In order to get admitted in Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology, the student needs to fill out the registration forms for TNEA and pass it as it's the sole entrance examination through which HICET admits it's students.
These are the subject necessary for a student to have in class 12th like maths, physics and chemistry along with and aggregate score of 50%.
After clearing the TNEA , the student will take part in counselling session along with others and will be interviewed personally.
As per the placement information available on the official website, the highest package offered during HICET BTech placements 2025 stood at INR 44 LPA. The highest package offered during MCA placements 2024 stood at INR 5 LPA. More than 53 students were placed during MCA placement 2024. Other than this, 49 students were placed during MBA placements 2023.
These are the admission criteria :
MBA : Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate
MCA : Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% aggregate
ME : BE/BTech with minimum 50% aggregate
The TNEA 2026 dates will be announced in May 2026. Directorate of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application process for TNEA 2026.
Candidates can check the important TNEA 2026 dates like registration dates, random number release dates, Certificate verification dates, rank list release dates and counselling dates. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees.
10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200 (Maths 100, Physics 50 and Chemistry 50).
As per the official website of Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology the Fee Refund Policies: 30% of the total fees will be withheld if a registration is canceled within 15 days of the registration date. 50% of the registration fees will be subtracted if you cancel your registration after 15 days but before 30 days. After 30 days of registration, there is no return for cancellations.
