Review of Gossner College.

Placements: During my graduation period, I did not get any offer from any private companies for placements. This college does not provide any internships so if students are thinking of getting placements, then this college is not good.

Infrastructure: The classrooms and library are well-maintained and clean. There are also available every other thing which is required in class like a desk, bench, fan, lights, etc. Wi-Fi connection is given to students of the information technology department. The canteen is average. But students can taste dosa from here as this is good.

Faculty: Teachers are good and interactive in class. All have done Ph.D. but the physics department is not good in this college. But maths teachers are helpful. In graduation, the first 2-semester exams are taken in 2 years, then there is a rush of completing the course and taking the remaining 4 semesters in a year.

Other: I opted for this mathematics, because of my interest in it. All things are good about our course and if students are thinking of being a teacher then give the JAM exam after it and do Ph.D. There are also yearly fests, and the campus crowd is not much as they manage different times for different sessions. But there is a benefit, if students are OBC, SC, or ST then fill e-Kalyan scholarships after the exam, then they will get their fee back.

Review of Gossner College.

Placements: Being a graduation student from Mathematics, there are no good placements in our college. Only 2 or 3 toppers from our course get placed with approximately 4 LPA. But if you are thinking of getting placed just after completing the course, then this is not for you.

Infrastructure: There is every essential amenity like Wi-Fi, separate labs for every subject which have practical, classrooms and library which provides all books which you will need. Hostel facilities are available for SC and ST students. The canteen provides a good variety of food.

Faculty: The teachers help us throughout the session, and all the teachers were NET qualified. They teach in a very professional way. This course is relevant for every competitive exam. There are six semesters in total, and for each semester, you have to give mid-semester exams and end-semester exams.

Other: I have to do PhD with mathematics as I want to be a teacher, so I chose this course. There is no crowd in college. Air conditioners are required in summer. Students can fill E-kalyan scholarship and get all their fees back. There are also sports activities in college and annual fests.

It is the best college for B.Sc mathematics Honours.

Placements: Our B.Sc session was from 2017-2020. More than 150 students joined in that batch, but until semester 2, only 120-130 students remained. The rest of the students either left or were absent. The fee is usually approximately Rs. 24,000-26,000 per year for general category students, but for OBC and SC/ST of Jharkhand, they got a full scholarship from Jharkhand scholarship scheme. There was no campus selection. From B.Sc in mathematics, we can select various jobs that are government-based or you can just pursue M.Sc and then apply for professors or teachers as per your wish.

Infrastructure: There were labs, a library and classrooms, which were clean and hygienic. But there was no Wi-Fi for students. The library has two places to study, and one place is within a glass room for students who want to study without any disturbance. Another place is a hall with chairs for students who love to study while discussing. The hostel facility is not open, and the canteen facility is not great. There are no facilities for sports.

Faculty: The teachers here were very helpful and knowledgeable. They are always ready to help us whenever we need it. Even after the classes, when we ask anything, they always give us their time. This course is not relevant to the curriculum. Exams are difficult, but if you have an interest in maths and can spend 4-5 hours studying, then it is the best course. The pass percentage is 60%-90%.

Other: A lot of events and fest were organised. There is a campus crowd, an area at the entrance of college and many more things for the best college life. You can use this place to gather together for any academic needs.

Review of Gossner College.

Placements: There are about 100 students per class. Our college does not provide placements. Companies do not visit our college to recruit students. It does not provide an internship opportunity in the college because education quality will be according to industry demand. The education quality is good.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The class and library size is normal. There is no Wi-Fi system here. The hostel facility is not available on the campus, so the mess facility is also not available. There is a small canteen on the campus in which only junk food is available. Medical facilities are available in a normal situation. Sports like cricket, etc., are available here.

Faculty: Some teachers in our college are very helpful, but some teachers are normal. All teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are organised by Ranchi University, and that exam is normal if students study hard. The behaviour of the class teacher is good.

Other: I have chosen this course because I am always interested in mathematics. Our college should improve how to generate thinking power, how to think about a problem and how to generate a new idea about any problems. Due to COVID-19, our college does not organise a fest or programme.

Gossner College is good. Teachers are also good, but the problem is it conducts exams very late.

Placements: B.Sc in maths doesn't have any placement for our batch. From a batch of 2020, only 2-3 students got placed, and even they got placed with a low salary of only around Rs. 25,000 per month. So, I suggest you not to expect much about placements. Don't join B.Sc in maths, if you want placements after your graduation.

Infrastructure: The library, labs and classrooms are above expectations here, but there is no free Wi-Fi. Labs have a shortage of equipment, and the classrooms are neat and clean. The canteen is not very good, and I don't suggest you to eat there. Sports and games have been organised here.

Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified, and they teach really well. But the physics department is not good enough. However, the maths department is very good, but this course is not helpful for placements and jobs. You should pursue higher studies to be able to get jobs. This course doesn't make students industry-ready.

Other: I chose this course because I have to pursue PhD in mathematics. Maths is a very interesting subject, and its riddle problems are the best thing. Seminars and events are conducted regularly, but due to Covid-19, they are not conducting right now.

Review of Gossner College.

Placements: There were no placements in B.Sc, but placements were only provided in BBA and BCA nominal. Top recruiting companies were McKinsey, Brain, etc., and they also offered internships. Top roles offered are CEO, i.e., Chief Entertainment Officer. The college needs improvement.

Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are library, laboratories, playground, Wi-Fi, lecture halls, canteen, dramatics club, videography club, photography club, sports club, music club and literature club. There is Indira Gandhi National Open University centre at science block 2nd floor.

Faculty: Teachers were qualified with B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD in their respective fields. They were knowledgeable, experienced, but they were non-interactive. The course was good, but it gradually gets difficult after each year. The environment is good for students who can't pay a high fee.

Other: Campus crowd is from lower-middle background mostly.

Completely unsatisfied by the college as exam conductation is not on time, also no good placements.

Placements: College is not autonomous. My college has a low percent of placement. The highest salary is given by a company was one lac monthly. The average salary is given TwentyFive thousand monthly. Companies like Sisca, vipin farmasuticals, jaanta garage, prabhat khabar newspaper company come in my course. The highest package was given by 60K to three of the students and the lowest was given Eight thousand. The average salary is around Twenty Thousand.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great and college buildings are huge, Three buildings are separate for Science, commerce and arts department. Also the college have intermediate courses for Science, arts and best for commerce. The library is not too great but librarians are great. Labs, Classrooms are fabulous, single canteen in college gives good food.

Faculty: Three buildings for Science, Commerce and Arts Departments. Intermediate course is also available, Under Graduate courses like honours in mathematics, physics, chemistry, botony, zoology, like basic courses are available, also college have vocational course.

I choose this course because I wanted to pursue MCA.

Placements: Many students got placement from my college. Percent of students got internship from my course we're approximately 25. The package wasn't too high but we're satisfactory. The highest package was around 6 Wi-Fi was available l. p. a and the lowest was around 3.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: All the facilities and infrastructure are above average. Wi-Fi system was there the internet speed was not too good but manageable. All the labs were there. Faculty: Teachers are very helpful except few they are not too good. They are like friends unlike other colleges where the relationship between teachers and students aren't good. We used to share good bond with the teachers and the teachers too. The qualification of teachers was extremely good. All the teachers were well educated. The semester exam used to happen in fixed interval. Unlike other colleges where the exam came sudden. The college administration were more systematic about exam about practical.

Other: I choose this course because I wanted to pursue MCA. And mathematics honours is considered good for doing MCA that' why I choose mathematics honours. Apart from this I have also interest in mathematics this is also a reason. I think I should focus on attending classes in regular basis and reducing the number of absent. And also I wasn't very serious this is also a reason.
