The modes of IIT Gandhinagar admissions are online and offline. Admission to various postgraduate and undergraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. No,  JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to IIT Gandhinagar are not out yet. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. No, a hostel is not compulsory at IIT Gandhinagar for M.Tech students. However, the college's hostel is very good. Currently, the college has eight hostels. The campus hostels are air-conditioned and have well-furnished rooms. The academic area is just a short distance from the hostels. The student hostels are largely Wi-Fi enabled.

To get a call from IIT Gandhinagar, for MSc admission, candidates must have secured a minimum rank of 413, the toughest course being MSc in Chemistry. The closing rank for different MSc courses ranged between 413 and 438. During 2023, the cutoff rank for MSc in Chemistry was 446 and in 2022, it stood at 352. Admission criteria to IIT Gandhinagar is both, merit and entrance based and is different for all UG and PG programmes.
