Really very good college campus and a good teaching environment.

Placements: If I talk about college placement, it is okay, but our department placement is better than the overall college placement. According to our old faculty, they talk positively about the department placement, but not too highly of the college's overall placement. The highest package is around 6-7 lakhs, as I was just informed by a senior student. Mecon is a good company that visited, as it is a regional company.

Infrastructure: The facilities are very good, with special labs for every department. Classrooms are very neat and clean, with good electricity. There is also a library. Wi-Fi facility is not available for college students, but it is available for faculty only. Hostels are also available for SC and ST students.

Faculty: The teaching facility is very good. All the faculty are hardworking and have good knowledge, but some new teachers are lacking; they look less confident sometimes while teaching. If I talk about semester examinations, they are easy, as they are conducted by Ranchi University. Passing marks are just 40%.

Our college offers a good base for further studies.

Placements: There are no placements for Physics honours students in our college. Students from other departments like BCA get placements. Companies like Flipkart, Intra, and Amazon hire students based on their performance in interviews. Physics honours students can give various exams like CSIR, ISRO etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not that good. The Wi-Fi in our college is unavailable. Our classrooms are good. There are laboratories, but a lack of instruments always hampers your studies. Hostels are available for SC/ST students only and not for others. The hostel has two students per room, and a canteen is on the college campus. Sports facilities are also available in our college.

Faculty: The faculty in our college are NET qualified and highly experienced. Our curriculum is based on a choice-based credit system, which is very useful for making a basis for the UGC NET EXAM. Although this course doesn't make any one industry ready, it is essential in making a good base for further studies.

Other: I chose this course because I want to become a professor. The facilities of our course are very knowledgeable. Laboratories should be improved.

Review of Gossner College.

Placements: Actually, our course doesn't offer any on-campus placements, but it offers placements in other categories like BCA, MBA, MCA, etc. These courses usually offer mediocre salaries like Rs. 30,000 per month, which is good considering the fee and level of output of the college.

Infrastructure: The building is very good for an average B.Sc college. It is huge and beautiful. The church available nearby is also very good. There is a separate building for every section like science and arts. Every building is made in a theme and looks absolutely beautiful. There is enough amount of space to play and hang out.

Faculty: Some teachers here are actually better, but one or two teachers aren't up to mark. They are very supportive. Except for some teachers, the majority of teaching staff members are qualified for teaching and are good for it. But some teachers aren't used to online teaching and can't perform as they perform in offline classes. The biggest drawback is there is no mic in classrooms. Sometimes you can't hear what the teachers speak. The curriculum is as per Ranchi University.

Other: Our college organises such a huge catalog of events. Many festivals are celebrated on the campus only. An adequate number of events are organised, which helps to focus on the study as well as improve the quality of teaching.

It has a good infrastructure and facilities but needs more improvement. .

Placements: Almost 35% of the students got placed from our course. Less than 15% of students got internships from good companies. Most of the students of our batch are decided to go for their higher education.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in our course/department are good but there is a little need for improvement. I am a day scholar so I do not know about the hostel facilities or the quality of food served in the mess. The food quality in the canteen is good.

Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, and the teaching quality is also much fine. Some of them are very good. The course curriculum is not much relevant, it would be better if they improve. Semester exams are conducted in a fair manner after as it comes from above/ The percentage is about 92%.

Other: All the things on the campus are good, but not many extracurricular activities are held.

Quality of teaching is good.

Placements: About 10-20% placement occurred each year, and BBA course students also get placement. The highest salary package offered in the year 2019 was about 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is about 2 LPA and the average salary package offered is about 3.2 LPA. Recruiting companies of this college are some of the local companies.

Infrastructure: Hostel facility is quite good. There are mess and library in the hostel, but there is no Wi-Fi. Quality of food is average as in other hostels. For sports, the hostel has a basketball court, a football ground and a cricket ground. There is a sick room in the hostel for students where all the primary medicines are available.

Faculty: Almost all professors are PhD holders. Their teaching methods are very helpful for students. They try to explain concepts in different ways if students get confused. The course curriculum is similar to as Delhi University. So standard is maintained for students to fight competitions on a national level.

Other: I have chosen this course because physics is the core branch of this college. There are well-qualified faculty members for this course. The thing which needs to be improved is its labs as the equipment in the labs is quite old and sometimes damaged. Our college fest is the best in college life, and many events are also held on college fest. Many students participate in them. The day of college fest becomes very colourful with cultural events. Scholarships are given to all the students of reserved category yearly like OBC, SC and ST. Scholarships are about 80% of the fees students pay at the time of admission.

Overall, the college is decent.

Placements: Placement offers were just average in this college. I have chosen B.Sc. Hons, so there are no placements for B.Sc. Hons. Some of my friends who pursued vocational courses in BCA also faced placement issues, despite being good students. Facilities are just average.

Infrastructure: Library facilities were good; you just need to sign and mention the return date when you borrow a book. There is no Wi-Fi. Water facilities are available with good cleanliness. Canteen food is costly and not very good. I don't know much about the sports facilities.

Faculty: Teachers were very strict but good at teaching. I didn't feel comfortable with their behavior towards students. You also need to maintain 75% attendance to sit for the exams; otherwise, you can't take them. Exams are moderate to hard, and the invigilators are very strict.

It is a good college if you are okay with above-average education.

Placements: No specific placements were available when I attended the college. The Physics department has not particularly scope of college placement. There were not many options available to actually delve deep into internship or research activities. The faculty lacks staff.

Infrastructure: The college is a British-era college trying to cope up with a new curriculum. There was only a boys' hostel available, and other students used to accommodate themselves in private hostels. The facility of the hostel was decent. The college has a huge ground, and the canteen was open for the hostelers and the regular students.

Faculty: The exams, which were internal, were conducted timely, but the university exams often got delayed. The college follows RU curriculum. Industry-ready courses are increasing, but I cannot say much about the placement turnout. Semester exams were pretty good.

Other: I chose the course because of the esteemed faculty. Many of the people I know are graduates of this college and serving in academic positions.

Teachers are well qualified.

Placements: In this college, placements for B.Sc are low. Very few companies came to recruit students from this college. Low per cent of students got internships from our course. A few roles are offered in our course such as Engineering, Scientific Research, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is about average. Labs, a library, and Classrooms are pretty good and well maintained. Wi-Fi facility is also available on our campus. But, no Hostel facility is available in our College. The canteen in our college has very low facilities and the food provided was also of low quality.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and were very knowledgeable. Any student can ask any problem without hesitation as teachers are very helpful and hear our problems. Teachers teach according to the curriculum provided by the university. Also, they provide extra knowledge to students.
