To get admission to IIT Kharagpur for BTech(Hons)/BS based on JEE Advanced, candidates must have a valid rank in the exam as per the cutoff list. IIT Kharagpur JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has concluded with the release of the final round.

The last round cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 466 and 19141. Therefore, to get admission to the college irrespective of the course specialisation, candidates must have a rank of 19141 or below if belonging to the General AI category. The admission of a candidate to the PhD programme of IIT Kharagpur is conducted by the Departmental Academic Committee (Post-Graduate and Research), abbreviated as DAC (PG&R), of the Department/Centre concerned, on the basis of

• Overall Academic Performance
• Written Test (Through offline mode)
• Personal Interview (PI) (Through offline mode)

The academic units shortlist the students for final interview based only on the overall academic performance or based on both overall academic performance and written test/ PI. However, final selection will be based on overall academic performance and performance in written test and final interview only.
