Good facility and campus.
Placements: For undergraduate students, approximately 40-50% get placements in B.Com and BBA courses, while for arts and sciences courses like B.A. and B.Sc., the placement rate is 20-30%. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest is around 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and HDFC Bank. The internship rate is between 40-70%, with roles such as sales executive, HR, etc.
Infrastructure: Entire hostel and IT block are equipped with Wi-Fi, with air-conditioned classrooms featuring smart projectors, a two-floor library housing over 76,000 books, an event space such as an auditorium with more than 850 audience capacity, a clean and hygienic canteen, and a hostel with a capacity of 170 girls and 150 boys having well-furnished rooms, clean washrooms, a mess serving three meals with tea and snacks, frequent doctor visits, and a well-equipped games room with all sports equipment.
Faculty: Highly qualified and helpful teachers. Teaching quality is fine. According to the principal's message, SD College offers a blend of conventional and vocational courses, including B.A. with additional courses. Exams are reported to be moderately difficult, and the minimum passing marks are 33%.

SD College, Chandigarh - worth it or not.
Placements: I don't have much idea about placements as this is my first year, but the college enjoys a good reputation for placements, and it also advertises a 100% placement record. The college is under Panjab University, so after graduation, students receive a degree from PU, and PU is reputed, and this can help in getting placements.
Infrastructure: The college has great facilities. It has four canteens, and various types of products are available in each one of them. Refreshments are also available at an affordable price. The college has a big library, and almost all kinds of books are available there and are properly arranged so that students can find them easily. There is also a reading hall above the canteen where we can study peacefully.
Faculty: Teachers are really a great support to students. Teachers are also qualified and supportive and dig deep into the topic for students to understand. The course is also relevant. There are also various subjects like business communications and financial literacy that can be of some help to students in the real, practical world. The semester exams are not much difficult. They are easy but a bit lengthy. The pass percentage is 25%, but the time given is three hours for a 90-mark exam, and that many students feel is less, and that is a fallback.
Other: I chose economics honors because I aim to do either IFS or banking service work. The college holds regular fests, and there are also grounds and proper playing conditions for all the sports, and labs are also in good condition. The only thing is that sometimes the benches of classes feel very uncomfortable.

College is good! Go for it.
Placements: In eco-honours, around 80 students are in the college, and if we talk about packages, it depends on the students as to how much effort they put into their degree and also take part in curricular activities that help them make a better resume, and roughly, we can estimate INR 3 to 5 lacs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is too good, and food in the mess is also good. They provide complete clean hygiene, and yes, they do have proper labs, AC classrooms, a library, and a reading hall. The college campus is also good, and of course, people are the best everywhere in Chandigarh.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are really very helpful. And semester exams are not that hard. If we talk about pass percentage, 33% is required to pass the exams. Eco-honours is such a demanding course because it is really helpful to get knowledge in the field of finance.
Other: If I talk about my decision to opt for this course, I would have a great interest in the field of finance!

I am satisfied, and faculty members are the best.
Placements: Many students did not get placed, but it depends on your sincerity. Top recruiting companies of our college are Amazon and many others. About 30% of the students got an internship. Top roles offered to the students are sales and marketing. Everything is perfect here, and they gave internships. It is the best college.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good and well-developed. In most of the wings, they have old infrastructure, but they are good. Labs and library are well-developed. Hostel and mess are average like every hostel, but students can stay happily.
Faculty: Teachers are good, very helpful, well-knowledgeable and qualified. Teaching quality is very good. Their nature is very friendly, and they help students in every situation. They also give personal time if any students face any difficulties. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like economics, and I heard about this college and their course many times. It is one of the best courses. Everything is perfect, so there is no need to improve. Events are the best time on the campus, and fests are well-organised. Extracurricular activities are also good.

It is a good college, and it is famous for its B.Com course.
Placements: Not many companies visit our college for B.A. (Hons.) in Economics course placements. Mostly the companies come for B.Com and M.Com. Deloitte, E&Y and Policy Bazaar are few companies which come and prefer B.Com students. The salary package offered is not very high. Only 2% of the students get placed here.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi facility is available only for registered laptops. Classrooms are good. Few classrooms are air-conditioned. Medical, sports and games facilities are also good. The canteen has limited options on the menu. There is a juice corner too which is great during the summer season.
Faculty: Few teachers teach well, and they are qualified. For B.A. (Hons.) in Economics course, there are options to choose among many subjects which are really good. B.Com faculty members are knowledgeable and qualified. The course curriculum does not make students industry-ready, and mostly it provides theoretical knowledge.
