunities to show up or attend an interview.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the hostel Food is horrible and rates are coming in the kitchen. I stayed for the first year, then shifted to PG because there was no internet and food was wasted. Classrooms are average and the library is also there but does not fulfill all people's needs. There are so many gatherings but the spaces are very small. If we talk about the canteen, the canteen is so small that people cannot fit approximately 80 chairs and tables, but the total attendance is almost 1000. How do you do lunch in that much space? Labs are there but the faculty don't teach the program; they just show it to the projector and execute it. Also, in the Arduino or microcontroller lab, they don't teach properly; they just try to finish the portion and are less concerned about understanding. For our batch, they didn't finish the portion and simply took an existing survey for all the subjects and if you didn't sign or give feedback, they would blackmail you, like criminal behavior. All faculty will behave as though we are in kindergarten.
Faculty: The teachers were not helpful; they were just qualified by degree but not by knowledge. Except for 10–20 percent of the faculty, all are just worried about the ID card and our physical awareness rather than teaching or delivering the subject on time. They rarely care about anything and just try to finish the portion by reading newspapers and slides. The faculty's behavior is not good with people. My overall experience is mental torture by satisfying their needs. If they have not been taught properly, they will take an exist survey, or for all the work they will be treated like criminals by blackmailing. I have a screenshot of group chat, like how they blackmail us to satisfy there needs. The VTU course curriculum is relevant but the syllabus is too much. There were unnecessary topics that needed to be studied, and there were a lot of changes required to modify the syllabus and then release it with a new syllabus. The pass percentage is 35 but overall, 40 is required to pass the subject. The semester exams were like board exams, like 12 and 10, because the syllabus was tough.
Other: Overall, I am not suggesting this college to anyone. I know I am speaking so negatively about my college but this is the reality. I don't want to spoil someone's dream by wasting opportunities and facilities like placement. Placement is more of a concern. If the company is not coming, you cannot place it outside, as there is a lot of competition. So I will suggest don't go to JIT; it will be a waste of money .
