Candidates who completed the General Nursing and Midwifery or GNM course and are registered as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (R.N.R.M.) with State Nurses Registration Council are eligible to apply.Those who have completed the 10+2 vocational ANM course (revised after 2001) from a school recognized by the Indian Nursing Council are also eligible and those who have completed the older ANM training program (10+1.5 years) should also pass 10+2 or an equivalent examination to qualify. Every applicant must be medically fine. Admissions are held once a year. There is no age limit for candidates applying through the ANM or LHV route. The admission process will also follow specific guidelines set by the respective State Nursing Council or Nursing Examination Boards such as S.I.B.E., M.I.E.B., or C.M.A.I.
