Absolutely dissatisfied because of the poor placement, less connectivity, and the surroundings.
Placements: There are no such great placements in Manipur in any of the courses. After Corona, there are no such great placements in IT branches, either. In the circuit of the ECE branch, there was quite good placement before the pandemic, and there is also good placement for the IT branch.
Infrastructure: The hostels and the infrastructure they provide us are not really good because there is another campus that is under construction. In the future, there will be good infrastructure and hostels. They gave us a flat which is occupied by 9 people with only one washroom and bathroom.
Faculty: The faculty was quite good because they studied from IIT and NIT, and the curriculum was also good, and the exam level was also good. The faculty members in the IIiT were very helpful in nature, but some of the faculty members are very rude. Some faculty members are from the region, also.
Other: The campus crowd was average. The connectivity is less, but the campus surroundings are good because there are mountains around and nice weather. The extracurricular activities are not really good, and there is only one official fest.

A full package of learning and enjoyment is IIITSM.
Placements: More than 80 percent of students get placed, and the highest package is of 40+ LPA, and the lowest is 6 LPA. Top recruiters are Deloitte, IBM, etc. Internships you have to find by yourself, but college will offer you time for it, and also PPO and many got as SDE interns and as a research role in many companies. In my course, many got roles as chip designers and VLSI embedded system designers.
Infrastructure: We have more than enough facilities that are required by us as students, good mess food, good hostels, and also good campus infrastructure, and we got an peaceful and nature healing environment, and our course is full of technical and life lessons teaching courses.
Faculty: All our faculty members have either done their research and PhDs from IITs, top NITs, and many foreign universities, and IISC, iisers and they have good knowledge of their subject. They maintain a good quality in our learning, which makes us industrial relevant.
Other: We have a gymkhana council which holds all the social and cultural events, such as cultural festivals, celebrations, or tech fest celebration, like we have an Ahouba named tech fest, and every year the inter IIIT sports competition is held, and an inter IIIT hackathon named Udbhav is held.

Low rank college, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Manipur.
Placements: Last year, the percentage of students placed was around 46%, and this year, placements are ongoing. Last year, the highest package was 12 LPA, and the lowest package was around 3 LPA. Most companies take software engineers, and there is no placement for electronics and communication engineering. Top roles offered are analytics and software engineer. No internships were provided through college.
Infrastructure: In the hostel, Wi-Fi connectivity is very good, but in college, there are some places where there is no Wi-Fi available. Classrooms are very small, with a capacity of around 60 students, but last year, 3 additional classrooms were inaugurated, increasing the capacity to around 150 students. In college, there is only one bakery. Sports facilities are very poor; there is no indoor stadium, and TT tables are broken, but there is around a 400 M.A. ground. No medical facilities are available in the college. Mess food is very poor, and they charge a high cost for mess food, around 50 thousand for 1 semester.
Faculty: Some teachers are very qualified, but there are some teachers who are only there because of their state criteria. Teaching quality is moderate, and some teachers have obtained their degrees from foreign countries. Semester exams are very moderate, not too difficult. In one semester, there are three assessments and one end-sem examination, and for the lab, there is only a mid-sem and end-sem exam. The course curriculum is very poor. In the 1st year, they only teach the C language, while some good colleges teach Python in the 1st year.
Other: The reason behind choosing this course is the low rank in JEE Main. There are two major events: one is the fresher party, and the other is the hi-tech fest Ahouba. No other fest is organised by the college, but some students are organising small events themselves. Scholarships are only provided for OBC and SC/ST students, and seats are very limited for scholarships.

Eagerly waiting for new campus,
Placements: About 20-40% of the students got placed this year, with still a semester left to complete, so I am hoping for around 80-90% getting placed. The highest placement package was 12 LPA, and the lowest was around 5 LPA. The average was around 9 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Deloitte and Kickdrum. Top recruiting company was Deloitte and kickdrum.
Infrastructure: Our campus is small, about 13 acres, and we have a new campus under construction. In the present campus, we have free Wi-Fi available, and we have many labs for both CS and ECE students. For food, we have a bakery on our campus. We have a badminton court, basketball court, volleyball courts, and a ground for cricket and football.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and experienced. The course curriculum is also very relevant. We have three assessments and one end-of-semester examination every semester, as well as mid-semester and end-of-semester lab examinations. The exams are neither too tough nor too easy.

The college is decent overall.
Placements: About 50% of students get on-campus placements. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the average package is around 8.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, TCS, and IBM. 60% of students got internships from the course in companies like TCS, Jio, and Infosys.
Infrastructure: The facilities are average, according to me. The Wi-Fi is working most of the time properly, and the classrooms are neat and clean, with proper ventilation. AC is also in classrooms and labs. The library facilities are good; all the books we need are there. The food is too good in the morning, lunch, and snacks, but for dinner, it is of too low quality. There is no proper ground for cricket, but for table tennis, badminton, basketball, and volleyball, there are proper courts.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, but some of them are hard to understand. The course curriculum is relevant; it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are of average difficulty. The pass percentage depends on the overall students' marks.
Other: I have interest in this field. The best thing is our soma raju sir, he is excellent in his course and friendly in nature. New campus is on going to built we want to shift in new campus as soon as possible the events and the fest are managed properly.

Good college, but not for closer, only high rankers proceed here.
Placements: The placement of this college is average. A good amount of mass hiring happens once in a while, so it’s good for average students, too. The percentage of around 30% are placed from around 250 students. Top roles offered are SDE, ML engineer, EC engineer, and app developer. Thank you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is mixed. It is currently in a temporary campus with basic facilities like hostels with Wi-Fi, geysers, beds, a reading room, labs, classrooms, and a library, but it is not good for most students. A new campus construction is currently going on, but it has not been inaugurated yet.
Faculty: Faculty at IIIT Manipur is at a spectrum. Some are highly qualified and good at teaching, but there are also those who are not very helpful. Overall, it varies from individual to individual. Some might find it good. The semester exams are done in 3 assessments within a gap of 1 month, and at the end. End sem is conducted.

No, students cannot apply for admission in IIIT Manipur with 60% in Class 12. The percentage is not enough. To be eligible for IIIT Manipur UG courses, students must have 75% in Class 12 with PCM. Students must fulfil the eligibility to apply for preferred courses at IIIT Manipur.
