I had a mesmerising experience at IITK .

Placements: Position of a professor or a post doctoral fellow or job in industry can be offered to a Ph.D. in chemistry. At least 90-100 % research scholar get these positions depending upon their skills and choices. You can get jobs in top chemical companies and post doctorate in foreign countries.

Infrastructure: Good medical facility with health insurance. Quality of mess food is okay. It depends upon the hostel you are living in. Canteens are really good and cheap. Sports facilities, gym, are available in all the hostels and central facilities are also there.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good. Course work offered is vast. Students can opt the courses offered in other departments. Yes, course curriculum is relevant. They make students ready for different exams . All the professors are good at research and done their post doctoral from top universities.

Other: You can expect events every week or every month. A total of 3-4 fest that happens every year.
